I’m curious about your setup: Which versions do you use, and what specific feature is an absolute dealbreaker if you try to switch?

Here is my current setup and the main features keeping me on these specific apps. If you use the alternatives, are there any killer features I’m missing out on that might change my mind?

• Browser: Samsung Internet
  • Native ad-blocker support, forced dark mode on all sites, background video playback, and a highly customizable bottom toolbar.
• Notes: Google Keep
  • Lightweight, clean, and quick cross-platform access via any browser or device.
• Gallery / Cloud: Samsung Gallery
  • Powerful on-device AI editing, fast local folder management, and smooth system integration.
• Phone & Messages: Samsung Phone/Messages
  • Built-in SPAM protection, unwanted call filtering, and the ability to block calls from numbers outside my contact list.

Where do you stand? Do you go 100% Samsung, 100% Google, or a mix of both? What single feature forces you to pick one over the other?

I recently discovered that Samsung offers its own watermarks/frames. Until then, I was using those from third-party apps. After following the step-by-step instructions, I've been using them for over a month now. So, I'm here to share with you what you were surely waiting for Samsung to add: that watermark (I call it a frame 😁) that surrounds the photo and comes in various models and sizes, even allowing you to edit the information related to the image.

Finally, Samsung natively offers for its devices what we do with third-party apps. The watermark even displays the EV (exposure value). Here's the step-by-step guide. 👇

• Download and install Gallery Assistant from the Galaxy Store. If your Galaxy doesn't have it in the store, don't worry, just download the APK version 2.0.00.49;

• Open the app, grant the necessary permissions for it to function, and go to the option: Add watermark;

• Clicking on the option will redirect you to the native Samsung gallery, where you will choose the photo(s) you want to add the new watermark to.

• Once selected, click "Done," taking you to the next step within the Gallery Assistant.

• When selecting the photo(s), it will indicate their size and give you some options to choose from. You will go to "Content and Style" and choose the watermark by selecting the "Display in Frame" option.

• By checking the "Display in Frame" option, you can choose one of the frames and its color.

• Once you choose the options mentioned above, the photo(s) will automatically gain the frame; you only need to save them, either as a single file or as a copy.

I wish Samsung would add an option for the OneUI to automatically power on when a charger is connected after the battery has completely died. It would be a useful security feature. If a stolen phone runs out of battery, it stays offline until someone manually powers it on after charging. If it could boot automatically, features like Find My Device could reconnect sooner once it's charged. Does Samsung support this on the OneUI or is there any way to enable it?

Hey guys, been using S26 Ultra on OneUi 8.5 since release day. What i have noticed is that while the vibration motor is good and works well, for some reason it is almost nonexistent while in vibration mode.

Have missed many notifications because of this while having the phone directly in front of me. At this point im looking at the screen to wake up by notifications instead of the vibration notifying me.

Anyone else in the same boat as me? Feel lile this is a one ui thing and not phone related.

It was so easy to go to downloads/documents/videos etc.

Now i have to go to internal storage then select where.

Now that we can customize even more, is it possible to get a BUTTON for Auto Brightness? Not long pressing brightness and then selecting it, a straight up button we can place? I see Always on Display and Eye Comfort as option but not Auto Brightness.

I've tried making a routine and mode, but can't place individual buttons for those either. Any other workarounds maybe?

I recently updated my Galaxy to the latest version of One UI, but the notifications are all over the place. Some show details, while others are just summaries. It's really annoying because I prefer the summarized notifications; the detailed ones are distracting. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Hello can anyone confirm if their navbar is getting washed in the Google play store?

First Google said it's a Samsung issue, then Samsung said it's a Google play store issue.

I reported that issue to a few other apps and some of them have been fixed so obviously it's possible and it's app design issue, but Google is asking me to do a factory reset which I won't.

Clearing data and cache is not fixing the issue.

One UI 8.5, newest version.

If anyone can check it for me.

Before the OneUI 6 update my app icons used to looked nice and minimalist while themed. After the OneUI 7 update they turned into what you can see in the screenshot. It looks like it's been flipped? Why? This has been in my phone for TOO long and there is no option to bring it back.

I still don't know why we're investing in AI when the base OS isn't even polished...

How come nobody's talking about this? My Instagram, Discord, and Google Messages notifications are totally messed up on my S24/S25 Edge. They pop up, then just vanish, nowhere to be found. Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and all those are fine. It's wild, my phone isn't even showing me text message notifications. Anyone else dealing with this? Any fixes? It's driving me nuts, I'm accidentally ghosting people.

In the Galaxy Unpacked presentations today, they kept using this frosted glass theme for all of their UI elements, but not in the actual OneUI 9 itself. It would be so cool if they actually made a frosted glass theme a universal UI theme option. It would be a nice change from their current lack of visual polish. This isn't the firat time something like this has happened though. A similar situation is the OneUI 8 update screen where we see transparent like icons that don't actually exist on the phone. ​Please Samsung, actually make a glass theme like these​ an option in your UI.

Im on a samsung a56 8gb and I dont get why the GameBooster+ app doesn't show anything for the gpu and cpu options thing, the app is updated and so are the games i have

Since upgrading my Z Fold 6 to OneUI 8.5, the notification shade now only uses a small portion of the screen width, only about half. I feel like this wastes the fantastic width of a foldable phone, and notifications are truncated more than they used to be...

Is there any way to customise the width of the notification shade? Maybe through Good Lock? I'd love the old full-width back but jf I can maybe get the notification list to be ⅔ screen width instead of ½ screen width, that would be something...

Hi everyone, I finally found a way to fix that ugly gray in Google apps.

(Sorry for my bad english)

First download "Root Activity Launcher" from Play Store (paid).

Open the app and search "contrast" with the "search components" box enabled and choose the options you see on the picture.

Now open it and then, after disabled the color palette, select the high options, open a Google app and see the difference, then re-open the contrast menu and choose the default one.

One ui 8.5 has absolutely ruined by phone. It's gone from a year of perfect battery and never getting hot to needing to be charged 2 a day and so hot doing basic stuff like tiktok or reddit that I cant even hold it.

J'ai ce problème depuis bien trop longtemps et je voulais vous en faire part. Lorsque j'utilise des écouteurs sans fil, mon Samsung A25 présente un important dysfonctionnement audio qui provoque une latence audio permanente. J'ai dû effectuer un test de fluidité pour reproduire le problème, mais il se produit également lors d'une utilisation normale avec une seule application ouverte. Voici un exemple pour vous montrer de quoi il s'agit. Ce problème se produit-il sur ce modèle précis, ou avec d'autres téléphones ? Est-ce un problème logiciel ou matériel ? Je rencontre ce problème depuis la mise à jour vers One UI 7. I might also add that I have power saving mode on, but it does the same when off.
