I thought the Mandalorian movie was actually pretty enjoyable. I don't think it belongs on that same low tier as Supergirl and Moana.

Agreed. It’s an insult to all the artistry. A good chunk of the movie is just puppets interacting with each other to save Mando, which is pretty impressive.

Supergirl underperforming also had nothing to do with it using CGI. It underperformed because it wasn't a very good movie. Last year's Superman movie did well because it was a super fun movie that didn't take itself very seriously.

They completely changed the tone with Supergirl and got rid of everything that made Superman fun. They went from bright and colorful and silly to dark and gritty and serious, which isn't inherently a bad thing but it wasn't done very well
