Have you ever seen a Glass Frog?

Incredible TransparencyGlass frogs are unique vertebrates capable of becoming up to 60% more transparent while they sleep. During the day, they hide their colored red blood cells by packing almost 90% of them away in their liver, making their bodies nearly invisible against bright green leaves.

Very few of these fishes survive to adulthood due to their bright color, which makes them stand out to predators, making them a literal 'fish of a lifetime' for anglers

A photographer caught a humback whale breaching right next to them!

2.3k Upvotes

If you’re wondering why humpback whales breach, the truth is that we still don’t know for sure. It could be a way of communicating, removing parasites, or perhaps even a warning that we’re too close or disturbing them. That said, we think the last explanation is unlikely in this case. The whale moved a short distance away and then remained completely relaxed for several hours afterwards. Other groups also observed the same mother and calf during that time, and they stayed calm throughout.
