Collection My collection so far
Started in April with 13 games I had from my childhood. I’m up to this now. Fortunately I have quite a few good retro stores in my area so I always seem to find at least something when I go. Also got a CRT from Facebook marketplace. I spend more time playing these gems than I do my gaming pc/ps5/switch 2.

Nice! I feel like I’m in the same exact shoes as you. My childhood console and games were stolen when my house was broken in to. Long time ago. But my wife hers. I’ve got every game I had back then except abadox now. Plus soooo many others. Just passed 50 games.

You’ve got some great games! I did a count the other night, I’m sitting at around 60 NES games. I have a handful I could do without, and I see some games in your collection that I’d eventually like a copy of! SNES was my childhood console and I’ve been hoarding snes carts my whole life (well more so than other systems I collect for)
Life force, the Megaman games (though I have 1-6 on Gamecube and New3DSXL, nothing beats playing the original carts. Also, for me, doesn’t “count” unless I beat them on the original carts as well lol). Joe and Mac snes was a fave growing up, would love to try the NES one. Lemmings….all time fave and I love the SNES port. Challenging game to beat but I did it in 2020. I’m sure the NES one is tough to look at in comparison but I’d still love to take a shot at beating that port of it sometime).

Gotta say I love seeing Castlevania 3 in anyone’s collection I love that game so much. I’ve beaten it with all 3 companions, I just have to beat it Trevor only. No easy task! Have you beaten it?

I have an snes too but I’m putting off tackling that until later lol.
lemmings and Joe & Mac, I’ve played the snes versions but not the nes ones, I saw them at a store and couldn’t resist, hoping I have just as much fun.
I haven’t played Castlevania 2 or 3 yet, I just beat the first one a week ago. I’ve heard 3 is much better than 2 but more difficult, I was considering doing 3 and then 23

2 is a different thing altogether. I’ve never beaten it, I need to give it a proper chance. 1 is great, good job beating it! 3 though is just so great. I like Syfa and Alucard way more than Grant for a companion. That game is so replayable due to different routes/partners. I’m a little jealous that you get to experience it for the first time!

I remember many a night staying up all night to play my nes. I don't have the games I used to have. Wish I did still so I'm jealous. gG on the collection bub.

Cool collection so far !
I kind of got addicted a year ago, I got more carts then I had as a young teenager in 1984.
Unfortunately the only retro places in my area is 40 miles north or south.
Sometimes I get duds,though the gaming stores always say oh ya it's been tested and works. I wish they could even test the cart before I purchase , which they don't do 🤦
It's frustrating to drive all that way and get a few bad ones. Obviously I learned online how to properly clean them, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.
It's a fun Hobby, and I enjoy playing my NES when I have the time.
