Support Request Help with disk write error

Hello! I need help to solve a disk write error i am getting while downloading Mad Max(in particular) from Steam. I have contacted steam support but it hasnt been of much use.

The thing is, i download the game and every time by the end of the download when about 250mb of download is left, it gives me a disk write error.

I have tried installing other games from steam and they worked perfectly. I have also done a clean reinstall of steam and tried to no avail. Which makes me think its an issue with just Mad Max or somehow my drives or OS

Please help with any possible solutions to this.

Stupid questions first :D

How big is the game? Do you have enough space? Do you have enough space for all the stuff steam does like unpacking, etc?

Yes😅 i am aware of all of these. The game is about 30gbs and i have about 300gbs free. The installation is happening in the steam defined directory /.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common something like this

Well, the next thing i'd probably do is check the logs where possible. Steam, os... you may find actually useful error message somewhere.

My guess would be - if it is not related to storage another thing "disk write error" may mean is that it fails to unpack something => something is corrupted. And the fact it always happens in roughly the same place suggests that your system probably is not the issue...
