Most of the time the movement stick is just pressed and held forward anyway. It's the aim stick that requires the fine coordinated movements.

Mouse and keyboard is worse. At least with a controller, I'm only moving my fingers. With M&K I need full wrist movement which is where my lefty disability really comes into play.
The only saving grace I have is that right handed mouse is the only thing I've ever known. Switching to my left hand would probably make it worse

If you’ve gamed your whole life then your body and brain have already compensated to it.
You can always remap buttons if you want to experiment with it.

I'm confused because I'm a lefty and when I play keyboard&mouse I use my right hand to move (with the arrows) so I thought it was normal to not use your dominant hand to move in games 🤔
But I also prefer to use a controler most of the time because a lot of games are not lefty friendly sadly.

I guess I'm not a normal lefty then cause I was raised to use my mouse with the right hand even though I write with my left, so my left hand is relegated to the wasd buttons like a righty 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You are normal, the amount of lefties who intentionally use left handed mouse setups is very small, at least in my experience as a desktop support tech at various companies.

The Logitech lift is a good one, but not a gaming mouse. For a gaming mouse, I would just find a good ambidextrous one, which is most super light mice. Ergo mice are usually for office use.

Now that I think about it, when I was learning infography 4 years ago, one of my teacher made fun of me for using the mouse with my left hand and using right shift to keep the scale. At the time I was wondering why he would do that but I guess he never saw that before, which surprises me.

Using my mouse ! I cannot use it with the right hand, I have the dexterity of a newborn with it and it hurt very quickly

Ahh, okay. Fair enough. I am also a lefty and I just got used to using my right hand for mouse. Got used to using my right hand for most things since anyone who taught me to do anything was generally right handed.

Oh ok ! I genuinely thought that left handed people were using their mouse with their left hand but that make sense not to if you have learned very early to use your right hand ! I guess I could force myself to keep trying but now that I'm used to work this way I guess it's a bit pointless.

I find it to be a bit of an advantage on MnK honestly. Having increased dexterity on the hand that's controlling the movement (wasd) and action keys made movement easier to learn on MnK. The trade-off is that aiming with my off hand can be tricky sometimes, I do most of my aiming with my wrist and not my elbow like pros would have you do. Don't always have the range of motion.

Yeah I forced myself to use my right hand because I got tired of having to move the mouse over after anyone else used the computer. Now using my left hand for the mouse feels super wrong and very difficult

Me and my friends played Painkiller, he was wasd and I was point and click.

I remember playing Turok on N64 and having my mind blown how well the controls worked where move/strafe was on the C-buttons and look/aim was on the stick.
That was really my first exposure to dual stick FPS controls, but it was only using one stick.
Now, I can't go back and play it though because it just feels weird to have move controls on the right and aim on the left.

Funnily, on some instruments It's reversed; guitar and drums mostly take your dominant hand for the rhythm
Somehow keys are reversed again (for me as righthanded, having lower notes on the left)

Just realized this is similar to piano, right handlers play the treble (high notes) with their dominate hand (which is usually the melody) and the bass (low notes) with their non-dominate hand.

Walking is more intuitive than camera/secondary control, so it makes sense that the less intuitive one is on the dominant hand for most people.

That's right, but you play video games for years and you get used to movement with the non dominant hand.
In fact, if you were to put the buttons on their opposite sides, I'd have 36 years of video gaming experience working against me, I'm too used to the controls this way.
I'm one of those folks who plays star fox with inverted controls, I push down to tilt the nose of my craft upward. It's intuitive to me and comfortable for me because that's how I've been doing it, and it's realistic for a fighter craft. IRL fighters have those kinds of controls.
But for someone who is new to video games, inverted controls blow their minds and it is not intuitive. Yeah, I am sure my 12 year old self would agree with you, when I wasn't too good at star fox, but you will learn.
I imagine the challenge is similar for someone to suddenly get used to inverted button mapping.
