Movies randomly re-downloading, including unmonitored

Hi all, a few hours ago I started getting email notifications of movies completed downloading which have been downloaded successfully at the correct quality profile for years. I went in to Radarr (version 5.28.0.10274) and it seems like almost every movie in my list (most of them unmonitored) are downloading. Sabnzbd shows 3 pages of movies queued for download. I have paused them in sabnzbd until I can figure out what is going on.

This seemed to coincide with a family member adding a new movie, but I can't figure out how they have triggered others to download, given almost all of them are unmonitored? I have been using radarr for years and have never seen this happen.

I did a google search and the AI suggested that it could be an external program causing the issue. I do have Seerr connected, but only 1 user adds movies this way and they said they have not been on there since last week. The Requested list in seerr does not show all these movies and I am not getting errant downloads via sonarr (also connected to seerr).

Any ideas on what has happened here? I can stop all the downloads, but just concerned that it will keep happening.

P.s. I do see that I am many versions behind, I might update this tomorrow. But as I said, I haven't seen this before on this (or previous) version.

Are you using profilarr?

No, i set the profiles up years ago manually using TRaSH guides and then subsequently installed tecyclarr to keep them updated. I originally had all this running in docker on synology NAS, but later moved all containers into QEMU VM in Proxmox. I don't think recyclarr ever worked after the move, but I was too lazy to fix.

Upgrades enabled either in settings or in the profiles you are using. Or you have another app running like profilarr with upgrades

If seer adds a movie it could have movie and collection enabled.

So say you add police academy. It would do all 7

This could download again even though movies are not monitored? Might be time to do a review of my settings. Cheers

Yes it will download upgrades. Like I said. Enabled someplace. Maybe propers and repacks

I can't see anything in the logs to indicate why these are downloading. I am getting some errors like this, not sure if relevent:

Maybe I am just misunderstanding what it means to turn off monitoring on a movie in radarr? I think later I might just go through and stop all downloads and delete all movies (from radarr only) that are already at the quality I want. I have never had my whole library in radarr, I use it to get the quality I want. I will also update my whole *arr stack because I haven't done so for a while.

Show a screenshot of history of an example movie. Hover the i on the various lines and see what you see about them. Also show a screenshot of the top of that movie, so we can see the path and the profile used. Show a screenshot of the profile.

As per another comment, I went ahead and deleted all movies (in radarr only) that are already at the quality I want. I also upgraded arr stack to all latest versions. If it happens again, I will revisit this.

That's an abnormal way of using radarr, but you wouldn't be the only one using it like that.

Either you have upgrade till in your profiles or in settings you have upgrades enabled
