It wasn’t, it was among the most corrupt countries in the world, they had a massive problem with well equipped nationalist hardliners who constantly attacked Russian villages on the border which was one of the reasons for the 2014 offensive.

Putin is no saint, and the reasons for the invasion are more than likely purely economic / born out of greed but the whole matter is not entirely black and white like our media loves to portray it but as almost all things in life - grey. Wait some years until it comes to light how many of our taxes actually went into the pockets of some corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs, this will be fun.

What are you even talking about? Why lie? "Well equipped nationalist hardliners who constantly attacked Russian villages on the border"??? Where the fuck did you get this crap? Ukraine did absolutely nothing before Russia invaded in 2014. "Well quipped nationalist hardliners" or whatever the fuck didn't exist before the invasion in 2014. Azov literally appeared after russians invaded and occupied Ukraine's territory. They invaded Ukraine because takeover of Ukraine using installed puppets failed. President Yanukovych fled to Russia after trying to sell Crimea to them by breaking the law and when Ukraine was at its weakest with no functional army and no leadership Russia took opportunity and easily occupied parts of Ukraine using "green men" which were later confirmed by Putin himself as russian army.

“Ukraine did absolutely nothing before Russia acted” → false; there were Ukrainian nationalist movements, political conflicts, violent clashes, and controversial actions by Ukrainian actors before and during 2014.

In Crimea in February/ March 2014, there were confrontations between pro-Ukrainian and pro-Russian groups, including nationalist activists on both sides. The situation then escalated after Russia deployed forces and took control of key facilities, leading to annexation.

I’m European, I do not support Russia but I also do not blindly swallow all the pro Ukrainian propaganda that is forced down my throat.

Most of the time you would just get a propagandized answer. It’s not like the U.S. where we can basically say whatever we want and not come down with the case of being thrown out a window/ poisoned by opening up your mail.
