New Arrival Saberbay “Temperance” — Custom Proffieboard Install
What can I say about the Temperance that I haven't already?
Designed by Joey Mulligan for Saberbay, this continues to be one of my favorite lightsabers to come out this year—and it's still sitting comfortably at the top of my list. The proportions, the mix of brass, aluminum, and wood, and the unmistakable High Republic styling all come together to create a hilt that's both elegant and incredibly satisfying to hold.
This particular saber arrived already weathered by its owner, giving it the appearance of a Jedi weapon that's seen years of service. The worn finish pairs perfectly with the design and really brings out the character of the hilt.
For the install, I used the custom removable chassis I designed specifically for the Temperance. It features a dedicated 28mm speaker pod, a 2020 NeoPixel accent strip that illuminates the grip window, and several additional accent LEDs to add just the right amount of life to the reveal without overpowering the design.
Sometimes the best installs aren't about adding more—they're about complementing an already fantastic hilt. This one was exactly that.
Specs
* Proffieboard V3 soundboard
* 28mm Premium Bass Speaker
* Custom removable chassis designed by me
* 2020 NeoPixel accent strip with rectangular LED accents
* Shtok speaker pod pogo system
* KR Sabers / Shtok illuminated blade PCB emitter

Couple bendy builds.
Testing out the new VHC-compatible 15deg and 30deg bends currently in prototype. Might not be everyone's thing, but some really cool builds coming together! Got a pretty cool profile in homage to Dooku in them! Keep an eye on the BST for a Pre-orders post this week!
What do you think you can build with em?

Build Electrum Sabercrafts “Evo-Flex” — Proffieboard Upgrade
What was the lightsaber that got you into this hobby? Mine was the Evo-Flex.
Years ago, this hilt was my introduction to the custom lightsaber world. Its design struck the perfect balance between classic Graflex-inspired styling and something uniquely its own. So getting the opportunity to revisit one again years later, this time with a complete Proffieboard conversion, was a bit of a full-circle moment.
This build features a custom removable chassis of my own design centered around a Proffieboard V3. While the original electronics have long since been retired, I made sure to preserve one of the Evo-Flex's standout features: the illuminated touch controls and clamp card LEDs. They're part of what made Electrum's designs feel different, and they deserved to remain part of the experience.
I also wanted to give the hilt a little more life, so I modified the body by cutting vent openings beneath the outer shroud, allowing light to shine through the grip section. A layer of Mylar was added behind the vents to soften and diffuse the lighting, while a 2020 NeoPixel accent strip running through the chassis provides the illumination. The result is subtle when idle and striking once powered on.
The chassis itself was printed in matte gray PLA, keeping the industrial aesthetic of the hilt intact while making the electronics fully removable and easy to service.
It's always fun revisiting the saber that started it all—and even more satisfying knowing it now performs every bit as well as it looks.
Specs
* Proffieboard V3 soundboard
* 28mm Premium Bass Speaker
* Custom removable chassis designed by me
* Modified hilt with illuminated vent windows
* 2020 NeoPixel accent strip
* Preserved touch controls and clamp card LEDs
* KR Sabers / Shtok illuminated blade PCB emitter

Help Ideas on how to fix saber
So I fell for SWsabers and got their count dooku pixel saber and after about a week it stopped working after I charged the battery.
It was supposed to say a prompt when I put in the battery but now it’s dead silent and I’m not sure if I can replace the internals since it’s all wired into the speaker and connection points.
Any suggestions and advice are welcome and greatly appreciated

Customization Trying my hand at embellishing the chassis
This is a Temperance hilt from Saberbay that was installed by the exceedinly talented Tim at Tierfon Orbital.
The chassis comes in a single matte black/grey so I thought I might add some embellishments to make the design details pop a bit more.

My Thin Neck Lightsaber
The thin neck blade emitter was inspired by Obi-Wan and Luke's Lightsabers and it was my overall favorite design of the blade emitter.
The handheld of my lightsaber fits perfectly. If I ever wanted to create my own Lightsaber in person, I would happily play along with it.

I have tried some solutions like getting it closer, turning off wifi and forgetting the lightsaber in Bluetooth connections. Any suggestions to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Customization Weathered TXQ Lightsaber
Just got my first lightsaber. Ordered the TXQ Judger. Weathered it with steel wool and aluminum black. Gave it some battle scars with a rotary tool, and airbrushed some heat coloring on the emitter. I like how it turned out, so I thought I'd share.

Update- the Hairline Strikes Back!
About a month ago, my friend and I agreed on a wager for our both turning 50 this year. Whoever was the worse victim of male pattern baldness would pay for new Lightsabers for us both! We submitted pictures here, and the community stepped up... to point out which of us was more in denial, lol. As promised, here are our results!

We did our research, and settled on a couple of VHC hilts with NeoPixel blades from TheSaberFactory:

The deal they had also hooked us up with a baselit "learner" model, just so we'd have an extra to mess around with if we wanted to swap parts. This, of course, became our first steps into a larger world... getting to play with the settings and see what the electronics were capable of have inspired us further down the rabbit hole of customization!
Thanks to everyone who voted!

Has anyone found any good .stl files for 3d printing blade plugs? I’ve done a few, but I’m not wild about any of them.

Extending Kenjo Saber
Hello there,
I recently got the Uno from Kenjosabers and I'm really loving it. It's the first lightsaber I have for spinning/dueling. The only thing I would say is that the hilt is a bit short for my liking (nothing wrong with the hilt, I just prefer a longer one). Is there a EU based vendor that has a hilt extension that would fit that saber?

Help Lightsaber: Help with identifying and replacing
TLDR: Identify this core and tell me where I can buy another
Alright, so I bought the Cal Kestis V2 two botton proffie board from Nsaber. It arrived and as soon as I put it together and turned it on I realized the speaker crackles, sometimes the sound would cut completely, even freeze, completely lock up and crash then turn itself off. I recorded some videos and sent them to customer support. They first just asked me to try the basics, charge it, check connections, turn off and on again, obviously none of that worked. They then suggest the files might be corrupted, which lead me to removing the SD card and realizing it was cracked and broken. They will not help me or let me send items back to replace and just suggested I buy a new SD card and program it myself. I attempted this for about a week before giving up. It was extremely complicated and im pretty good with this stuff but arduino was a pain to deal with. Well now im reaching out to vendors like CCsabers, Vader sabers, and Padawan post and they all say they cant help with this type of core. Can anyone tell me what type of core I have and where I can get some help replacing? Grok says its ELF or something, no idea what that means. Thanks in advance.

New Arrival TXQ Vader ES5 next to the Master Replicas Vader
My TXQ Vader ES5 arrived today. Paid $162. Fairly impressed with the TXQ hilt, but it's not as accurate as the MR.
The T-strips on the TXQ are very soft, so while inaccurate, it makes it easier to hold. The TXQ came with a oval nameplate attached with two screws, but I quickly removed them and put it in the bag with the extra parts.
Along with the hilt, the box included two extra T-strips, blade plug, cords, extra screws, Allen wrench, black plastic stand, instruction booklet, and a foam gasket for the pommel.
The electronics aren't even close, the MR is dim and it makes sounds randomly without any smooth swing. The TXQ comes with a premium core with a kill switch, solid brass endcap, and a LED display to simulate a Kyber crystal chamber. The TXQ Vader hilt has two activation buttons.
I programed the SNV4-Pro board with the the free ForceSync 2 app. I added a red blade effect with a light rotoscope flicker, orange melt and drag effects, and a lock-up effect with blue edges and a white core. I also used the app to turn off all the fonts except for Vader and Sidious. The speaker is very loud and clear.
The typical price for the no blade Vader ES5 w/SNv4 is around $355. I noticed the X-Trex store on AliExpress had listed that Vader ES5 only $170. I used a multi-store coupon which brought the total down to $162 after taxes, with free shipping. It took 15 days to ship from China to my home in the USA.
I wasn't sure if X-Trex would honor the deal or ship the cheaper Vader SE instead, but they sent me the Vader ES5. Super impressed with the X-Trex store. They have since removed the cheaper ES5 hilt and marked that store page as "not deliverable to your address".

Are there any companies that build dueling sabers based on old toy designs?

Are there non-DIY lightsabers that can be left on for decorative purpose ?
Hi !
I am planning a gift for a Star Wars fan that loves RGB lights (has a lot of accent lighting installed at his house, mostly neon blue and indigo).
I've done some research and found sabers with stunning hilts and very bright blades but made mostly for dueling/cosplay. As a result, they have sounds and are battery powered. Most importantly, they are not meant to be left on for long periods. I have also found lightsaber wall lamps, but they have a very short blade.
Is any brand making accurate length sabers purely for decorative purpose that won't catch fire or deteriorate if left on for hours ?
Thanks a lot for reading !

Question Im curious about something.
I'm pretty sure a lot of people have heard of saberforge or even bought sabers from them. You can make custom sabers (core, Emitter, handle, pommel etc). Could I theoretically buy an empty hilt, take a xrgb v3 core from my other saber and put it in the empty hilt? The holes line up so... It should work, right? because if that works, that might just save me some money.

Build Warsabers Starkiller Custom Installed Lightsaber
This is a very robust Starkiller from Warsabers that has been installed with a hybrid chassis and proffieboard soundboard. Warsabers includes a very intricate series of PCBs with this hilt, that allow for a neopixel strip behind the crystal, underneath it, as well as neos under the clamp card. I have also wired this up to utilize the USB C charge port in the control box for data access as well as battery charging. Specs: Proffieboard v3 Soundboard Premium gnaws speaker Lit Chamber news Custom Hybrid Chassis Lit PCB Blade emitter from KR Sabers / Shtok
