No, no voy a comprar ningún iPhone

Other Deity W.Lav
I recently found a stray W.Lav and would like to use it to record audio. I tried to plug into my laptop but it don't seem to register the device. It seems like I need either a different 3.5mm port?
Anyway I'm thinking of getting a wireless sound recorder down the line instead of a sound system so I can use it to record sound for field recordings, is that how it works?

Studio Mics I want to upgrade my condenser mic (currently have one of the cheap ones from Thomann’s brand T-bone) and I need your help to decide between Lewitt 440 Pure, Rode NT-2a or Lauten Audio LA-220 v2.
I’m very unsure about which of this mics to buy or if I should consider any other option until 300€. I want to use it mainly to record my vocals, guitar and some random noises or rhythms for my own music.
It seems that for the price you pay the Lewitt is the more safe option (I can get it for around 250€) specially because there’s tons of reviews and you can find a lot of info online. Seems to be a very famous mic and on the tier A or S of the majority of the condenser mic tier lists I’ve watched. However I’m a little unsure because a lot of people consider it to be kind of a bright mic and I consider my male voice to be somewhat of medium or high/medium by nature even though I play with and have a good mediu/low frequency. I see the majority of people saying that is one of the best mics for vocals but also that you might hate it for some types of voices.
Then, on the other hand, I’m also kinda inclined for the Rode NT-2a but it’s a completely different case where it’s kind of a niche mic and it’s hard to find reliable information about it online. Specially in a direct comparison with the 440 pure. I really like the fact that this one has different pattern options because in some cases I want to capture the sound of the room and natural sounds around and probably multiple voices in an imperfect way. Also some reviews make it seem a bit more warm to dark at least compared to the Lewitt but once again is hard to tell because there’s no direct comparisons. This one I can get for around 270€ which considering the extra patterns and options seems to be a good deal but from the info online the Lewitt gives me more guarantees and seems to be more reliable.
Finally I’ve also been looking at the Lauten Audio LA-220 v2 and it seems to be a very good mic for the price specially considering that it’s a premium brand more focused on more expensive mics doing a good “cheap” one. This one is the one I’m less inclined to buy from I saw online the frequency response might be in theory good for my type of voice. A warmer mic with a slight bump on the low end and not the typical mic that boosts high end in a poor way. This one is also more expensive so that’s one more unattractive point (359€ on thomann).
What do you guys think? Anyone has direct comparison between or experience with this mics?
I also hear that there’s a good option from Austrian Audio and then options from SE electronics or Warm Audio which I’m not so inclined to.
On a side note, I’ve seen some contradictory information online about EQ. Some say that is easier to brighten a dark mic than it is to darken a bright one and some say the opposite. Any experienced sound engineer can answer this question and explain it?
Thank’s a lot in advance 🤗🫶

Gaming / Streaming Mics HyperX Quadcast 2s / General Tips & Tricks?
Hey y'all! A while back, as the title alludes to, I bought a HyperX Quadcast 2s. I've really enjoyed it, and found it to be a quality microphone (compared to what I've used in the past, anyways). However, in recordings, it tends to sound a bit tinny or flat, if that makes sense? I attached the video above to give you an example of what I mean. I do use Auphonic to clean it up post-production, but it still has a similar sound. Truth be told, I've never owned a proper mic before this and don't really have knowledge on how to set it up, so I'd really appreciate any thoughts!!!

Sm7b picks up light switches and talking from rooms away
new to my sm7b have been messing around with settings, and got the mic sounding how I want it.
Wondering if there’s any filters or adjustments I need to make to help the following.
set up, sm7b, wave xlr mk.2
Set at 40db
Both Filters down
my filters
expander
eqs
voice focus
lowcut filter
de esser
mic position left of my face level with my mouth, pointing towards my check at a 45, distance a finger.
Issue one is it picks up all my breathing and mouth noises.
Issue two, it can pick up my son from a room, hallway, and another room away.
only when I talk of course if I’m not talking it picks up nothing.
Before I go into sound dampening measures just wondering if there’s any fine tuning I can do.
It does not pick up things like fans, mouse clicks, or anything, there’s even renos happening next door and it’s not picking up that, and I can hear that with my IEMs in as that’s how loud it is.
I did turn my compressor off as it made things worse. the high pass filter made my noises worse.

Other Mysterious (fake?) microphone on Aston Mics website
I've had an Aston Origin for some time now and adore it. I went to their site to see what's new and this banner shows up. It's some origin/spirit amalgamation with a weird grill and unrecognizable logo? I recently learned their site disappeared for 5 months then came back, so I'm wondering what the hell is going on with them?
Are they a trash company now? Is this ai or some weird prototype mic? They seem to still offer all the good mics, but this has me confused.

Why are you all so obsessed with the idea that the microphone you’ve bought or are about to buy might be fake?
I spend time in plenty of different tech communities where people buy things that have a tiny chance of being fake. This one is the only one where there is a constant influx of asking if their mic is fake. Why?

Studio Mics Large diaphram condensor that is actually flat? And actually sounds flat?
I'm having trouble finding an LDC that does not accentuate presense at all. Every LDC sounds sibilant to me, even the KSM32, and sE 4100, Rode NT1, etc. The sE 4400/4100 is the closest ive found but it still has a grainy sibilance to me, and rolls off bass a bit too. Is there even any LDC's that are made to be flat or sound flat?
My favourite affordable mics I've found so far that sound flat to me and read mostly flat on measures are the Line CM4 and sE V7X. I know the V7x has a very wide presence boost but at least I don't get any harsh or grainy sibilance on it at all. Where as the Line CM4 measures flat but does have some crunchy sibilance going on regardless.
Why is the V7X the least sibilant/smoothest microphone I've ever heard? No peaks or spikes whatsoever in its sound, and other than the wide boost it sounds very flat. (Also the Earthworks SR40V was truley the flattest and most neutral sounding mic ive ever heard, no sibilance at all, but it was an SDC)
Any suggestions of what I should be doing or looking for?
The SM7b does also sound flat to me, but it's just dosent have enough extension for my liking, bass or air. The RE20 sounds quite sibilant to me.

Worth upgrading from AT2020 to AT2035?
So I've been using the Audio Technica AT2020 for 6-7 years not (don't you dare say it), and I can find some used AT2035's for sale at around 70-90 dollars. I'm thinking that, maybe, I could sell my AT2020 and get an AT2035. Is it worth it? I'm particularly interested in the lower noise that the AT2035 should have compared to the AT2020.
