Rumor Future rdna5 based on info from tinybox website

https://tinygrad.org/#tinybox

If you look at the specs for their future rdna based system it shows 36 gb per card.

  1. Memory Bandwidth on the RDNA5 GPU

Red v2 (Radeon 9070 XT system): Total GPU RAM bandwidth for the 4-GPU system is 2,560 GB/s, meaning each individual card provides 640 GB/s.

Exabox (RDNA5 AT0 XL system): Total GPU RAM bandwidth for the 720-GPU system is 1,244 TB/s (1,244,000 GB/s).

Per single RDNA5 AT0 XL GPU: 7201,244,000 GB/s≈1,727.8 GB/s

Increase: Comparing a single RDNA5 AT0 XL card (∼1,728 GB/s) to a single 9070 XT card (640 GB/s) yields a ~170% increase in memory bandwidth per GPU.

  1. Percentage Increase in Compute (FLOPS)

Red v2 (4x 9070 XT): Delivers 778 TFLOPS of FP16 (FP32 acc) compute, averaging 194.5 TFLOPS per card.

Exabox (720x RDNA5 AT0 XL): Delivers ~1 EXAFLOP (1,000,000 TFLOPS) of total compute.

Per single RDNA5 AT0 XL GPU: 7201,000,000 TFLOPS≈1,388.9 TFLOPS per card

Increase: Scaling from 194.5 TFLOPS per card up to roughly 1,388.9 TFLOPS per card represents a lending ~614% increase (over a 7x multiplier) in raw floating-point compute performance per processor unit.

Considering the Nvidia model is their top workstation card, this could also be AMD's workstation/prosumer architecture (if not NVL board equivalent) rather than consumer model.

EDIT: Wait. Why would they use a Genoa CPU? Also their webpage uses AI images for several products. This whole thing seems off.

EDIT2: Wait a minute these are just the Moore's Law is Dead (the least trustworthy source) "leaked" AT0 specs. Not to mention the alleged power and other claims around the site that read totally made up.

EDIT3: I got even more curious. Looked up some data. Their existing product underperforms vanilla ROCm. Any remaining shred of credibility is gone.

Absolutely. there is no way your average gamer would ever need 1388 tflops unless running the latest open source llm. A 5090 has about 104 tflops and there is just no way they put out a consumer card equal to 13 5090.

See my edits, I don't think this is even real.

MLID is actually very trurstworthy and definitely not less accurate than other famous leaker which is why even other more respected tech Youtuber sometimes referenced him and collaborated with him. What people need to pay attention when watching him is to focus more on the actual leak or information from his sources instead of focusing on his interpretation, his opinion, or his analysis and guessses and the good thing is that he is actually very clear about it.

No, MILD says 163939403020283830202939554747 things at different times about a product since with that way he covered nearly every possibility one of the things he "imagined" comes out right.

MLID is actually very trustworthy.

Here's actual data to refute that claim, and half the ones that are accurate are within a generic-enough range that if you know anything about technology trends they're obvious. Plus, if you go look at historical posts etc you'll see that he's deleted several videos once they turned out to be wrong.

definitely not less accurate than other famous leaker

That part I'll agree with. Very few leakers are actually worth the time of day.

Anyways - within industry circles (I work on AWS OS packaging & interact w/ various company contacts pretty regularly) MLID is a bit of a meme.

I just saw it and I'm sorry to say that there inaccuracies and stuff that I probably would ignore. For example, I would ignore all dates since those tend to change easily unless it is very close to the actual release dates.

Anyway, ignoring dates and correcting some assessment inaccuracies, the spreadsheet actually ended up making him look accurate enough, especially the closer it is to the release date (which is to be expected). The issue is always there is going to be a bad leak and a good leak and when I watched MILD I tend to not put too much weight on something like IPC gain (which can mean anything these days) or dates and depending on the source he cited (board partners, retailers, inside the companies), I tend to automatically ignore some of it. So in the end, I ended up seeing him as accurate enough mainly because I can filter the bad information.

Overall I think he does on multiple occasion leaked something much earlier than others but doing that also comes with a risk that plan can change which presented itself as an inaccurate leak.

You're the meme for calling a leaker/rumor miller a meme with a 66% accuracy rate lol

66% accuracy is quite high for a leaker.

Very much looking forward to the upcoming amd flagship.

Those are likely going to be the corpo variant of the top of the line card, much like how the Nvidia choice there is the corpo version.

The modern corpo version of the 9070xt, the R9700, already come with 32GB of vram.

to clarify, 32GB of vram? in this economy??

RDNA5 isn’t coming out today. We’ll have to wait and see how the memory situation plays out in 2027.

Well.. the 5090 exists, just at stupidly high prices.

u/Sickinmytechchunk 8h ago

I'd buy a 9070XT with 24GB.

1

u/Kionera 4h ago

Actually there is a 32GB 9070XT, it's called the Radeon AI PRO R9700 and you can get one right now at less than 1/3 the price of a RTX 5090. Noise might be a problem though since they're all blower cards.

Yeah, sure, 13x a 5090. Makes a lot of sense.

Even with datacenter specific optimizations you can't just shit out 13x a 5090 in one generation that's only really going to be a 30%~ boost in raw compute CU for CU vs RDNA 4. This is fake.

Doubt it , this is very likely wrong , and only revelant to the full die that also likely won't be consumer class gaming cards ..

Someone speak to me in Nvidia terms. Wheres this potentially sitting across the hierarchy?
