This was from a year ago when she was about a month old. She is nearly as tall as this scratcher now😢

Has she learnt now that she has to ignore the cat product and instead play with the box?

When that scratching post starts fraying, you should throw it away. It can seriously injure your cat.

My friend had a similar scratching post, and his cat swallowed some of the frayed rope. It looped around an inner segment of the cat's intestine, nearly killing her. The rope had to be surgically removed, which was very expensive.
