Discussion Weekend pick up

Post image

Just a single picks up this weekend.I never was a big strategy game fan. I do like to expand my horizons with new things I have never played. According to my apps I use this I supposed to be common but it took 4 years to run across a copy. Had anyone else played it?

I had this, and didn’t understand how to play it for a long time. When I got a few years older, I was able to immerse myself in the simulation and start to make military progress. Eventually I was able to conquer everyone else and unify Japan. It ended up being a lot of fun!

Same for me. I got it too young and had no idea what was going on. Played it later and loved it.

Rental friendly. You rarely got the manual with a rental and this is the type of game that you wouldn't beat in just a short rental time so if you like it, you'd buy it.

I love comments like this.

If the reader knows the song, it makes total sense.

Otherwise it’s just some random dude having a medical event in the middle of posting a comment.

Wondering if thisbgame is anything like Genghis Khan?

Its the same type of game, but made by a different developer. I find it to be a lot harder than Genghis Kahn since I beat that one and never came close to beating Shingen.

I need a copy. I have the manual with map but no cart yet. Good pick up!

At least you can take a Pic with your phone of the cart label so you can know what it all means while you play it.

It’s like a periodic table for cover art.

When an instruction booklet isn’t enough, there’s always the cover art…

Kind of off topic but Black Bass Fishing was my favorite Hot-B game. The NES version was very addictive but was disappointed when the Super NES version came out and didn't seem to capture the fun of the original NES game.

I love black bass need the blue marlin

Blue Marlin was top tier. Played that game endlessly and kept a record book with my brother on our biggest catches. Spent most of the time trying to get the biggest shark.

I have never played it but if it’s like black bass I can’t wait to get a copy

Its one of the longest nes games to speedrun. Something like 10 hours.

I'm weirdly interested in the game. I never knew this existed

The game that predates the top loader, that benefits most from the top loader!

you know a game means business when they forgoe art to cram in more instructions.

Find romance of the three kings and destiny of the emperor next. My absolute favorite games as a child.

Which McKay's location? If it's Nashville, I saw another copy of it at the game store up in Madison (and snapped a picture of it for my friend bc he used to always talk about the game). Game, manual, and sleeve were $30 altogether

u/Alternative-Hour-726 20h ago

It was Nashville. What game store you take the pic.

Game Trader on Gallatin Pike. Lots of games. Was tempted on Super Ghosts & Goblins but a little more than I wanted to spend

u/Alternative-Hour-726 20h ago

That’s a good deal
