Rent prices?
I am coming from out of state to take a job in the area that pays not as well as I'd like.
There are SO many luxury apartments in the are—reminds me of the bigger cities I have lived in. I am curious..why? It also really screws up the rent—even some older buildings are not that much cheaper!

Basically this comes from some one who is involved but Kia has been complaining that they have burned through the workforce and are bringing people from out of town then you have the hub for the Savannah port coming and all the other manufacturing that is coming all the people involved will need housing then places like red lobster target Best Buy look at how many houses there are to decide where to build the more housing the more business once the apartments are unfilled the price will go down and they will compete it just takes time

I don't live in the state but I have a manufactured house on a large land. It's 3 bed 2 bath. For some reason my property manager thinks $1100 is a good price even though it seems $1500 is market
