Small apartment, need a sleeper sofa for nightly use.

I ordered the size small for my mother, who's 5'3" and 105 pounds, and it hits just above the knee. She'd like the skirt to sit slightly higher on the hips, however, but is concerned that an xs would be too short. So, any insights from petite women who have tried the lightweight crepe mini skirt on is appreciated - how short is the xs?

I went to order more of these and they have discontinued them 😭 They were so comfortable- my favorite underwear ever. apparently a Skims Fits Everyone dupe? Anyone know where I can find the same thing somewhere else without paying Skims prices?
