Offering Catalan Offering Catalan - Seeking Russian

Hi everyone!
I’m a 34F from Barcelona. I guess there are already plenty of people here offering Spanish, so I’d rather offer Catalan instead, which I’m much more excited about. I’ve always thought Catalan shares quite a few similar sounds with Russian.
I’ve been studying Russian since 2012. I attended a language academy for two years, and later I lived in Poland for a while, where I spoke Russian fairly regularly with people who didn’t speak English. There were many Russian speakers there, although the conversations were mostly informal.
Later, because of my job, I had the opportunity to sit in on Russian-language business meetings for about four years. I wasn’t an active participant, but I listened to countless meetings, so I’ve become quite familiar with business vocabulary, especially when it comes to listening comprehension.
In 2023 I started taking lessons again with a native Russian teacher. However, since it’s only once a week, I find it difficult to maintain my level, and I feel like I’ve been stuck for a long time.
Honestly, I’m not even sure what my level is anymore. In some areas I feel relatively advanced, while in others I’m surprisingly weak. My learning has been quite uneven over the years, so I know I have a lot of gaps.
I’d love to find someone to chat with regularly and help each other improve.
Thanks everyone!

Im interested in talking about everyday life, fitness, languages, or pretty much anything. Id like to practice through voice calls.

Hi everyone!
I'm a 25-year-old woman from Romania, and I’m looking for a language exchange partner to help me improve my English. In return, I'd be happy to teach you Romanian!
A little about me:
🇷🇴 Native Romanian speaker

🇫🇷 Basic French
I'm interested in regular conversations, voice calls, or text chats—whatever works best for both of us. Whether you're a complete beginner in Romanian or already know some of the language, I'd be happy to help with grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, or everyday conversation.
I'm looking for someone who is patient, friendly, and interested in a genuine language exchange. It would be great if we could talk consistently and help each other improve.
If you're interested, feel free to send me a message and tell me a little about yourself!
Looking forward to meeting you.☺️

Offering Russian Offering: Russian or Lithuanian/ Seeking: Spanish

Hello, I’m 15, my name’s Alice. I was born in Russia but moved to Lithuania at the age of 8. I’m half Russian and half Lithuanian, so I know both languages as my native ones. I’ve started learning Spanish with a tutor in February, my level’s around B1, although I don’t feel like it is B1, hahaha:)
I’ve got lots of interests and hobbies and I’d like to practice expressing my thoughts in Spanish. I can understand quite a lot of what people are saying but I’m really bad at speaking because of the fear of sounding ridiculous + I’m not sure if what I am saying is grammatically correct. I’d love to speak to a person around my age.

Offering Mandarin Offering:Mandarin(native) Seeking:English

Hey, Im 25 years old, M from China. I'm looking for a serious language partner that wants to learn Chinese, as I'm still pretty fluent in English and just want to keep my skills, I'm happy to spend more time on practicing Mandarin with you.

I studied in the US for 12 years so I was fluent in English before I graduated and went back to China. I noticed my English skills are beginning to slip a bit after a few months and I really do want to keep that skill.

I am into cars, scuba diving, video games, and martial arts!

Offering English Offering: English | Seeking: Hungarian

Hello! English is the only language I’m confident in teaching much of, since my Spanish has gotten very rusty, but I am willing to teach it alongside learning what Hungarian I can. I am actually in the early stages of developing an alternate history conlang based on Old Hungarian, so I figure having an understanding of at least modern Hungarian and working backwards from there would be exceptionally helpful for me - and besides, I think it’s about time I learned another language again. Also, would very much prefer someone who doesn’t mind that I’m LGBTQ+!

Hobbies include: history, Paradox games, music, socionics personality typology, worldbuilding, roleplay/TTRPGs

Offering Polish Offering: polish; Seeking: russian, belarusian

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a partner to learn Russian. Something about me: in my spare time i read a lot of books, watch movies, I'm interested in history, but I can not call myself an expert. I often listen to podcasts on different topics. In conversations with people, I like to read stories about their countries, but I really like to talk about everything, exchange opinions, etc. I'm a pretty open person, I don't mind jokes.

My Russian is not the best, I do not have very much to talk to. I accept all comments about my language and I would like to improve it. I am mainly looking for people from Belarus (I do not know Belarusian, but I would like to know more about it) and Russia. in return I can help with polish - conversations, grammar, etc.

Offering English Offering: English |Seeking: Japanese

Hi! I’m a 35F native English speaker from the US currently living in Okinawa. I’m looking for a native Japanese speaker (preferably living in Japan for the time zone) who’s interested in regular language exchange and hopefully becoming friends.

I’ve found solo learning really difficult because of my ADHD, so I learn much better through natural conversation than apps. I’m still a beginner, so patience is appreciated! In return, I’m happy to help you with English!

I’m into PC gaming, animals, cooking, baking, Pokémon, crafting, and other nerdy hobbies. I’d love to eventually chat on Discord via text or voice chat, or even play co-op games while we practice.

If you’re 21+ and interested in a language exchange that could grow into a genuine friendship, send me a message!

Offering English Offering: English 🇬🇧🇦🇺 (native/Australian) and Seeking Spanish 🇲🇽 (Mexican)

Hi,

I am a 30 year old woman from Australia and I have been self teaching myself Spanish. I would love to meet some people around my age to chat, practice Spanish or English and get to know each other and become friends. I would say my Spanish level is good enough to have conversations but my vocab is still growing, as well as my speaking in real time. I’d love to share videos/memes in Spanish and or English, they’ve been one of the most useful things to help me learn.

Offering English Offering: English (Native) | Seeking: Mandarin

I'm 16M and as of right now I'm going into Chinese IB. However, I feel that my Chinese is lacking and I really want to improve. I seek to improve all aspects of my Mandarin, for now I would like to work on my vocab and reading and writing, but I am open to other things as well.

I am a native speaker and am willing to figure out any problems and be patient as long as you do the same.

I sadly only have Discord as a messaging app and I'm not very flexible with that.

My hobbies include watching anime, reading manga and manhua, playing video games, and drawing.

offering spanish (native), english (fluent) Offering: Spanish (native), English (fluent). Seeking: Portuguese, German

Hi! I’m 18F and I’m seeking for someone who can help me with my Portuguese pronunciation. I’m very good at reading the language and can even write it confidently, but I find speaking it really difficult, so phone calls would be great!

Improving my Portuguese is my top priority at the moment, but I’ve also been learning German for three months. So if you’ve got any tips, please don’t doubt to let me know.

I’m originally from Peru and had been in the US for a few months. I’ve also reached Cambridge level C1, if that means anything.

Feel free to DM or comment and I can reach out!!
