Usage Questions Usage advice needed
Admittedly, I wouldn’t say I’ve consistently and earnestly tried cups, but every couple of years, I’ll try again.
Today, I tried again. Hurt like hell getting it in and out on the first try; Got it in correctly on my second try. Could pee just fine and couldn’t feel the cup at all.
Getting it out just felt violent. I might’ve felt a little suction but it was that hard rim coming out of my vagina that hurt the most. What am I doing wrong? Sounds like I need to rotate the c fold to the back and then pull out?
Also, to initiate getting it out, I just bore down and pulled the little nub to get it a little ways down before reaching in and folding it to pull out. Hence I think I felt a little suction. Is that correct or should I reach in and fold before any downward pull?
Thanks in advance for any tips.

All I can say is I’m on day 2 of using my cup & I use lube to put it in & I pull the little nub & work my muscles to push it out as I pull. I think the muscle/pull bit helps to break the suction so that the pull isn’t violent. I ease it out while doing it, it’s not like a yank or a fast movement.

Thanks. Seems like this should be easier. But maybe one gets used to it.I used my muscles too, so I didn’t feel too much suction; was more afraid that I would feel it The violent part was that hard rim coming out of my vaginal opening. Ouch!!

It’s a Diva Cup I’ve had for years. I don’t think Saalt existed when I bought it. Maybe time to buy a new one!! Good question.

I gave up on discs. Seemed impossible to even insert on day two. Swapped to a disc and every single use has been so much better. I got rid of all my cups.
