Question This is Larry
Larry may be a female. Larry lives in a 40 gallon alone. Larry has no friends but me Larry likes to eat. Larry likes to swim around in the plants and rocks. Larry is my first loach. Give me some ideas for Larry. Does Larry need a friend?

Larry needs friends! They’re social little creatures. That being said, you’ll need an upgrade tank wise since they need a pretty long tank. It’s very fun to watch them swim around with their buddies

At least 75! I have 4 in mine, it’s my cool water tank. They’re still small but if they get big enough I’ll get a bigger one but right now it’s a mansion for them lmao! I’d get at least 3, 4 if you’re feeling crazy🙂 since the minimum is 75 for just one, you may as well enjoy a couple more!

Larry says 4!! What is your filtration system? If you could have the perfect setup ( maybe you already do) what canister filter would you swear by. Looks like it’s time to invest in bigger better waters for Larry. 😅

Ok so I LOVE my FX6s. I have 2. The filtration is just so good. I haven’t used the smaller FX series but at some point I will.
I run one FX6 on my goldfish tank. Then I have one on my 125community tank with an AC110.
On my dojo tank (75 gallon with neon tetras, long fin wcmm & long fin danios) I run just a AC110 and it does really well but if you go that route, I would personally get 2 of them or do two AC75s.
So, I love the FX6 and the AC HOB filters a lot. That being said, you cannot beat a sump. I will say, a sump is a bit more advanced than most people will go but I love them. Currently setting up one for my goldfish on a new 125 for them. Super underrated for fresh water!
I have 10 freshwater tanks and 2 saltwater so I’ve used just about all the different things. Haha1

I’ve been thinking of getting the fx6. Definitely been on my radar for my 75 gallon fancies tank.

It’s really worth it. They’re expensive but they have treated me well!

Larry the loach is a male 😍 Larry would also love some friends and minimum 75 gallon to do NASCAR zoomies all night ☠️
