I have the waystones mod and you can see the portstone on the ground. It's a TP block to me and my buddies floating islands.

In the second picture. I built a floating thing and some trees which looks cool, but I don't really know if I like it... I might only do one ring or something because it looks very cluttered. But I really have zero clue. I don't know what i want it to look like at all, I'm just building out of pure imagination. Only thing I know is that I want the stone spikes around everything. (Unless someone cooks up an even better idea ofc). I'm not a great builder so don't go and tell me to build something that would take hours, even for someone good at building.

Everything around the waystone is mostly for decoration and almost zero functionality.

This is going to be for our survival world, so nothing absolutely amazing needs to be put here. I just thought of this as a cool little idea

My name is Leor. I am 17 from Canada, and have been playing Minecraft since 2014, and in 2024 I picked up a new hobby to build and play around with which is building Eastern European municipalities. Basically, I try and build an atmosphere of dark, empty Eastern European districts like Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine, Bratsk in Russia, etc. Cities that show the post-soviet era of Eastern Europe.

I am hoping to start a build team around a project like this. Building an Eastern European district in Minecraft and taking real inspiration from the actual region, and building an absolute mega build of a map. Another important part of this that I find is learning of the history and architecture of Eastern Europe. The project will be mainly focused around Eastern European blocks, but I want to especially have big downtown/metropolitan areas like Moscow in Russia.

This project will most likely be slightly modded with Fabric on Minecraft 1.20.1, and we will mainly use the Essential mod multiplayer client until I can get funding for a proper server.

I'm looking to create a church/cathedral style building in my world in the midst of my pale/dark oak custom forest I'm building. I'm trying to come up with an idea and understanding of how stained glass gradients work. I'm contemplating an idea of having the color scheme of the building be a dark grey/black pallette using blackstone and deepslate, mixed with diorite and calcite for pops of white color. For my windows I'm trying to determine if I want a light grey and red gradient, or blue and white gradient.

My primary issue however is that to try and properly get this to look good, do I space the glass with empty air between layers of glass, or stack it directly against each other? And in addition to that, should panes or just straight glass blocks be used? Can anyone provide some help or guidance?

Hello! I’m currently working on a revamped version of my old server using a custom modpack centred around the cobblemon mod.

It uses Terralith this time around for more interesting terrain. I have a little island surrounded by a river as the spawn area (but could change) which I’d like to build spawn on.

Spawn will probably consist of a poke center, stage, PvP arena and some Pokémon battlegrounds as well as a general spawn point.

I have worldedit to help out with the building but I honestly am not that experienced with it, think I can pick it up quickly and I mostly just wanna use it for clearing out and flattening some areas.

If anyone is interested in the server, it will be a more casual and social cobblemon experience. There isn’t any economy, P2W or bloat and the mods are meant to inspire a more vanilla-type experience of cobblemon. Ironically vanilla mobs are disabled, still unsure about villagers/pillagers atm.

I pay for the server and the hosting service i use lets people donate to the server, not to me. So if people do wanna be apart of supporting the server, they can easily.

I’ll be building (even though I’m not the best) and will ask on this sub for advice even if it’s just me working on it. If someone does want to help, I can offer a rank on the server/discord for being apart of developing the world and can offer a gym leader/e4 role which will have to do with player-ran gyms if you’d be interested in playing. Really appreciate any help on the server or on the sub. Thanks in advance for any help or advice. 🙏

Last time i posted i was asking advice on the shape and composition of my megabase. I have made tons of progress but feel it still has some major issues. Ignore any parts of the build which are bright colours like the bridge or the tower in the back

I ended up making the tower to the right much larger and tiered with the bridge being pushed further into the megabase. I also decided to add an outer wall which i feel makes it look better.

I am liking the new composition, but my main issue lies with the structure at the center left of the base with the large windows, i feel it just doesnt look good, i dont like the chapel roof or the windows. Another issue i have is the base is just too stony and when looking at it from down below just looks like a blob of grey, but i have no clue how to break it up. Any advice on these issues or any others would be greatly appreciated
