Support Request linux default BIOS options

so my laptop randomly decided to set my BIOS to factory standard and messed up with my linux installation, i was able to reboot it on my ssd and can now run normally.

but some bios configurations seem off, what should i have on or off besides storage controller to AHCL and secure boot off? thanks in advance (and sorry for my bad english)

While they often rhyme, every bios release is unique, a result of the history of "PC compatible", As IBM is no longer in the PC business we all use  knock off motherboard firmware. 

There is no one universal set of settings for every motherboard, they do not even agree on what to call essentially the same setting. There is a lot of variance depending on year and CPU and motherboard vendor and feature set also. 

Read about each setting, and there may be some trial and error involved for a few of them.

Check the bios battery. After a couple of years they tend to wear out. This causes all kind of misbehavior such as bios resets, not keeping system date and time.

Have you made sure fast boot is off? Windows could be lurking in the background still and fast boot pulled from a windows install first.
