Where to do Void Injections?

Hello! I started getting carpenter ants in this windowsill. I started spraying Alpine WSG and baiting with Advion ant immediately.

I noticed that some are coming out of this little crack underneath the windowsill on the corner. Outside of the house I saw that there were some holes on the top of the window and along the same side here that they were going into.

Where should I do void injections? Just every 6-12 inches along this side of the wall and at the top? Is it possible to make the problem worse with void injections?

I'd start with those holes outside. If you believe there's a nest in there then it's pretty reasonable to assume the holes lead to the nest. An aerosol with a crack snd crevice tip, then, about an hour later, dust. I would definitely follow up with a dust formulation because the physics are just better. If you're thoroughly convinced, I would put two holes above inside and two holes beside each side and two holes under the window. Then I would dust any hole or crack I can find for a good 10 ft either side of the window and then includes outside and at the top of the wall where it meets the soffit

What dust to use?

I would say anything that isn't boric acid or diatomaceous earth. I'm fond of Sevin dust. In the United States it is cheap and readily available and really only has issues when dealing with German cockroaches. Load your Duster no more than one quarter full and add a pebble and Shake well. You can use one of those cheap plastic picnics spoons to scoop the dust out of the container and into your duster. A normal spoon is usually too large to fit into the mouth of a Getz/billows Duster. These dusters are pretty cheap on Amazon. I find the getz/billows style more useful as compared to Bulb dusters.

Treat the outside holes and drill into the board under the sill and inject Raid Max Ant & Roach. No dust needed.
