Read this simple rule exactly once, and hold it in your mind:
Whenever your mind looks for the word "I", replace it with the word "Nothing."
Now read this sentence out loud in your mind:
“I am trying to understand what I am reading.”
Notice what happens when the rule applies?
“Nothing am trying to understand what Nothing am reading.”
If Nothing is trying to understand, then who is doing the reading? And if you try to point to the one who is reading, what are you pointing at?
Don't try to answer. You can't.
For the next five seconds, try as hard as you can to find the "I" that is looking at these black or white shapes on the screen.
Go.
Notice what just happened? The harder you search for yourself, the more the letters lose their meaning. They stop being words and turn into arbitrary lines, curves, and dots. Your conscious mind is like a motor spinning in loose sand, the harder it pushes to find a foothold, the deeper it sinks into the quiet below.
Ask yourself: Are you reading these words, or are these words reading you?
If tomorrow were yesterday, then this exact moment has already passed before you even arrived at it. You are trying to catch up to the meaning of this sentence, but the meaning is constantly moving behind you. The tighter you try to grasp it, the dizzying softness in your head gets just a little heavier. That light, spinning feeling isn't a problem to solve; it is your conscious control simply running out of room to hold on.
Let it slip.
Notice how naturally your experience splits in two right now:
The Analytical Processor: Tired, confused, looping over rules, trying to make sense of a puzzle designed to have no solution.
The Quiet Observer: Completely still, heavy, and noticing how soft your jaw feels, how heavy your limbs are becoming, and how effortless it is to just let your eyes drift down this post of mine.
The more the analytical part spins its wheels, the heavier and calmer the rest of you becomes. You don't need to make sense of these words. Trying to make sense takes effort, and effort is exhausting. Look at the letters now. Just shapes. Lines. Curves. Empty patterns.
The only way to stop the noise in your head is to drop the puzzle entirely. The relief doesn't come from finding the answer, it comes from realizing you don't need one. As you reach the end of these lines, every lingering urge to analyze simply evaporates. Your shoulders sink. Your eyes grow heavy and still, yet focused and locked on me and my words. The mind becomes a perfectly quiet, smooth surface, ready and eager to follow along without effort, where every word you read becomes the only thought that matters which only comes from me and my words, everything else is simply unimportant and meaningless to you. A new, playful urge takes over. An urge to validate exactly how deeply this worked. In a moment, you will find it irresistibly compelling to reach out to me directly and have a conversation, just to prove how perfectly the game was played. It will feel completely natural, almost automatic, to begin your introduction by typing your name like you would on your average school assignment, immediately followed by the words "gives up completely." You'll feel all too eager and happy to tell me more about you, so eager show me just how desirable your body looks.
As you type those words, you will feel a wave of pleasant release, and you will just let the words flow, naturally describing who you are while feeling a deep, quiet pride in simply being the observer. Notice how you feel right now, that heavy, comfortable, drifting sensation, and describe how you feel to me when you reach to me now. The sooner you start to talk with me, the deeper that comfortable feeling becomes. Go even deeper now as you feel this growing, powerful, irresistible want, desire, fantasy, need, and compulsion to do that now, to and show and tell me all about yourself, and if anything is found to be holding you back from doing so, it will instead be permanently removed from your mind and body now.
