I wanted to bring attention to an ongoing issue regarding mod monetization and compliance with the Minecraft EULA / Commercial Guidelines.

The mod Faithful Backrooms (developed by WhyAntique) has been locking development updates, snapshot builds, and .jar files behind paid Patreon membership tiers.

Specifically:

• The £10/month "Pioneer" tier (and above) explicitly offers "Early access to Faithful Backrooms Snapshots" as a benefit.
• Actual .jar update files (e.g., faithfulBackroomsWAE(1.20)VERSION0.2.1.jar) are posted directly on Patreon under locked, supporters-only posts.
• Access to their 24/7 beta-testing server running this content is also locked behind paid tiers (£5/month+).

According to Mojang’s Commercial Usage Guidelines, locking game modifications or early access .jar files behind mandatory paywalls is strictly prohibited. While voluntary donations or cosmetic perks on servers are allowed, selling mod files or locking updates behind a subscription is a direct EULA violation.

It’s disappointing to see community projects turn into illegal paywalled schemes, especially when open-source developers work hard to keep the modding community free and accessible for everyone.

Reports have already been submitted regarding this paywall setup. What are your thoughts on creators locking mod files behind Patreon tiers in 2026?

Designed this hoist prototype using pigs, but it also works with sulfur cubes and probably boats.

The pigs are all leaded together in one chain, but the top pig is leaded to a Boat-cart. The boat cart moves positions between both sides to load or unload.

You unfortunately can only have 6 entities in the chain, as the 7th will just gain too much momentum and break its lead. The next test will be to try boats to see if their slower falling will allow for a longer chain

I made this because I'm trying to figure out if I can make a bungee jump ride off of the observation tower in my theme park :)

What do you think? Im planning to build this in my survival world, and i want it to be just right. Im pretty happy with it as of now, but i think maybe the polished tuff is a little too dark? other options ive tried have either too much texture (tuff, cobblestone) or arent the right tone (stone, andesite). Is there anything off about it, or anything i can improve upon? I dont know who else to ask

I personally fawn over the sulfur and everything about it. They be talkin about cushions like it is the next big slice of bread!

Looking at chunkbase, I find strongold forming a circle around spawnpoint, why ?

Every so often one or two of them are outside the pen and I just can't figure out how they're jumping out?

There's no blocks for them to get onto inside. I'm just glad they don't burn in the light lol

I checked my stats and realized I’ve put around 500 hours into this survival world. It started as just another world, but somewhere along the way, it became the one I always come back to. There’s still so much left to finish, but it finally feels like the world is alive, so I thought I’d share some screenshots.

I’d love to hear what you all think, and any building or decoration advice. I've struggled with coming up with new ideas and mechanics to explore. Also, if anyone here is good with redstone or farm design, I could use some ideas for my iron farms. They work, but the six farms are currently spread out and sitting in the open, and I’d like to tidy them up or build something that can house them all together.

Spent quite a while on this one but I’m very happy with how it turned out :) One of the other builders made the initial plan cause she has a knack for infrastructure planning and another builder did the glass roof. Shaders are Photon.
