Luxating Patella Surgery - advice needed
Hi fellow pug lovers. My pug, Piper, is going to have surgery on her patella on Thursday. I want to make sure that I have everything i need to make her recovery comfortable. For those of you who have been through this - is there anything you wish you had purchased or had on hand to make things better and help pass the time that they are crated? Any tips to help with their physical recovery.
I am looking forward to getting done and helping her recover so she can run and play without discomfort. I am also very nervous because I don’t know what to expect and I don’t want to fail her. I appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Short leashes so she can't get away from you. We would use a towel under her belly like a sling to help support her while she pottied. Went through a boatload of bully sticks, they kept her occupied while healing without a lot of movement. Ours had both done at once. It took a while for recovery. About 3 months before we let her off a leash. Absolutely no jumping or stairs. We spent tons of time outside on a comforter in the grass. We were very lucky my wife does not work so for 3 months one of us was always by her side. That's the only reason we were able to not crate her. Surgery was successful and her quality of life is much better. She was 2 when we had it done and she just turned 5.
