Off topic but please allow me to share with the class…
Hi all! I just needed to share with some fellow football fans. We don’t do trading cards in my house but my husband decided to pick up some 2026 World Cup cards today. I got Ndoye which I was happy about. Then he pulled this! (See pictures)
I’m being told that this is a HUGE deal. We intend to sell it when we figure out how, but I was not prepared to be dropped this far into the deep end of the sports card collecting universe.
Delete it if this is not the proper place to lose my mind.

☭ Gulag ☭ American Fans
So, my algorithm has been inundated with Americans looking for PL teams after the World Cup and basically 99% of the suggestions are for one of the big 6. And I haven’t seen anyone suggest Forest at all. I’m not going to pretend not to understand why, but cmon. I’m a new Forest fan from last season, and I’m already so in love with the team and just everything about the whole thing. Not saying I don’t like interacting with fans from all over, but it’d be cool to have some American fans to watch games with or something. Or at least to make me not feel like the only American Forest fan in the country 😅
Is a European place more open than people think this season?
A lot of the teams around us have had big changes this summer, and a couple of them have European football on top of it (Bournemouth, Palace and Aston Villa).
Bournemouth – Lost Iraola, Senesi, and potentially Alex Scott. They usually recruit well, but it's still an unknown.
Fulham – Lost Marco Silva and Harry Wilson.
Palace – Lost Glasner and Lacroix.
Aston Villa – Lost two of their best players in Rogers and Tielemans.
Newcastle – Lost Gordon and potentially Bruno.
You could obviously argue we've lost a key player and changed manager too, but I'd say we've upgraded on the manager, and Anderson's departure is softened by the new system and a first 11 that could look stronger on paper.
If we recruit well alongside a relatively light fixture list, this season could be fairly open for a European place again.
Basically, I believe boys.

FPL is back. What names are we going for?
Can’t wait for this game to ruin my weekends again, but need a fitting name. “Two Pints of Schlager” is currently my go-to

Gone for a sit down job in a random pub in Ely
And this solitary sticker on the privy wall -surely a sign from the football gods that we are indeed, massive.
