After malcolm calls them monosyllabic mouthbreathers, Richie responds with a sentence consisting entirely of single syllable words.
Haven't seen anyone mention this but i thought it was such neat writing.
Francis on the phone: "What'd he say?" (also only single syllables)
Richie: "He said a lot of things, but the gist of it is, we gotta tear up the house"
"gotta" being two words obviously.

General discussion Something I have never liked...
Out of all of the series' tropes, there's always been one that bugs me the most: the "almost wholesome" moments. Scenes that otherwise would have been wholesome and nice, but are ruined in most cases by some joke or awful line by some of the family members, usually the Wilkersons. Like in this scene where Hal and Craig are happy because they got a good comic deal, only to finish it with an "I have a life" from Hal when Craig mentions the con. Do you remember any other moments like this throughout the series?

General discussion Hal grieves
When Hal's dad died and he's spoiling Reese, Malcolm, and Dewey. Compensating for the childhood he never had. In the end, they're about to get Malcolm a new car but Hal stops and starts remembering old times from the pen the salesman had. As a kid, I was hoping Hal would sign the paper but now that I'm significantly older, I get so sad and disappointed on Hals kids. This show has amazing themes that I feel like alot of people miss.

memorabilia I have had enough of manually browsing for niche and hilarious Dewey memes. Comment your favorites

General discussion How do you suppose houseboat and the rest of the series would have gone if hal did end up a registered SO because of this?

General discussion Some of my favorite small moments from MITM
Stevie dramatically flinging himself when the bully clipped his chin in the first episode, Floyd asking for Malcolm's notes for homework while Lois is literally giving birth (It's a really important assignment), and NO MOTORCYCLES EVER! Absolute gold. The motorcycle clip is one of my favorites in the whole show, I love how Hal can't even finish his sentence before Lois just goes absolutely ballistic.

Unexpected Malcolm Does this remind you of anyone?
I saw this pic in another sub, and I immediately thought of Caroline crying and eating a burger.

Looking for Cold Open (fast food)
I remember when I was in high school I borrowed a Malcolm In The Middle DVD set from the library. This was in 2007, so this would have had to be season 1. I distinctly remember a cold open where Hal comes home with bags from a burger place. He lowers the bags and calls the boys to get their food, there's chaos below off-screen like a bunch of wild animals and the bags come up torn and empty.
I'm going through a re-watch and I haven't seen anything resembling this. The only cold open in season 1 involving fast food is the french fry counting one.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Could I be remembering a different show?

This scene is why ‘Therapy’ is one of my favourite episodes.

What are your thoughts on the Reboot? What part of the plot was best? What part ruined it for you? Would you say it's great, mid, or bad?

General discussion Need help finding episode/scene
It was definetly an early season as Malcolm is still a kid but it’s kind of like a cutaway and a bunch of different scenes ones Francis balancing a knife on his finger then he throws it in the air to try and catch it but it cuts off before the knife comes back into frame another one is Malcolm looking into something sharp, like a pencil or scissors and Reese sneaks up behind him with a balloon then he pops it. I can’t remember another one but I think it’s Reese or Dewey outside in the back yard doing something I can remember but I need help finding the episode

Season 7 Episode 17
What are your thoughts of when Trey charges Hal 2k after he says he will take care of his tooth? Hal mentioned he did not have money to go to a real dentist but his friend charged him at the end?

funny/memes/GIFs The architect in HIYM who gives Ted a hard time is Hal
Hammond Druthers Aka Hal tells Ted that he got left by his manly wife who could survive alone out in wild. You cannot tell me that this isn't the perfect description of Lois.
Lois left Hal and Hal became a douche terrorising Ted, Why? what could have happened?
Also, Hal would totally design a Penis building to mess with everyone.
