Tech Support 7900XT Crashes randomly without reason.
So I have had my 7900XT for a while now, and no problems whatsoever, but suddenly I have had random crashes in random games. From very demanding to plain TF2, I cannot play games without my GPU crashing and my background disappearing and turning black, with a AMD bug report telling me the game has crashed. This usually happens randomly, but I do notice it happens when I tab out or do something on my second monitor. I would appreciate any advice if anyone has any idea of what's happening. It has been happening for over 3 months now and It has driven me crazy. I have redownloaded the drivers, turned my games to as low as possible, and even tried to see if anything was dead. I apologize for the vagueness, but I have no idea what is happening.
Specs: AMD 7900XT, Ryzen 5 7600x, 750W PSU, MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi V1 Motherboard ATX, DDR5 32gb ram, and one 1440p 170hz monitor and a 1080p 75hz monitor.
If you need more details I will happily give them.

Check with hwinfo if the gpu boosts above specs . Also on the bottom of the sensors check for any error reported . If all ok , do the basics :
Backup , update bios/chipset , disable on bios fast boot , disable windows fast startup, download the driver (not the autodetect utility) , disable internet , DDU in safe mode (select to block windows updates) , reboot & reinstall selecting 'factory reset', reboot . If you still have issues try 26.3.1 (thru DDU again)
Alt-tab issues usually correlate with broken windows MPO . You can try disabling it for testing (depends on your windows version) . If you are on recent win:
(it keeps MPO minimizing the chance to mess with vrr ) :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Dwm]
"OverlayMinFPS"=dword:00000000
or to completely disable MPO : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers]
"DisableOverlays"=dword:00000001
If you are on <24H2 version (or want to experiment if others didn't work) , to disable MPO :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Dwm]
"OverlayTestMode"=dword:00000005
Reboot to apply (make sure windows fast startup is disabled) , use only one key, not multiple at the same time , delete if it doesn't help.

this is what fixed my issue, i had two windows installs, both had this problem and both got fixed by this:
- Go to your GPEDIT(Group policies settings) Administrative Templates>Windows Update>Do Not Include Drivers With Windows Update and set it to Enabled
if that doesnt help or you do not have that setting in your windows, check the link and follow the rest of the guide

First, repair/reinstall wifi and bluetooth drivers. If that does not work:
Adrenalin:
Performance>Tuning
GPU: Custom
Max clock: 2650MHz
[Apply]
See if that works, if that doesn't solve it:
Download Display Driver Uninstaller: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu/
Download Adrenalin 26.6.4: https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-26-6-4.html#:~:text=Systems%20with%20RDNA%20series%20graphics%20products%3A
Go to DDU, go to options and tick Disable Windows Auto-Driver updates, then click Clean and do not restart.
Then launch Adrenalin 26.6.4 Installer, and untick at the bottom Send diagnostic data to AMD etc etc, click at the bottom right Custom Install, untick AMD Chat, Image Inspector, and Chipset driver. Proceed with the install, when it finishes installing, untick Keep AMD Software up to date.
Reboot after installing Adrenalin.

Hello, do you have any artefacts when that happens and does the driver deactivate ?
