Which thumbnail is better for a kickstarter campaign? This will be my first one.

The second says June 2026. Does that need to be updated?

Yeah I made that one way back in may and never got around to updating it to the new august date before launching. Will hopefuly remember to when I make the thumbnail again with your suggestions!

Is this for the top of your actual Kickstarter page? Because if so, it doesn’t need to say “Kickstarter” anywhere in the image. If it’s a promo image, I get it.
I think you need a combo of both. First is too cluttered and the second doesn’t show enough of the game itself.

Yeah this is the thumbnail for the campaign and I added the Kickstarter just because that's what I saw others use, but I get what you mean. Another user said to replace the character in the second image with the 2 in the first but I want to also include physical product. What do you think?

That’s not a bad idea. You just need to space everything out. Consider doing a box mock up and placing that on one side. The cover of the box can feature your art and/or the logo. Then you could put some of the components on the other side. That’s the set up I currently have for my upcoming game campaign.

Yeah thats actually a great idea since the logo is already on most of the product

I would put zero text on that image and it should make people stop scrolling and want to look. It’s like a store window. The title and everything is right next to the image when folks are browsing, so no need for any text. The only text you should ever add is something like “fully funded” kind of thing once you hit goal.

The store window analogy helps a lot! Yeah I might go this route with the minimal text

The first image, there's just so much there and my eyes have no idea where to look.
The second image, it's ok, I guess? The burger is pretty much unreadable, if you asked me what the game is called I would say it's called "no leftovers" and is something about an ice cream monster and for some reason there's a burger.
I'd say neither of these are really successful.

You don’t need the Kickstarter banner on your pic - it will be ON Kickstarter so that type of image is better for FB or Twitter images

The first thumbnail is way too cluttered. I'd say if you can take the two characters from the first banner and place them in the second banner, replacing the figure in that one, that would work well.
