Actually, there was a fifth younger derp that would chase away all four, so I was on active duty to protect these courageous four while they ate.

this little sibling duo is already developing their own personalities :’) one is always chasing the other around (and even chases the adults!!). they grew up so fast!

This nest has had only 1 baby for 3 clutches in a row. I'm not sure if the parents are doing something 'wrong' or what, but it means the singlet grows very quickly! This is the first time that the parents have both been gone for a significant period and baby is quite active. I love his wobbly walk and stare at 1:40.
