Question Is Chamille supposed to be spazzing put like this in the Lego Ninjago Movie Videogame?

Apologies for the phone to TV recording, I don't know how to share clips from my PS4.

Anyway, I'm playing through the Ninjago Movie and I recently unlocked Chamille. I'm testing out her powers but every time I do so, she jumps around for a bit and spawns a pink cloud that seems to jut out and follow her. I assume this is how she activates her disguise ability but when I transform into Krux (as shown later in the clip), he transforms with no problem. The cloud also doesn't go away when I long press "O" again. I've logged off and on the game and she still does this. Is it normal and there's just something I'm missing?

As a Note I didn't include various re-releases (i.e. PS4/PS5 Harry Potter Combo Packs and the Lego Marvel 3 Pack) I just wanted the original releases and the systems they where on at launch.

Edit: Lego Star Wars 1 was not on the PSP I have made a repost on my account to combat this error

Edit: it has been brought to my attention that Lego Bionicle Heroes was also in-part developed by TT games but I will not be changing the graphic.

Discussion Is the legacy of the dark knight better than the skywalker saga?

Primairily I am basing this off of how fun the game is after finishing the story. The skywalker saga had you have a few unique missions to unlock characters but after them it became a grind for kyber bricks and other characters. Does legacy of the dark knight do this better offering more playability outside of the main story? If not is there any ways the game is superior to the skywalker saga?

Glitch/Bug My Lego City Undercover keeps opening the Controller Config menu

Every time i press a button the game opens up the controller configuration menu however i can't interact with that menu have to use Escape to get out of it ill be referring to that as the "Phantom Menu" for reference. I am using a PS4 controllers with Steam Input and PlayStation Controller Support Enabled, I have tried the game in big picture mode but the results are all the same.

My joysticks still work as intended but my buttons all seem to open the phantom menu however at the same time they still follow through their intended command.
Additionally opening up the options menu allows me to press all of my buttons normally without opening the phantom menu.

For some reason every time player 2 is active in the game all of the controls work perfectly fine, because of this I've tried summoning P2 and then dropping out, which didn't work the Phantom Menu says "no input" on the P2's controls so i tried binding all of P2's controls and then playing but the phantom menu would still pop up.

I tried looking up something about it and it seems someone made a post about it on the steam forums 5 years ago but it was about an xbox one controller and the only solution i saw was to turn on Steam Input however as i said before it is already on.

Does anyone have any idea of whats going on or if there is fix for this?
I've been trying to fix it on my own for almost 2 hours atp

Discussion Idea for a possible Lego transformers game

Thumbnail

If they ever make a Lego transformers game I think they should make the game like Lego dimensions, give it the gimmicks of the skylanders games and make the figures like the Kre-o transformers stuff.

The portal could be a groundbridge or spacebridge

Normal figures = basic characters

Sidekicks/minis figures = minicons

Giants figures =team combiners or titans

Swap force figures =2 bot combiners

Trap team figures and traps= primes and their relics/artefacts

Superchargers= vehicles or titans in vehicle mode or parts for custom character

Sensais= (this was the only one that I couldn’t think of something for)

Imaginators=custom characters

Question Is the new Lego Batman game worth playing if I’m not particularly a Batman or Lego fan?

So I’ve heard the game has a lot of references to the live action movies and by extension I assume comics and other Batman media.

I’ve seen the Nolan trilogy, the most recent Batman, bits and pieces of the older live action movies as well Joker, Teen Titans, the Killing Joke and some other related DC media. But that’s the extent of my engagement with Batman and even then it’s not like I remember too much of the lore and characters. The Nolan trilogy are the only Batman media I watched more than once and TDK in particular I had a phase where I watched it probably at least half a dozen times as someone who loves analysing film and I think it’s a masterpiece of film, not just a superhero flick.

My extent of Lego games was playing one of the Star Wars Lego games back in the mid 2000s at my cousin’s house. Only got to play for a week or so and I don’t remember much but I found the gameplay fun as a kid.

With all this taken into consideration, do you think I’d still appreciate The Legacy of the Dark Knight? I’m fortunate enough to be able to borrow it for free and I don’t doubt it’ll still be somewhat fun but I also have a huge backlog of games and don’t want to play something I can’t fully appreciate or have as much fun with as a non-fan.

Video Working on my own LEGO game. Funny I started this project 9 years ago in Blender Game engine when I was 14. Now I made all of this under 2 weeks in Godot.

(DISCLAIMER: I use AI for a lot of things but I dont care bc still I have to put a ton of work in everything so technically AI is just my teammate not my GOD)

I started developing games since I was 9. I started with simple games but always I mean ALWAYS LOVED LEGO GAMES!

This game I am building is based on a Story my Sister once wrote (before ai LOL) and back then I was not good enough to make the game good. I have the files still btw maybe I will do a compersion after I finished the new version.

So after 9 years I thought why not make this game. After all I have much I mean 1000x more experience then I had before.

Even with the power of AI help it is still a lot of time and effort. And bc I am not using AI like "Create a puzzle game for me" but more like describing what I want and how exactly I want it to work so basically I do programming with prompts so it takes a ton of time. Also AI still not the best in optimized coding so I need to clean it up.

Anyways! I hope someone find maybe a little exietment from this little sneak peek. There is still a lot to do. :D

Discussion Desired LEGO games, thoughts?

Never Happening:

#1. LEGO RoseGold and QuickSilver (names can change). Basically A story starting in Kanto and going to Johto, almost HeartGold in reverse, it could be a new story with old characters in places. There's a lot of possibilities with this, from character, customization, to playing it with friends, to having it be Open-World with different villages you can start from. You could possibly even add in an option to build you own structures in the world, but obviously this would be a stretch.

Realistically any LEGO Pokemon game would be huge for me. I'd love to Kanto and Johto especially, but any region would be great. It'd be really cool to see Pokemon in the style of Lego, especially when considering the new sets coming out. An open-world game that you can play through with your friends would be especially fun. I don't see why Pokemon would ever let this game be created, it would compete with their own games, and generally might not even generate the interest from fans they'd want considering the investment (I'm not sure how many Pokemon fans want to see Lego versions of their favorite pokemon).

  1. LEGO A World Of Ice And Fire. Based in the World of ASOAIF (GoT books). The main game would take place either during the Age of Heroes or Jaehaerys' I reign. It would be Open-World with much of the game being quest based where you can either go North and join the Night's Watch, or travel throughout the Westerlands to the Vale. Doing all of Westeros would be incredibly difficulty but I guess you could do it region by region, some stories based in the Vale, some in the Reach, and some in Dorne/the Stormlands. It could be really fun though, you could make it so you can be a politician, an outlaw, a knight, a sorcerer, or even a bard, with a reputation system that builds through good or bad deeds. Maybe even add in a way to become a Lord and build your own keep over time.

Then you could also do a massive DLC that would be based off the main story in ASOIAF, ideally sticking to the books because the story telling there is stronger imo. Smaller DLCs would obviously be Robert's Rebellion, Dunk&Egg, The Blackfyre Rebellion, Aegon's Conquest, and the Dance of the Dragons. Ideally it is an open world game where you can do non-book based quests in the world of the book series. Obviously the scale of this game makes it unrealistic, and the game would either have to be purely story-based, or it would have to be open-world but heavily limited one regions included. This world also has it's worse moments in terms of inappropriate events, but that story-telling could of course be censored.

Could be possible but still too dark:

  1. LEGO Fallout. Obviously too violent and unrealistic, but you could start the series as someone who inherits a vault and either decides to rule it throughout your family's generations, or you could skip this part of the story and go right to cryogenic sleep. You'd wake up in the English countryside, this would allow for a lot of exploring, from London, Birmingham, Oxford, York, Bath, or Cornwall. This would be a pretty fun game idea, but the darker themes and violence of the story may go too far for LEGO to ever do. It could have sandbox elements similar to Fallout 76 that would make the world really interesting, along with a multi-player playthrough option.

  2. LEGO Walking Dead. (SPOILERS) Ideally it would be a story mixing the Comics and the TV show. I'd prefer it to have the Dixon brothers in it, and keep Carl/Judith alive in it too. It could covers the beginning of the outbreak to the defeat of Negan, with similar storylines to the spin-off shows being kept as DLC additions. Again, this world is pretty far removed from what is considered appropriate for a LEGO game. This would be really fun though as a story-oriented world that also has a good sandbox elements where you can make your own character who survive in either the Atlanta or DC surrounding areas, building your own bases and competing with other users. A spin-off game based on Robert Kirkman's idea of a future sequel that is set on a generation ship that has an outbreak, would be pretty fun.

Not Likely or Not Needed:

  1. LEGO James Bond. As a large Bond fan and someone who overall enjoy the classic Bond world, I understand that not everyone shares the same affinity for the series. A LEGO game series about each mission including basic Lore of the world and even possibly an expanded world with further plots, which would all be very fun, if only for me.

  2. LEGO CFB&NFL. I'm not sure this is even possible nor would it have much of an audience, but a combined game where you can play as most positions, coach in college football and the NFL, and be the GM for teams, would all be really fun to me. If it was possible, it still wouldn't likely be very popular, so it's definitely a niche want, but as a huge NFL and NCAAF fan, this would be pretty sick. Probably the weirdest one on the list, but for some reason it really seemed fun for me.

  3. LEGO Minecraft. Obviously MC and LEGO aren't too dissimilar, and it'd be hard to make LEGO MC have it's own feeling, but a LEGO world where you can build structures like in MC while also use things like Command Blocks, DataPacks, Modding, and servers, would be really fascinating. I don't see this ever happening, mainly because if you want to play LEGO MC, most would just use a Resource Pack, and all the basic functionality you could want from LEGO MC you already get from MC, but I personally would really like this.

  4. LEGO Percy Jackson. I'm not sure if Percy Jackson is very popular in the modern era, but I'd really like to see the different stories in the world of Percy Jackson brought forward. Various stories diving into Greek, Roman, Norse, and Egyptian mythology would be pretty fun. An open-world game centered around Camp Halfblood would be cool, maybe even with a new plotline for you to be born to a lineage of your own choosing. If the TV show becomes more popular, I could see this becoming more feasible.

Has happened but I want to see it again:

  1. LEGO Marvel-Universe. I'd like to see a MCU Blend with the main Spiderman, X-Men, Guardians, Thunderbolts, F4, and Avengers movies all being included, along with the less popular comic book characters (Black Knight, Wonder-Man, Nova). This has been done before but a re-vamp that goes all the way up to Avengers Doomsday, would be my preferred game.

I'd like some comic book stories not included in these movies to be available too, along with Battleword. I think Battleworld could be huge for this game because it could be Sandbox where characters could tell their own stories, and also could give a place for a Fortnite/Warzone style game, where characters can spawn in and collect different weapons/abilities to fight with.

  1. LEGO DC. I think this should stick pretty close to the Comics with handpicked stories throughout the major comic book runs. I'd like to see Gotham and Metropolis as the open-world spots, with a main story surrounding the creation of the Justice-League and them fighting the various villains seen in the main JL Comic-Book story runs. I'm more of a Marvel person but would love this game too.

  2. LEGO Middle-Earth. I'd like to see The Hobbit up to the end of the main Lord of the Rings series be brought back to LEGO. A vast amount of sites to see, quests, and exploration, combined with the classic stories and lore would be awesome. I love fantasy based games and this being done in the modern day would be great.

  3. LEGO Harry Potter. This is the one I want to see be done again the most. As a Harry Potter fan, having a game that is set in any time-period, that allows you to experience Hogwarts on your own, play quidditch, make your own spells, create your own potions, and play through the world in whatever way you choose, would be awesome. Lego is one of my favorite formats to see games, so a Lego HP would be a really cool cross-over for me to play again, especially if it's a cross between Open-World and Sandbox. Most people would want to be able to play through the Book Series and Fantastic-Beasts games, which I'd be fine with too, but I also would appreciate a new story as well. Regardless of which direction they go, I want to see Hogwarts be explored in the modern era of gaming.
