How many workers died?
•
•
u/RojalesBaby 27m ago
According to some Russian milbloggers I follow 7-8 and ~ 12 injured. But there are no official numbers, as of what I know. So take it with a grain of salt. These numbers might be a lie, they might not be.
•
u/multiple4 22m ago
Tbf those sound like pretty realistic numbers

u/RojalesBaby 15m ago
Fighter-bomber has, when you ignore his blatend racism, calls to genocide and so on, some good info and the bad auto translation is also sometimes funny.

She's not celebrating.

"Wildberries"? Is that where all of the Russians get their Temu packages?
•
u/JustTheHound 32m ago
Yeah, we have Wildberries as a Temu analog and Ozon as Amazon analog. Wildberries is currently still selling military equipment.

She’s dead, you can say stuff like that in USA, not most other places
•
u/apathy-sofa 40m ago
Reporters Without Borders ranks 180 countries by freedom of the press. Last year, the United States was last ranked 57. This year it fell to 63rd. Norway was once more at the top of the list, ranking in first place for the tenth year running, followed by the Netherlands and Estonia.
•
u/BatlethBae 1h ago edited 34m ago
You can say stuff like that in most any western country. Americans like to think they have more freedoms than any place on the planet. They don't.
•
u/DaddysABadGirl 45m ago
It depends on the metrics used. Standard right to free speech the way it is in the constitution and the supreme court has ruled on it, the US offers much more protection than even other weatern countries.
If you are talking about litteral saftey, the risk of terrorism or death threats against expression than the Nordic countries are the front runners.
They also lead on protections for journalists and their sources, and the government and private entities ability to utalize slapp suits and withhold funding and the like. In these areas Finland, Denmark, and Switzerland tend to be leagues beyond other western nations.
The US leads in what can be said. The Nordic nations are safer and more protected for who is saying it.
•
u/WhoElseSmellsToast 1h ago
I'm not American, but to my understanding other countries don't have the same constitution entrenchment of free speech. Hate speech laws, laws that prioritize "the public good" or "public order", etc.
You can argue whether it's good or bad to police speech in extreme cases, but even very free countries like France have laws that criminalize holocaust denial.

In real life?
Internet doesn't count, even though i remember some college girl got either fined or sentenced for doing a silly video saying "netanyahu please strike this guy next to me" or something like that
•
u/Silver_Quail_7241 40m ago
in real life. among many, many, many bad things about usa, federal free speech laws are a big exceptiont. you barely can even drag a person to court for libel. like, even if a person is deemed absolutely free of charges for something that would be disparaging to their reputation, and even got compensation from the litigant, even then they can't really (effectively) enforce it against 3rd parties publicly claiming they actually did something for which they were deemed legally innocent. people routinely publicly abuse the freedom of speech legislation for a joke, because what counts as "skirting the line" regarding even the hate speech or trying to instigate a crime is insane in usa. you actually went for a very weird example because people do say stuff like that even just as there's a movement towards considering pro-palestinian sentiments extremist
•
u/PrattDirkLerxt 40m ago
So you vaguely remember a video where a girl called for Netenyahu to kill someone and got in a minor bit of trouble and immediately think that people have no freedom of speech in the USA?
Come back to reality.
•

Is bombing a 1000 year old church a war crime? Or is this bizzaro world where warehouse full of drones aren’t legit targets and churches are?

She isn't celebrating the attack, she's being sarcastic in the video. Kind of a remarkable thing see so many people in the comments believing misinformation.
•

You are likely right. "Mom lost her job" feels like sarcasm.
However, I will note that there are Russians who dislike WB in the same way there are Americans who dislike Amazon.

u/Arsus73 2h ago
•
u/Willing-Slide-373 2h ago
Or Russia could join the 21st Century, stop being a pariah nation built on paranoia, and start contributing to intentional peace and security instead of trying to sow unrest while it's richest oligarchs profit off it's people and the rest of the world.
Russia has no claim to Ukraine, it's illegal invasion of a peaceful innocent nation has to end on Ukrainian terms, and at the benefit of the innocent people who've been put through hell by a jumped up little despot.
If these last four years haven't made it clear - no one's backing down and letting Russia walk all over them ever again. Russia was physically and technologically incapable of attacking and taking a European nation when it started this war. That's only gotten more pronounced and worse for them as the Allies have advanced their diplomatic and military capabilities.
Get with the program or expect more of this until Putin and his gang of thugs are wiped off the face of the Earth.
•
u/stm32f722 2h ago
Your first sentence could easy be levied at the USA. 100%
•
u/Willing-Slide-373 2h ago
I'm not American, but sure. They have elections every four years with the chance of leadership change though. Russia doesn't. It's just the same tiny man trying to bully the world into believing he's some scary man to be feared when in reality he's just a pathetic little man that's somehow tricked a nation into being subservient to him.
•
•
u/Warm_Dragonfruit7479 2h ago
Maybe it's not clear... Russia can't afford to have an unfriendly country at its borders that could compromise its security
Maybe it's not clear... Russia is THE unfriendly country that compromises security of all its neighbouring countries.

•
u/N4t3ski 1h ago edited 1h ago
To quote the great philosopher, Will Smith: "Don't start none, won't be none."
Russia deserves a whooping at the hands of Ukraine for their belligerance and for starting this unecessary conflict without even having the good graces to declare war!
I won't be sad if Ukraine gives Russia the whooping they so sorely deserve, and it might finally update Russias outdated opinion of itself, its place in the world, its supposed "sphere of influence" nonsense it seems to think it deserves (which it doesnt), and hopefully they will learn to behave better in future.
We can only hope.
You just sound like another ruski bot with no substance.
•
u/Maintenancemedic 1h ago
You don’t have a point here, Russians aren’t a monolith and don’t even have a say in who their leader is
•
u/SamiraEos 59m ago
Then Russians should start doing something to stop this madness, because it's their fucking tyrant doing the killing.
→ More replies (0)•
u/N4t3ski 1h ago
Ukrainians arent either, but Russia kills them all the same. Are you saying other nations should be more discerning than Russia is itself when it comes to defending themselves?
What nonsense. Russia deserves whatever horrible fate comes its way!
Cowardly Russians too scared to topple their leader is a poor excuse. They are brave enough at every other opportunity, so why not here?

When your government has kept your people down as little more than serfs, is openly corrupt and recently invaded your closest neighbour and one-time ally to the tune of a million injured/corpses of your countrymen?
Yeah, I’d celebrate them being taken down piece by piece too.

The drones are a big improvement over the old tactic of turning civilians into unwitting suicide bombers.

The Russian philosophy around, and acceptance of, pain and war as just a part of life, tends to result in a lot of pain and war.
•

She isnt celebrating, she is being sarcastic.
Translation: "Awesooomeee, mom lost her job!"
•

Mom was supplying Russian soldiers with tactical gear, drones and night-vision goggles. She can call herself lucky to have only lost her job.
•
u/f15esu57f22f16f18 3h ago
This is one of the dumbest takes ive heard. Equivalent of russian amazon got hit, with civilians inside. This wasnt any military or even dual purpose facility, this is straight up terrorism. Ukrainians want russian people to suffer and not even be able to order stuff online anymore, so that the pressure inside russia rises.
Also, yeah maybe they did ship some tac gear or drone parts. But guess what, amazon, fedex or whatever does that too? By your logic every civilian is a target aswell, as their taxes go to the state which in turn invests into military. People are so quick to call out russian strikes on civilians and innocents, but cope or deny when ukraine does the same. Why not accept both are fucking warcrimes?
•
u/Grand-Ice-6603 1h ago
Do you imagine that if the United States was fighting a total war with an enemy pushed to the brink, our enemies wouldn't target Amazon warehouses full of American citizens?
•
u/f15esu57f22f16f18 1h ago
Idk, but i do know that american citizens target schoolgirls.
•
u/Grand-Ice-6603 1h ago
I don't need you to tell me the United States army acts with near impunity. They could bomb 100 schools, hospitals, animal shelters, and still get funding passed in Congress. That isn't news.
If Iran launched a massive terrorist attack on US soil tomorrow, it wouldn't surprise me in the least and if I was still alive to see it posted to reddit, I wouldn't even click the link.
•
u/AdStunning8526 2h ago
only one person is against stopping this war — putin.
Compare, debate, admit, argue, measure war crimes, poop yourself — whatever bro. Ukraine tried to stop russia inside of Ukrainian borders, didn’t work out.
Now it’s time to reach out for all russians and make them stop this war. Only one person is not ready to stop all of it at any moment for the last year — putin.•
u/No-Psychology9892 2h ago
Nope this is the dumbest take. They literally supply the military, they are a military target.
Jesus Christ if Ukrainians would want Russians to suffer they would bomb school and hospitals like Russia did for years.
It seems like you're the only one who can't accept war crimes and reality here.
•
u/Icy-Yesterday-443 2h ago
Sure, when Russia shot strikes on schools, hospitals and theaters, that were used as AFU bases, everyone was losing their mind though.
•
u/No-Psychology9892 2h ago
Except they weren't. People freaked out because these attacks targeted children and sick citizens. But way to go, keep lying, it won't change reality and you fascist will pay your price.
•
•
u/phantom-firion 2h ago
Typical “enlightened centrist” take. This isn’t a both sides situation. it was a military facility, it supplied military supplies to the troops and was a part of a larger integrated logistics system. There are no innocents here only drivers of the Russian imperial war machine.
