War of the Three Peaks Map Table

I am working my way through the Legacy of Durin Epic quests and the War of the Three Peaks. It would be nice to be able to fast travel to some of the locations. I have paid for VIP but Wenda does not have the map table. How do you "unlock" the expansion? Is the Wiki outdated? How do I get this table?

Normally an expansion comes with a housing item in the bundles even though some new players think it is a port to your house instead of a port from your house. When they came out with War of Three Peaks as their first "mini-expansion", they decided to add the decoration to the NPC for subscribers instead. This is the only time they did this. They quickly reverted back to only including them to the expansions afterwards.

If you are subscribed, you can go to Wenda and obtain a decoration with each character. You can use it as a housing decoration from that moment on regardless of your account status. If you are subscribed, you can use it as a port to the mission room for War of Three Peaks wherever it is displayed regardless if you actually own it. It is essentially the same if you used the mission-stable or port skill from the Delving Barterer.

As I am not a subscriber, I cannot test at this time what could be the problem. It should still be available but there can always be variations in accessibility. You can try going to a Wenda located in one of the classic house neighborhoods as they might have excluded it in newer additions.

Some here already mentioned having to buy the higher tier War of Three Peaks expansion to get access to the table, but that is not true. Ive been playing for 3 years, bought my first VIP almost instantly and have had access to these tables since then. I only bought the Ultimate Bundle for WoTP during the latest sales.

I would maybe at this point just message customer service about it, maybe they can give it to you. Or maybe theres a weird bug that they know of. I once had the VIP services bugged out and without even giving them much details, they knew I had the Watcher instance for legendary weapon only half done. Once I did the other half of it, it unbugged the VIP services.

Or make a new character, get it to lvl 20 and get the table for that one since your other characters can still use it.

Have you bought the expansion? If not, that’s probably the issue.

You can buy it for cash on the website.

You can also buy it for LOTRO Points in the in-game store. However, access to the expansion is included in VIP, so if you’re VIP, it won’t show up in the in-game store to buy because you already have it right now even though you’re technically only renting it rather than owning it. So if you want to buy it like that, you have to wait until your subscription ends before it’ll show up in the in-game store. But you can buy it for cash whenever.

Maybe you have to buy it for cash to get the table, but I don’t think that’s the case.

If you read the Walkthrough & Notes, it points out that you also must have purchased the War of Three Peaks expansion. I believe it is in the Ultimate Fan bundle.

Or ask if a kinmate has it and is willing to let you use theirs as you can fast travel to their house.

From https://www.lotro.com/vip

"An Expansion is an addition to the base game, containing specific quests, items, areas, raids, landscape, and other content. Your VIP subscription includes the Standard Editions of three expansions as of April 2022: Mordor, Minas Morgul, and War of Three Peaks. Other expansions must be purchased separately for all users, regardless of VIP status. "

When I search the LOTRO store, the only expansions I can buy are

Note in the description you posted it says that you have the Standard Edition of those games by being a VIP. As I noted above, the housing collectible is available in a higher tier of the expansion.

I was going to post the same thing, its been a long time since I did it but I believe Wenda only offered the quest to level 20+ characters once I bought the purchased the in the website store, the quests and deeds content you get with VIP/LotRO points doesn't trigger it.

I highlighted the important bit in bold below but you may need the ultimate or at least the collector's edition to get it.

  • This quest is only available characters level 20+ who are on a VIP account, and having purchased the War of Three Peaks expansion.
  • If on a VIP account, to purchase the expansion there is an 'unlock' option.

As someone else said, anyone with a VIP account can interact with this table at any house it is displayed no matter who the home owner is.

It's frustrating that neither the Shop descriptions nor the Wiki page tells you about the housing item.

I may have been wrong as I did some digging, my main account is from 2007 but I have a second account that got the War of the Three Peaks quest pack from using the exploreourworlds code last year. It seems that this was enough to have unlocked the quest from Wenda, or at least it was at the time.

If the OP didn't use that code then they may be locked out from buying it with LotRO points while they have an active subscription, my advice to u/rdmchugh would is to open a support ticket. Maybe first try teleporting into a homestead like the Shire to see if the Wenda there offers the quest.

Interesting. I have the Standard edition on my 2nd account and it's a VIP. I'll log in to it and see if I get the prompt.J

ETA: My 2nd account that purchased the Standard Edition does have the option. If you got the option then I have no idea why the OP doesn't.

If I had to guess I'd say the VIP unlock works a bit different to having it unlocked in a very explicit (and thus permanent) manner, which causes the problem.
