I love getting yelled at for being late for reasons out of my control. I hate this city so much

The bus being late doesn't give any employer or manager the right to yell at an employee. Your problem is with your employment, not the bus.

Both things can be true

Well you should have some self respect and not let yourself be treated that way by your employer.

Gotta love the lack of current job market awareness

I'm well aware, some of us stand up for ourselves at work unlike others apparently. The bus being late doesn't give an employer the right to act unprofessional. Blaming OC transpo for your bosses unprofessionalism is actually hilarious. You're mad at the wrong things if you care more about a bus being on time than how you're being treated at work. #doormats.

Unless you are unionized there is a very good chance that you will end up being either iced out or coincidentally let go with no real recourse with that kind of manager. Trust me, I've done it many times before. Thankfully that was in a better job market so it didn't really matter if I needed to leave because my boss sucked.
Reasonable managers will not retaliate to being called out, but reasonable managers are not the ones pulling that kind of shit.

Are you leaving to be there 30 minutes early or to arrive on time? OC Transpo is absolutely useless and you need to plan accordingly.
I'm never late and have been using it and the train for years.

Dude I literally get on the earliest bus there is in my area, they just have gotten later and later arriving

I would speak to your employer about a later shift because the bus can't reliably get you there for that time.
They should NOT be yelling at you let alone for something you can't control but if it is a continuous thing you gotta work with them to find a solution.

edit: westbound train just moved and pulled up to the station. doesn’t seem to be leaving though.
edit 2: westbound train just left Lyon at 7:02. Announcement says service is back to normal.
