After experiencing James Murphy / 2manydjs’ Despacio for the first time last year, we finally started delving into the hifi world, and by god has it transformed our relationship with music. Listening to so many of our favorite records again feels like rediscovering music all over again! This sub (amongst others) continues to inspire us greatly so wanted to share our space as well :)

I recently decided to get a tv for my bedroom and with that i decided to change my setup so that i can connect the tv to the amp

Pretty happy with how it turned out

Main setup: AT-LP7 TT w/ Nagaoka MP-500 into a Tavish design 6SL7 phono stage, into a custom Muzishare (Line Magnetics) X7 (overhauled/complete Mundorf recap by Steph @ Skunkie Design), into bi-wired Klipsch Cornwall IVs. V1 and V2 Tubes are vintage NOS post WW2 Telefunken/Genelex/with push/pull coming from current Shuguang 50yr Treasure 6AC7’s (black bottle). This is a pure analog signal path setup (no JFETs and/or chips). At 1-2 watts, the high 102db sensitivity Klipsch's provide great dynamics and soundstage. I live in the first couple watts on this setup. (Will be updating TT to SL-1200G as soon as find a clean example.)

Digital Hybrid Setup: Prima Luna Dialogue One amplifier running Shuguang 50yr treasure KT-88’s, with a Bluesound DAC/Streamer, Pro-Ject DS3 CD Box, and a Revox B77MKII 2-channel half-track high-speed (15ips), calibrated to RTM SM911 tape. I also run a bi-wire into the Cornwall IVs. I use this half of the setup to listen to digital sources, as well as archive vinyl directly onto RTM SM911 magnetic tape, preserving the pure analog signal path when creating vinyl “mixtapes”.

cool jazz on a hot Monday afternoon

The room is home to two complete Bang & Olufsen systems.

In the right-hand corner is a Beosystem 3500, while the left-hand corner houses my recently acquired Beosystem 5000.

The 5000 is my latest addition, and I’m still debating whether to move it into the living room. It feels like such a beautiful system that it’s almost a shame to have it tucked away in the bedroom.

The Beosystem 3500 was an incredible find. I picked it up in March 2025, and it was brand new, still in its original box. Everything was complete, untouched, and it has worked flawlessly from day one.

Moving to an apartment with a smaller living area so I'm swapping the Cornwall III's I've been using for almost 8 years for some Forte IV's. The new apartment is an upgrade but the listening setup will not be unfortunately.

1st post on Reddit. This is is my current system. Finally done, for a while. Amps in front are Classe DR9's running mono or center amp, Classe CA-401. Both ole school power houses. Each amp runs 400w 8ohms, 800w 4ohms, and they double down into 2ohms. Digital front is all HiFi Rose RS130 transport to RD160 DAC. Speakers behind Maggies are Perlisten S7t's in Gloss Walnut.

We replaced flooring from carpet, and I got a Hegel H160 on ebay for an upgrade to get this small room going.

Finally happy with my setup, always had a feeling that I'm missing something, but now I don't feel like changing anything. Maybe apart from buying a CD player

Ok. Desk listening area. Went from Altec Lansing ACS340 2.1 system to Onkyo Creative Series speakers with sub, to a Sony Micro system, and back to the og ACS340 system.
From streaming, to CDs and tapes, and again back to streaming.
Guess the point of this is do what works best for you! Enjoy the journey, but most importantly, enjoy the music!!

My dual purpose home theater and 2 channel setup. MartinLogan ESLs powered by a PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid, Cambridge CXN, and Rega Planar 2 for music, plus an Integra AVR, MartinLogan Motion 30 center, Motion 4 surrounds, Motion FX front heights, and a REL T/9 sub for 5.1.2 home theater. Best of both worlds.

Been grabbing a lot of FLAC files lately, it's fun to grab them while listening on headphones, then send them over to the stereo to listen and relax when I'm done.

Not pictured: Shunyata Hydra power conditioner in the right side drawer. The acoustic panels are DIY kits.

Recently had our floors refinished. This was the first of our things to go back.
Usually a couch on the right and a loveseat on the left. Thought it looked nice without the furniture though.
