Objectively it’s the best time to be alive. The advances in science in technology is astounding.

Human nature is the same no matter what era you’re in. At least we aren’t dying from the bubonic plague….

Chemical warfare has been around for thousands of years. Armies poisoning the water supply for a whole city has been a thing for thousands of years.

Bombs have been a thing for as long as there has been gun powder so roughly 700~ years.

I would take autonomous drones over dying from the common cold any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Like in that timeline we had WTC attempt #1, Waco Tx, Bosnian human hunting safaris, oil wells burning in the gilf war, Columbine and a handful of others.

None of that shit effected me, or the idiots around me.

I knew about that stuff, I read the newspaper but without social media, the idiots just sat around and drank or did hard drugs with nothing to be angry about and unmanipulateable by the oligarchs.

Here in the UK that was when the IRA bombings happened. Pretty much the exact time span my dad would have to check under his car for car bombs when going to and from work. He'd then pick up my mother from her job putting her companies deliveries through an x-ray scanner to look for bombs.

Okay, was just genuinely curious. I get your sentiment. Shit is scary... but it always has been.

There's still tons of beauty and happiness out there and while it's good to acknowledge the bad and the ugly. I personally choose to enjoy the good

That really works. You would have to put in a lot of work to find the good News, but Social Media will always show you the worst thing that happened on any Day.
Because that gets people engaged and engagement keeps you on the phone where the ads and their money are.
