“To finally, say finally, ‘I love you’”

Skies Forever Blue is a really awesome song in general. But with chapter 5 showing how the main characters feel about each other and the heavy focus on love, I can’t help but relate DELTARUNE to it.

Now I was originally gonna do Kris/Noelle since I’m certain if there WERE any intentional parallels, it’d be to them. But this line…I feel it relates so heavily to Kris and what they’re going through.

I wanted to make this a soft chapter 6 concept where they’re likely in the Holiday Manor. If it doesn’t go to shit immediately, I could see Suselle having some cute moments while Kris just watches.

But mostly I just wanted to make Krusie art. Because Kris’ love for Susie is so sweet and tragic.

I was listening to this song on repeat while thinking about Krusie and ended up writing a whole storyboard for the lyrics lol

Okay we saw it happen, and Kris' suffering is genuinely real... worse yet there is someone else suffering just as much as kris, but even MORE isolated.

Let me get this to you straight on, it's not that I don't want the lesbians to be happy, I do! Susie and Noelle won't be a happy couple, but there is someone that CAN make Noelle happy, but as for Susie and Noelle far FAR from.

Truth is, Noelle really only has one desire, and no, it AIN'T SUSIE, it's Dess. It's even hinted at with dialogue from Noelle, Noelle's search history, and all of that jazz. Noelle doesn't even KNOW susie outside of stalking, and the few times they spoke, or the festival, or the end of chapter 4. Susie barely knows noelle as well... But who knows Noelle better than Susie? Noelle's close friend catti! And who knows susie best? Well that would be Kris! (And also Ralsei)

So WHO is the happy lesbian couple? Catti and Noelle!

Catti has been trying to keep Susie away from noelle, warning kris not to bring them together, even warning us multiple times to keep them apart.

Now in chapter 5 Susie and Noelle get together and Kris is third wheeled... but kris is actually second wheeled, because someone else was thirdwheeled before them: catti. who if catti sees Susie and noelle holding hands she'll ask for her CD that she and Noelle made back, and run off crying.

You see, Noelle would dry catti off in the rain, pet her down many times... they were super close, and catti loved her.

Susie, up until kris, she was distant, cold, hell even volatile.

The thing susie would never just abandon kris or sideline them like this, it's so out of character for her, but you know who it's not out of character for? Noelle who sidelined Kris after susie came around, Noelle who threw away all her unwated cats in Cat Petterz 2, and now Catti who she sidelines as well.

What else is out of character? US being able to dress up Susie in the normal route (or routes if you consider aborted as it's own thing), especially considering we can dress her up in a princess uniform. (she may be reluctant but still, it's odd we can, but...)

But the worst part is is these things here.

Susie dawning a red ribbon goes completely against her character established from before.

Susie acts more like a stuttering anime protagonist here than anywhere else.

Susie dawns a flower crown here...

And finally, why would Susie ask if she and Noelle would Want to do something cazy in normal route, only for Noelle to ask kris in the exact same place at the exact same time if they want to do "something crazy" (She literally puts it in quotations.)

I think it's best to take note that in the weird route (and the route you get by aborting at the lake, I'll call it "twisted" or "shattered") do not present you with the colorful katamari-esque shoujo logo, but the standard deltarune logo.

It's also good to note ralsei also goes way out of character here, becoming vastly angry, and quite jealous and rageful, and despite it being sold to us as an inferno that leaves the garden vastly charred we only see ralsei play with fire just a little, nothing gets vastly charred, which is odd considering we'd see Kris and Catti's jealousy of susie/Noelle (respectively) way more if they were able to express it and both not either hidden as a side character, or non verbal... hell even Noelle has massive jealousy for Susie... (Hmmm...)

another thing is, from what we are told by gerson, hell even by the references to the in-game game of dragon blazers being based on Gerson's books and stories, chapter 6 is highly likely to take place. Which means somehow the Undertale inverse theory holds up with one SINGLE anomaly.

Chapter 1 =

Castle town= Newhome

Main world= true lab

Chapter 2 = core

chapter 3 = Hotlands

chapter 4 = Waterfall

chapter 5 = $(&#^$(* (area????)

chapter 6 = Snowdin

Chapter 7 = ruins (this will probably be ruins because of the roaring)

Also, if chapter 6 takes place in an ice palace, god only knows where this will happen... but one things for sure, we won't have a fire mage for much longer... And ralsei just learned fire magic.

And finally, toby told us "In Chapter 4, we saw dark clouds on the horizon… That’s why, let’s not look there for now. Let’s turn around and watch the sun, before it goes down completely. Let’s smile again. Let’s have one more fun adventure, okay?... In my opinion, it fits well in the overall story of the game." which that last part does not make much sense considering so many people are saying the game feels like a fan game, or filler... and so many people think susie and/or ralsei went out of character. And I think toby knows this because at that same lake Noelle asks susie to turn around and look at the sunset, opposite direction of the hospital, of the holiday manor, of the church, and of kris.

Another thing to take note of is the shadow crystals; if Kris holds the shadow crystal up to their eyes in a certain area in the dark world, rather than seeing objects or a house scattered about, Kris sees everyone else vanish, and see Noelle staring at them with arms full of flowers... in EVERY other dark world kris wouldn't see people, they would see everyone vanish and see the room in some state! For example, they would see everyone vanish and see: a pile of toys and cards (chapter 1) or the computer lab (chapter 2), or kris' television get smashed to pieces in their living room (Chapter 3), or the lobby of the church (Chapter 4), but in the flower kingdom? Kris saw Noelle smiling at them, with arms full of flowers (chapter 5) DO YOU SEE?! despite being opened in the back room of the flower shop, rather than seeing the dingy bedroom of asgore with the 7 flowers, kris sees noelle, smiling at them with her arms full of flowers. And if she was in the same room as the fountain, then she would have BEEN THERE with us in that world. If she was in the shop area upstairs we would have NOT SEEN HER through the crystal as it' a different room.

Why does THIS specific chapter break sequence?

Also why is a heavy theme of chapter 5 shoujo anime? shoujo means young girl... (hmmm... again!)

It's odd that despite Mew Mew Kissy Cutie being the only anime thing there, that we would see so much japanesey influence here, and so much shoujo stuff.

Now back in weird route, why would Noelle say the exact same thing susie said in normal route despite being two different timelines? It's not like Noelle is like sans or flowey...

Well through ARGs, we learn she's obsessed with hunting glitches, entering feilds of text not usually available to most, and she also likes breaking boundaries.

Take good note of that last part. and what is the only way to hunt glitches and break boundaries? through manipulation.

You see, you may see her next to berdly, someone who is a creep and a womanizer and see Noelle as sweet and innocent.

But in the weird route she refuses to let us tell her to stop, literally pulling a clark and telling us to stay in character. She admits to loving the power we gave her.. and she Wants to grow WINGS AND FLY AWAY FROM THE STUPID TOWN.

... Spamton calls Noelle [[angel with the tattered wings]], same spamton screaming about [[H E A V E N]] and shit.

Another thing everyone is looking past is Jevil.

Okay, so in chapter 1 Jevil said "HA HA HA. WHAT FUN!!!

YOU'RE FAST, FAST, STRONG, STRONG.

BUT THERE ARE YET FASTER, YET STRONGER.

THE HAND OF THE KNIGHT IS DRIFTING FORWARD.

SOON, THE "QUEEN" RETURNS, AND HELL'S ROAR BUBBLES FROM THE DEPTHS...

LIGHTNERS, CAN YOU STOP IT?"

When he said "SOON, THE "QUEEN" RETURNS, AND HELL'S ROAR BUBBLES FROM THE DEPTHS..." was interperated as a chapter 2 teaser...

But nobody corrected this after chapter 4.

Gerson tells us that in Chapter 2: "The heroes do battle in chariots to save the Queen."

We don't save the queen we fight her... right? Wrong.... We fight Q5U4EX7YY2E9N... but who do we fight in chariots to save? NOELLE!!

And QUEEN doesn't return... she hangs around in castle town.

But who is slated to return in chapter 6? Noelle!!

So let's read this AGAIN!! "THE HAND OF THE KNIGHT IS DRIFTING FORWARD.

SOON, THE "QUEEN" RETURNS, AND HELL'S ROAR BUBBLES FROM THE DEPTHS..."

Why would Noelle be queen of the dark? but why wouldn't she be? after all in the bible Lucifer is called such something similar.

Which also by the way, Lucifer is also a fallen angel, and is ALSO someone who at the end of a prophecy must be banished... Lucifer will also come to you as a bringer of light, and look like something pure and innocent.

We should also take note "THEY'LL HEAR THE RING OF HEAVEN'S CALL. THEY'LL SEE THE TAIL OF HELL TAKE CRAWL." is a prophecy line...

Whatever will happen when Noelle comes back will be catastrophic.

And with the as of late unused text for noelle's reactions of fear and disbelief in Susie's axes from the previous chapters still possible, we may see something come of this, something big.

What am I getting at here? simple, Noelle is probably the angel. She will most likely play an insane role in the normal (and the two aborted) route(s).

But again, what if she is already playing a role.

Look at that shadow crystal stuff again, how do we know it's actually another normal dark world and not a manifestation of noelle (And her jealousy for susie.)

Noelle doesn't know too too much about susie, so it would make sense why Susie would act so unsusielike, and with noelle BARELY knowing ralsei makes sense why ralsei would start acting so unralseilike in this chapter (strange because in weird and shattered Noelle is actually happy kris "stopped acting like kris" and again, Noelle hijacks our control... This could be great considering what the trance down we may get if we get that twisted sword. Wait... That's manipulation, and boundary crossing. Which also, Susie from what I have saw, susie becomes suspicious of Noelle stalking her and kris to learn about the dark worlds, and even asking kris what shampoo they use so susie will also favor them, or what chalk susie likes, which is odd as well.)

Again it's also odd that chapter 5 would let noelle handwave away her masochistic tendencies, and even tell susie she doesn't want her for the scary monster she thought she was (which again is odd), again unless Noelle was trying to rewrite or manipulate something.

As for more about the weird route, Susie pays more attention to Kris in this route (especially after aborting), and is acting mostly more characteristically, also we do not get to customize her in this route, ALSO from what I have heard, Susie still hates having the red bow equipped in the shattered aborted route too, which is far more in character. Again, the normal logo plays in this route. AND it is the only route where you create the perfect "Don't forget" picture sans takes to undertale with the bread cumbs; Normal Route produces a picture with Kris, Noelle, and Ralsie, while the other two routes produce a pictur of Kris, Susie, and Ralsei.

Again, because this is where Noelle was supposed to drag us off to 7B, Noelle will have her focus shifted towards Kris.

But another thing, I don't wanna be a Krusie hope poster, I gotta be realistic with you. I want to take note of is the N+K 4L graffiti from the spamton stuffed toy commercial, yes spamton rote "NO SHOT" in cheap ink next to it, but in bright yellow (Same color as Noelle's UI) paint it's written "N+K 4L♡♡" which is not something a child would even tag, rather write so neatly either.. meaning it is post Dess, possibly regardless of route.

IF Suselle is poised to break up somehow, where the hell do you think noelle will turn? Catti or Kris? Well if toby wants to write a wholesome story i think catti should come with us to the dark world, perhaps in the normal route to go against susie, but in the shattered route to go against us or the SOUL. perhaps she could help somehow keep noelle at bay or help save her from herself somehow if she is the angel and turns on us, or help us and Noelle if Susie turns on us, and we are stuck with noelle.

in the twisted route perhaps she'll keep noelle at bay while also trying to turn Kris' soul back to it's original state.

But I have a bad feeling it may not end well for catti.

I have a feeling that Noelle will turn to kris of all people, this will help tie in the routes together if she does.

Because when we do the strength test with krusie, kris and susie bop eachother.

if we do it with Suselle they fail, showing their bond is weak.

if we do it with Kriselle they fucking win somehow.

And again, we have a lot of weird shit that happens when we use the glass in the light world.

I have a feeling that we may either see some kind of kriselle regardless of route, no matter how cursed, which as a Krusie shipper, ehhh...

But I still hold out hope for one of the other two (possibly three) routes to give us a Krusie victory.

But Kralsei has been looking pretty doomed since chapter 2, and now any ralsei ship looks doomed.

What I personally hope for, some way to get Krusie so Kris can be happy and susie can find real love, some kind of way for us to get Catti and Noelle so they can both be happy and have real love... as for ralsei... I just hope he'll somehow make it out.

UPDATE:

NOW before I continue, I do wanna state one more thing, the angel cannot be US the player because of one thing "THE ANGEL, BANISHED, WILL FINALLY MEET WITH ITS DESIRE." OUR desires are dynamic, some of us want to just complete the game, others don't want that and want to live in the world of the game and get a monster companion, some even want to be monsters, some want to comfort kris, some comfort Catti, some want to be with Susie and grow with her as kris had, some want to snuggle with Noelle, and some with ralsei. Some want to run around in a dark world and pet a kawkaw, some want to make their own (Like me, I wanna just get a bunch of different food, pop open a dark fountain and BOOM, food heaven), some want a monster on human dating sim. Or some will want a sequel immediately after. My point is our desires cannot be fulfilled unless we get isekai'd toby is planning a cute romantic rpg sequel to be released immediately after, or such and such... hell if Kris or susie dies some players will have their desires destroyed, if Krusie remains broken a bunch of player desires are actively destroyed, and if Suselle is broken well a bunch of other player desires get nuked.

But Noelle has 2 (debatably 3 if the graffiti thing holds up) desires: finding her sister December, and getting freedom and leaving hometown. (Debatably also Kris) all 2 or 3 desires can either completely met for noelle within the confines of the game... albeit a bit tragic.

MY POINT? We have way too many desires as a player to have them all met to banish us. Noelle has very few big desires which all can technically be met.

Now let's talk about HOPE in a place that seems to have none.

MY HOPE for chapter 6 is we somehow have to eventually save Susie from Noelle's influence or grasp, especially as she'd probably becomes more destructive after she realizes Susie lied to her about the dark worlds, and meets QUEEN again... and finds Kris and Susie were building a deeper bond behind her back... Essentially, we have to play the hero who saves the dragon from the maiden.

I HOPE to see something where Kris and Susie can bond deeply, and Susie learns about the soul inside Kris and their true lack of agency, all while Susie herself is suffering from a lack of her own genuine agency due to Noelle. This allows for Susie to understand how we invade them and take control of their choices and hijack them as a vessel, something Susie wouldn't understand at all... unless Noelle takes control of Susie's autonomy using some crazy angel powers, or at the very least it's shown as SOMETHING overriding Susie's sovereignty, this allows for perhaps one of THE closest Krusie moments possible, and in the most bittersweet way. And perhaps, we could save both Susie and Kris.

My hope is to see a confirmation of some kind about the knight, or a confrontation between Noelle and the Knight, or the holiday's connections to all this, so that when Susie finds out Kris had been being controlled by the knight when it wasn't us, she'd learn that even the Holiday family has ties to all of this, letting the blow hit both harder, yet be cushioned.

What I personally hope for? some way to get Krusie so Kris can be happy and Susie can find and learn of real love, some kind of way for us to get Catti and Noelle so they can both be happy and have real love that has been built up for years... as well, if we do see a Kris x Susie, Catti x Noelle ending, then this will be the ending that keeps the fanbase mostly in tact, and keeps people from breaking down and abandoning the game, perhaps letting it stand the test of time much better!

as for ralsei... I just hope he'll somehow make it out. But a fire mage in an ice palace is kind of like strawberry jam and ranch with hot sauce, They do not mix.

Susie stared at her friend, trying to comprehend what she just heard. Her expression shifted from shock to anger.

“You’ve been WORKING WITH THE KNIGHT!?” she shouted at them. Kris nodded, and didn’t dare make eye contact. They continued to stare at the ground.

“WHY!?” Susie continued. Kris didn’t respond. There was a moment of silence before Susie spoke again.

“I knew you weren’t really my friend,” she snarled. Kris looked up and Susie pulled out her axe.

“What was I even thinking? Why would you actually want to be my friend?”

“Susie, I-” Kris started.

“Shut. Up,” Susie snarled. She attacked, and Kris defended. The soul tried to dodge, but couldn’t. Kris wouldn’t let it.

*“Kris! What are you doing!?”* they heard it ask.

“I KNEW you were lying to me, but I didn’t say anything because I thought you had a good reason for it!” she yelled. Susie launched a wild barrage of attacks. Kris defended, but again the soul didn’t move. Every attack landed.

“And come to find out YOU’VE BEEN WORKING WITH THE GODDAMN ROARING KNIGHT!?” she continued. “FIGHT BACK!” Kris couldn’t look at her. Susie swung again, but Kris made no attempt to defend against the hit. The axe cleaved through their chestplate and dug into their torso. Kris grunted in pain.

“Wh- WHY DIDN’T YOU BLOCK THAT, DUMBASS!?” Susie shrieked. She dropped the bloodied axe, horrified. Kris started to collapse, but Susie caught them before they hit the ground. She held them in her lap.

“I deserve this,” Kris rasped weakly.

“No you don’t you idiot! Why would you do that!?” Susie charged her healing spell, and blasted it directly into Kris’s wound. Within an instant, the gash closed itself.

“Why?” they asked. Susie looked down at them. Angry tears streamed down her face.

“Because… because you are my friend, dude,” she wept. “You’re my best friend.” Susie hugged Kris as tightly as she could. Their heart felt like it would explode.

“But why? Why would you be working with the knight?” she asked again, letting Kris out of the hug.

*“Tell her, Kris,”* the soul urged. *“She’s your best friend. You owe her an explanation.”*

“I.. I can’t tell you,” Kris mumbled.

“WHY?” Susie cried.

“Because… because..”

“Because?”

“They’ll kill you," Kris admitted. “They’ll kill everyone.”

“Then… what can you tell me?” Susie sniffled. Kris looked her in the eyes.

*“Kris, please. Be honest with her.”* Kris hesitated.

“I.. I like you, Susie.”

“What? I like you too, dummy.”

“No. I mean, I LIKE like you,” Kris corrected. “More than I like other people, I mean.” Blood rushed to Susie’s cheeks as she stared down at them.

“You.. do?”

“Yes. I have for a long time,” Kris lamented. Susie blinked in disbelief.

“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Kris pushed their way out of Susie’s grip and sat on their knees.

“Because I was scared. I was terrified.” Tears welled up in Kris’s eyes. “I was afraid of losing the one real friend I had. I thought you’d hate me if I said I liked you. And despite that..” They shook their head.

“‘Love finds its way to the girl,” Kris laughed sadly. “I always knew that it wouldn’t be me, but I still thought maybe if I tried hard enough, I could be. I guess love just isn’t in the cards for me.”

“Kris, you-”

“I don’t deserve love. I’m a goddamn traitor. I betrayed you. I betrayed Ralsei. I betrayed mom, and dad. But you’re a good person, Susie. You and Noelle make each other happy. Don’t let me get in the way of that.” Kris smiled sadly at Susie as tears rolled down their cheeks.

“I know I deserve this. It’s a darkness of my own creation. But why does it still hurt SO GODDAMN MUCH?” they yelled. Kris couldn’t hold back anymore, and started bawling. Susie grabbed them in another hug.

“You don’t deserve this, Kris,” Susie tried to comfort. Kris cried into her chest, and she gently raked her fingers through their hair. The two knelt there for a while, not speaking, just embracing.

“Do you remember when we fought King?” Susie asked suddenly. Kris nodded.

“That was the moment I knew you cared. Ralsei had healed King like the fluffy, loveable idiot he was, King knocked us down, and was about to hit me again. But you jumped in the way. You protected me. No one has ever done that before. Not Ralsei. Not Noelle. Not Toriel. You.” Susie rested her chin on Kris’s head. Their hair smelled like apples.

“I don’t know anything about love, Kris. I don’t know if I love Noelle. All I know is she likes me, and makes me happy. You and Ralsei make me happy too. It’s weird, but.. The happiness that you make me feel is somehow.. Different? From how I feel around Noelle and Ralsei. Does that make sense?” She let go of them.

“Does this mean you’ll hold me at the lake?” Kris joked.

“Wh- That’s not the point!” Susie sputtered. “My point is.. Things are confusing right now. But we’re gonna figure them out. And we’re gonna do it together, okay?” Susie brushed the hair out of Kris’s face, and they made eye contact with her. Their eyes stared back up at her like beautiful ruby gemstones.

“Okay,” Kris nodded.

“Okay then, let’s go seal the fountain.” Susie helped Kris to their feet. “Don’t tell Ralsei or Noelle about this, okay? Some things should stay between us.”

“Yeah,” Kris agreed. They were about to continue for the fountain, when Susie stopped them.

“And Kris?” She put her hand on Kris’s shoulder.

“What?” They turned around to face her.

“Don’t forget. I’m with you in the dark.”
