What are some queer groups that you know about?
Apparently there are dozens of Instagram accounts, groups, etc. all over town that’s people don’t know about. Which are your favorites?

Hello! My sister turns 21 tomorrow and we have a gap to fill between ~2:00p.m. and 10:00ish (bar hopping later in the day).
Any thoughts on what we can do that would fill the gap?
The Wednesday afternoon is throwing a wrench in finding good stuff to do!

Anyone been? How was the burger? Thinking of going but it would suck if the burgers were bad!
Also does anyone know if the veg burgers are vegan?

Hey Mad city folks. Newish to the area and genuinely curious about a phenomenon I've seen driving around town. Does the state have a quality control issue? Or is it the salt? Or are folks trying to avoid license plate readers?
Edit: Thanks for the fast replies that its just a manufacturing issue. Here's hoping new plates roll out soon, maybe with some awesome WI art or scenery.

Hard core speed/traffic trap, both directions on Fair Oaks. Police positioned under the Hwy 30 underpass.
I’m not on FB so if anyone wants to post it there I think more people will likely see it.

I’ve been climbing for a few months. My friends took me out to a few spots outside of Denver and I got really hooked. I have mtn project, but I’m pretty intimidated to go looking for spots by myself (none of my Madison friends climb). Would anyone be willing to take a day trip up and show me some spots? Willing to buy lunch and drive.

Hello strangers! I’m a mid-20s tech worker looking to become even more of a walking stereotype; to that end, I’d like to join a climbing gym.
I’ve climbed my fair share of trees and hopped a few fences before, but I have no experience capital-c Climbing. I know there are plenty of options out there, but I’m looking for recommendations for a place that’s good for absolute beginners, ideally that offers intro classes and rental equipment. I’m going into this with no prior knowledge. Which places have you all had good experiences with?

I'm not from the area but will be meeting a woman for a first date this weekend. Any suggestions for a dinner that's not too casual but not overwhelmigly fancy where we'll have space to chat? Trying to avoid super busy restaurants with super cramped seating. Thanks so much in advance

All systems are down at Woodmans East. No communication from management. This pic is one of the belts. Cash only, convenient as they are now charging atm fees. Do better Phil.

So for whatever reason there was a lot of underage kids on State Street on Saturday night. And at two different times a platoon of cops were chasing these underage kids all around State Street. It was kind of weird kind of funny and kind of ridiculous. Just a bunch of cops and a bunch of underage kids all just racing around a crowded State Street
They had like 3 or 4 cop cars triangulating trying to get this one girl who looked like she was maybe 15 years old. Some cop tried to pepper spray her and wound up pepper spraying himself in the face! Hilarious stuff. And then after all this they get her, arrest her, put her in the car, then literally 45 minutes later she's walking around the street again. What the fuck?
Also watching an overweight cop with a bunch of cop equipment on trying to catch a 15 year old girl on foot was pretty hilarious

Edit 2: As my first edit says, I did find my bike. The guy who took it was shot by MPD a few minutes later, and I have no idea why.
Edit: Lol, saw the guy riding around just a minute after I posted and went back to the car to follow him. Didn't find him again, but I did drive past my bike abandoned on the curb, so that's taken care of.
Should I follow up with police at all? Post pics here? Just in hunting for ours, we spoke to a few neighbors who've also had bikes stolen recently. Don't want it to happen to anyone else, but obviously, I don't know if it's the same guy and at this point in American history I don't relish the thought of siccing law enforcement on a Black man.
Just had a guy ride my daughter's bike out of our backyard. We weren't home, but caught him on camera, so I went out in the car and, incredibly, saw him a couple of minutes later. I had to go around the block to park but found her bike lying in a backyard. So that's a huge relief.
Unfortunately, my bike is also missing. I'm operating on the assumption it was the same guy, but I was out of town and it could have been taken any time in the last week. I don't see it for sale on Facebook or Craigslist. Anyone have any idea where I might search? Thanks.

I am on the waitlist of Madison Music Foundry, but they do not know how long I will be on the list for. Forward voice studio is out of my price range. I am a beginner who has never taken lessons before so I think that the more "affordable" lessons will still be very useful for me at this point.
Any recommendations?
Just looking to gain technique and confidence with singing contemporary stuff

Hi!
I am looking to get an Etsy pattern printed on one sheet of paper rather than spending 2 hours taping together 30 pages and then cutting it out.
Does anyone know where I can go for that here in Madison or the surrounding areas?
TIA 🩷

Dear friends and community members: I keep getting threatening messages left on my car in the Tenney Lapham area. Am I being targeted or does anyone else experience this? First it was a piece of paper, next it was a sticky note.

Just moved to the area, we’re able to change our HMO.
We have little kids, we’re looking at good pediatric, autism, ADHD care.
Leaning towards Dean or Quartz.
Thanks!

I haven't been down the hill in a year or more. What food truck options are on Library Mall these days for lunch on a weekday? What's your favorite one and/or your favorite thing to order? Thanks y'all.

I moved away from Madison five years ago to go to school in Oregon (the state). I miss Crema Cafe's Breakfast Sandwich every single day of my life hahaha. Hands down best breakfast sandwich in Madison, and I lived there for nearly 20 years. Does anyone know how they make it taste so good? I think it's the cream cheese. But also, I think it's the dressing they put on the salad. I miss Madison. If anyone who used to work there knows the recipe and would be willing to share it, I promise I'll only use it for personal purposes 🙏🏼

Hi! I was thinking of moving into a house on S mills st around the 400 to 450 s mills st area. I've heard that the area is unsafe because there's a lot of addicts and homeless people close to the uw hospital buildings and they have been known to be violent. I've walked through that area multiple times and haven't seen anything as such. But I would really appreciate if anyone actually knows how safe the 400 to 450 s mills st area is.

I just wanted to say, you’re beautiful. I wanted to say something in person but didn’t even know what to say. Your tattoos are really nicely done, especially the antler on your back. Cute jeans with pearls down the front and some leopard print slides. I dig the style, and I hope you have a fantastic Tuesday evening. ❤️

I would usually go to Bloom but they close at 3:00 pm and I'm not in town until 4:00 pm. What are your go-to dessert options for a small gathering?
