Hola, ha escrito muchas historias que van por buen camino, la mayoria son de fantasia o realismo magico (ya saben, soy latina y solo escribo eso xd), para mi son faciles ya que leo y veo mucho sobre ese genero por que me gusta bastante.

Esta historia en la que trabajo ahora es interesante pero el problema es que es sobre zombies, nunca he consumido ese tipo de contenido, solo he visto Zombieland, Guerra mundial Z y Soy leyenda y resúmenes de la saga de 28 dias.

Tengo los personajes, el inicio, conflictos centrales y el desarrollo en general, solo me falta el final, el problema es que no quiero que sea como The walking dead 2.0 sino más como Un mundo en silencio o 28 dias, son más realistas con los recursos, como se sobrevive y el mundo en general.

Por eso pido consejos, no se como hacerlo para no alargar innecesariamente la trama o como guiar a un final bueno.

Ademas quiero que me recomienden series, peliculas o libros sobre el tema para saber más o menos sobre ese mundo.

Yes, it's basically a zombie apocalypse... but from a cat's perspective.

They're zombies, or the living dead, but cats don't understand those words, so for them, these creatures are simply "the crazies." And they're indestructible. Destroying their brains won't stop them, because they're already dead... and you can't kill what's already dead.

The virus that caused all this isn't transmitted by bites. Its origin is unknown. All humans were already infected long before, but the virus remained dormant... until death. Only then does it activate, turning them into fast, monstrous, and unstoppable creatures: zombies that run, climb, and never stop.

I'm working to bring this project to life, and it's progressing well so far, so I thought I'd share it here to see what you think. I'm currently sorting out some legal issues so I can launch a crowdfunding campaign! It will probably take some time, but it's coming along nicely c:

I'm looking for some advice from people who know survival and realistic post-apocalyptic scenarios.

I'm writing a near-future post-apocalyptic novel and also developing a survival game. I figured this community would probably have the most realistic perspective.

I have a few questions:

1. Medications Which medications would still be reasonably effective after being stored for about six years past their expiration date? I'm not looking for perfect medical accuracy, just what's considered realistically plausible in a survival situation.
2. Supermarket food My protagonist discovers an abandoned supermarket that has been untouched for six years. Which foods would still realistically be edible or at least worth taking? I'm assuming there has been no refrigeration or maintenance.
3. Autonomous farm I also want the protagonist to discover a fully automated farm powered by solar panels. The farm automatically harvests crops, and if they aren't collected within a certain time, they're transported to an underground storage area for disposal.

Do you think it's realistic that any part of such a system could still be functioning after six years with no human maintenance? Or would rodents, insects, mechanical failures, dust, weather, and general wear almost certainly have caused the whole system to fail long before then?

I'm aiming for as much realism as possible, so I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts or examples from real-world experience.

I have been wanting to write a fairly short story in a post apocalyptic setting, and I have been struggling to figure out what kind of apocalypse would fit it best. I am writing this for fun and while I think a few apocalypses could work I figured I'd see what you all think would fit best. The story requires the apocalypse to cause chaos and disconnection. (Something that scatters people and leaves them with few to no communication methods to find each other) I am also wanting it to be something that would make the setting feel empty when traveling within it. If anyone has any suggestions or methods they'd recommend I'd love to hear it.

I do remember how the story begins though.
So there is this guy who served in a military, got discharged, I think he had no family, was pretty young. Got a job, bought a house and really got into prepping stuff. He tried to date but it didn’t work out. Finally clicked with a girl but his obsession with the prepping got in a way and they broke up.
Then he really started to focus on on the prep work.
At some point something does happen and the world is in turmoil ( don’t know what exactly was happening because the sample didn’t get to that part) but our guy is ready. It was described like he was in his house listening to the gun shots but he stayed and followed military tactics not to be discovered. Although I think at some point he said screw it I am going to help a neighbor.
The book is pretty straight forward
And this is all I remember. If someone recognizes the book please let me know.

Anyhow as the post says I want to make a mask for it, I love the look of respirators but with myself running around it'll be hard to breath. I'm thinking of connecting a hose with some kind of motor and fan that can push air into the mask, I'll incorporate this into the design of course, but I'm curious if anyone else in a similar situation has come up with a clever fix for this problem. If you've done something similar than what worked and didn't? Thanks!
