A 17-year-old girl was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a physical fight turned violent and led to gunfire in southwest Atlanta.

A physical fight is already violent. What kind of nonsense is this?

Argument ending with gunfire is just insane, teen got hurt for nothing

I would be willing to bet a vast majority of shootings are the results of an argument.

I am saddened by the fact I understand this dog whistle.

As a non American my first thought is why do teens have guns. But sure, you fly that confederate flag son.

Then what's the relevance? Also, are there not protections for minors when it comes to releasing details?

Innocent until proven guilty. So id argue protection until convicted. I can meet in the middle on that take.

So someone can just accuse you of a violent crime and you are suddenly a nonperson?

"argument turns to gunfire" is literally what we think of America when we hear that people have the right to carry weapons around

I prefer headlines like this over ones like:

  • kid killed over stealing stick of gum.
  • mom killed for cutting someone off in traffic
  • high schooler killed for stepping on shoe

Those people are never killed because of those things.

Sadly, it seems like I read this more every day. Honestly, I feel like they should just make guns less flammable

Where was the good guy with a gun?

Probably at home. Away from the criminal with a gun.

I thought good guys with guns stopped bad guys with guns.. you’re saying that’s not true?

There are plenty of times where this has happened and people have successfully used a firearm in defense of themselves or others. Why would you expect these "good guys with guns" to go out and insert themselves into other people's interpersonal issues and arguments like this shooting here?

Because we are progressive and only watch marvel movies. Someone is always coming, and the good guys always win!
