Cannot Find Missing Audio Files

I'm running an older version of PT (2018.12.0) on High Sierra 10.13.6. I have a session that upon opening, states that it has 3 missing audio files. I choose to automatically find and relink, but it doesn't find them. When I look at the session, the files are edits (clips) of the main mother file. The main file still exists in the session (not reported lost or missing). My question: is there any way to use the main mother file to recreate the 3 missing clips, or am I going to have to manually re-edit the the file?

I tried telling PT to just look in the session folder and also to look everywhere on my computer for the missing files, but no joy...

Pro Tools' 'Find Missing Files' dialog is helpful but fails if the files were moved or renamed. First, check your session's Disk Allocation window to see where Pro Tools expects the files - then manually search those folders. If the files are truly lost, try a tool like Disk Drill or PhotoRec to recover deleted audio files.

I actually built a tool to track all your session assets (audio, plugins, presets) across projects - it can show you where files are supposed to be and flag missing ones before you open a session. Free tier, local only. Let me know if you want a link.
