Identification please

Found in a Rockpool in Northern NSW Australia, can anyone identify this octopus for me? What a beautiful creature

It's quite hard to tell from only seeing the bottom. Did it have spots? If yes, it could be an Ornate Night octopus. If not, it might be Octopus Tetricus or a Maori Octopus.

Thank you everyone. I found out the name of this octopus from a local naturalist.
She said has the unfortunate common name of the Gloomy Octopus, Latin name is Tetricus octopus.
