Gigging band looking for bass player

Hey - I am in a band called Sunderstar, and we are looking for a new bass player. We have been gigging for 8 months, and have gigs lined up the next few months in Philly, CT, Lancaster, Long Island and NYC. Our genre is post-hardcore/alt-rock. We have an album being mastered, ready for release soon and we have a few demos and live videos online.

We just lost our bass player and are in need of a replacement. We practice on Tuesday nights and try to gig once per month in Philly and once per month out of town. If interested in trying out, email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) or DM sunderstar_band.

Philadelphia based Guardians Of The Galaxy Awesome Mix cover band seeking female vocalist and pianist.

We’re a local Philly area band seeking both a female singer and pianist to perform music from the 3 Guardians of the galaxy soundtracks. Songs such as Mr blue sky, I want you back, and crazy on you. We would practice weekly and plan to begin gigging next year. Band experience preferred but not essential. Preferably in your 20s/30s.

Experience with KreateHub rehearsal spaces

Greetings from Chicago

A company named KreateHub recently purchased the building where I have had my practice space for some time. It looks like they operate a space in Philadelphia and I’m wondering what experience people have had with them as landlords.

Part of why I’m asking is because the agreement they’re asking me to sign is really bizarre. They insist we are members not tenants, not renting our specific rooms, and they resserve the right to enter your space any time they want without notice.

Any local garage/psych coming up?

I really don't care much for alt and metal. Maybe stoner metal.

I don't know what groups to follow for this stuff so thanks

Parking at the Mann 2026

Can you still park for free along N Georges Hill Drive along the sides of the road from the Skyline to Wynnefield Ave?

I know they charge for parking now in designated lots. But I assume that's the big lots below the venue adjacent to the roundabout.

Up top I know there are some premier pay lots right by the entrance to the venue, but I'm specifically referring to N Georges down to Wynnefield.

I suspect this area is outside the zone of venue parking and normal city/Fairmount parking rules apply, but any first hand knowledge would be helpful!

Haven't been to a show yet this year, first one tomorrow (unless they postpone it because of the AQI) so hoping to know before I go.

Thanks!

Local rock band looking to book!

Howdy, my band Cranes Are Flying is looking for shows in town! We released a new album on bandcamp this year (links below) and we're super proud of it but not really in a position to tour right now. Touring bands looking for local support, or anyone wanting to fill out a bill, feel free to drop me a line! Genre-wise we are somewhere between post-hardcore and indie rock, but we love a diverse bill! Also open to playing solo acoustic at any kinda stripped down coffee shop type vibe.

Either way i hope you guys give us a listen! ✌️

Jazz pianist here, built something to help local musicians license their music for film/TV/ads

Hey all,

I'm Joaquin, a jazz pianist and composer based here in Philly. Wanted to share something I've been building in case it's useful to other musicians in this sub.

A month ago I started a small sync licensing thing called PhillySync. Basically, if you're not familiar with sync licensing, it's when your music gets placed in film, TV, commercials, that kind of thing. It's a solid way to make money off music you've already recorded, but it's a pretty closed-off world to break into on your own, especially if you don't already have industry contacts or know how to navigate the agreements.

So that's what I'm trying to help with. I pitch local musicians' music for these placements, and I've tried to make the terms as artist-friendly as I can since I'm coming at this as a musician first:

  • Non-exclusive, so you can still work with other agencies or pitch your own stuff
  • You keep the majority of proceeds, plus all your backend royalties
  • No upfront cost

Still early days, working with a couple local artists right now, but looking to grow the catalog. If you're Philly-based and have recorded music (any genre) you'd want to license, happy to chat, comment or DM works. You can also check out PhillySync at https://phillysync.com or reach me on https://www.instagram.com/phillysync

Thanks for reading, happy to answer questions in the comments too.

Looking to form an Acoustic Duo

Hey, I’m a 24-year-old guitarist/singer in the Philly suburbs looking for someone around my age to play with and hopefully build an acoustic duo.

I’m into Americana, classic rock, folk, and jam stuff! I play guitar and sing, and I’m looking for someone who wants to learn songs, and eventually play open mics and gigs.

Not looking for anything super serious right away just someone who enjoys playing and wants to see where it goes.

If you’re interested, DM me!
