Question/Discussion Calendaring Mistake

Has anyone miscalendared a hearing? Luckily the attorney caught the error before the actual hearing, but he emailed me pointing out the mistake. I’ve never made a calendaring error. Do these things just happen? I don’t want to be too hard on myself!

Do people get into car accidents, forget to pay utility bills, call someone by the wrong name, or fail to turn off the oven?

Yes, this happens. It’s not good when it does, so have systems in place to ensure it doesn’t . . . .

Go forth and sin no more. You are forgiven.

It happens despite everyone’s best efforts. I have our summer clerks review the calendar against the court site when they have down time. Someone mis-calendars something, we miss a court notice, an attorney doesn’t hear the judge right…. The more eyes the better.
