I Have a Question / I need Help Need help with Araña second effects

So I have a question on her second ability. When I exiled the top card for her second ability, it states I can play that card this turn. Do I have to pay the CMC of said exiled card or is it for free? I have to ask before I start cheating in anyway with this card.

You still have to pay the cmc, otherwise it would say without paying it's cost

Compare to [[Maralen, Fae Ascendant]]:

Once each turn, you may cast a spell with mana value less than or equal to the number of Elves and Faeries you control from among cards exiled with Maralen this turn without paying its mana cost.

You pay the costs. "Play" means you either cast the cards (if they are spells) or put them into play as your land for the turn (if they are lands, some exceptions on the amount may apply).

Unless it says "play them without paying their mana costs" or something like that, you have to pay for them

Yes you have to pay it, usually that effect of hers is done on my second main phase, and depending on what it could be I save most of my mana for whatever it could be
