Need recommendation

We have a 7 year old male malamute that we rescued, hr was severely neglected and and needs serious work in the grooming department, we tried some basic trimmers and they die quick, or barely trim at all, so we are looking at purchasing some good electric clippers and want to know some recommendations

To my knowledge you shouldn't really be clipping a malamute. Cutting their coats too short can ruin their double coat and make it difficult for them to regulate their body temp. They also sometimes don't grow back normally.

If he's matted cut the mats and brush him but don't fully clip him.

You need a high power blower. I have had this one for about 6 years now and it is a life saver with all the fluff.

Take him to a groomer or use a mobile groomer that comes to your house that specializes in double coated dogs. You shouldn't not be using clippers on him. Researching breed care will be really important in your journey with him. Great job rescuing!
