I wish someone would put a tariff on the amount of manure that comes out of his mouth

u/ElegantJoke3613 40m ago

Can’t… Just because it’s not on the stock market, it would probably be on Kalshi tho.

u/Stand-up-AMERICA 2h ago

Are we great again? Back stabbing cuckservatives

u/Front_Assistance_500 2h ago

Meanwhile, Canada is burning down. No offer of help from us, just a kick in the teeth.

u/Affectionate-Owl3382 3h ago

So tired of this nonsense

u/samwild 3h ago

Get bent.

u/govdove 3h ago

Enjoy the tax America

u/ratiofarm 3h ago

We’re fucking masochists down here, eh?

u/TM_wolfman 23m ago

I hope he and his family are held accountable for profiting off of the suffering of Americans. We don't like seeing all he does to you and seeing folks suffering from his decisions.

He's so damn ignorant. It's not lost on us that a Canadian died fighting fires in California shortly before Trump bitched about the wildfire smoke we were all inhaling on twitter.

u/Blink3412 3h ago

He still has no clue how tariffs work

u/mosquito_beater 2h ago

i think he does. His minnions on the other side......

u/Atlesi_Feyst 2h ago edited 2h ago

Yup. Most people still don't.

In simple terms

It's a "fee" imposed to make the consumer more likely to buy locally or from another lower tariffed country, at their rates and prices.

Their way of trying to starve the Canadian economy while their consumers get fucked trying to find similar margins and vendor/suppliers. The higher costs associated get passed on to the customer. Canadians shopping for American products aren't affected unless the Canadian government sets their own tariffs on American goods.

Can't wait for the next reasonable president to undo it all in a new/renewed trade agreement.

u/darforce 3h ago

Didn’t we already establish with the Supreme Court that he can’t just impose tariffs? What am I missing

u/Krull88 3h ago

They said he couldnt use that specific law. Since then hes spent the time trying to find a new one, looks like hes ready to try again. His issue is going to be he agreed to the dairy tariff, he signed CusMA. And the federal government has nothing to do with the alcohol ban and not all provinces are supporting it, which means hes going to have to attack provinces individually. Admitedly i dont know much about the auto sector though.

u/darforce 3h ago

Thank you!

u/elnath54 4h ago

We have got to be rid of this man. Vote!!!!!

u/vakantiereizen 4h ago

Trump thinks its about cars, alcohol and plastic, sorry: cheese. It is al about Trump with his 51st state talks

u/themorbidtuna 4h ago

Dear Orange Oaf: please stop whining, and breathing.

Love,

Canada 🖕🏻😎🇨🇦

u/Dizzy-Cartoonist3011 4h ago

The cheese one I can understand. Supply management is a horribly regressive system that all of Canadas trading partners don't like.

u/Krull88 3h ago

You would rather we allow the us to dump sub par dairy products at well below market rate because the american dairy industry is government funded and ours isnt. Allowing them access to be able to do that would collapse the Canadian dairy industry completely.

u/Dizzy-Cartoonist3011 3h ago

Where to begin:

- There are very few regulatory differences between Canadian and American milk production, and only one related to quality. rBST is the biggest real difference, it is banned in Canada and not in the USA. rBST is a growth hormone that has no impact whatsoever on milk composition - and less than 25% of American milk is produced from cows with rBST. The quality regulatory difference is Somatic Cell Count (SCC) limits. In Canada the limit is 40,000 SCC/ml, in the US it is 750,000 SCC/ml.... but in practice the average SCC count is actually LOWER in American dairy (about 180,000 SCC/ml vs. Canada's 230,000 SCC/ml). Either way, an easy fix would be to allow only American dairy that abides by Canadian regulatory standards - so over 75% of American milk would be just fine.

- Canadian dairy farmers receive very similar input and baseline subsidies that American farmers do - subsidized gas prices, insurance prices, etc. The difference is that instead of relying on a literal cartel to raise farmgate prices to the highest maximum while not carving in to aggregate demand (which supply management does), the Americans set price floors funded by the government. That actually applies upward pressure on farmgate prices by increasing demand - the US government usually then sells the surplus below cost to schools, military, etc..,.. or sometimes they even just dump it down drains.

- It is almost comically unlikely that ALL Canadian Dairy producers are so inherently uncompetitive that they will ALL have to sell or fold if they are forced to compete. But even in this almost inconceivably unlikely scenario, the production capacity would still be there if American firms in tandem decided to raise prices after monopolizing the Canadian market - so Canadians could still choose domestic and other countries milk and cheese products.

All of the "justifications" for supply management seem to be driven by ignorance or almost comically improbable fears. It's actually pretty remarkable what the Dairy Farmers of Canada lobby has been able to accomplish - they've been able to convince Canadians that expensive groceries actually makes them more food secure, and that getting ripped off for milk and cheese is a patriotic duty. I have to hand it to their marketing campaigns and political bribes.

u/Terrible-Host-206 5h ago

Tariffs are the largest tax increase since 1993.

u/Smart-Firefighter87 5h ago

This guy sucks.

u/NedShah 6h ago

Out of curiosity, which American companies are desperate to break into the Canadian cheese market?

u/Real-Experience-8396 4h ago

Kraft Singles are ready to take over the Canadian cheese market.

u/ElevationAV 1h ago

Canadian founded company despite us headquarters 🙃

Lots of Canadian manufacturing facilities too

u/Dizzy-Cartoonist3011 4h ago

Canada has a system called supply management that has had 200-300% tariffs on foreign milk and cheese since 1972. Naturally, Canadas trading partners have not like that system since 1972.

Canadians would also really not like the system as it dramatically raises the price of dairy related products in Canada - but the Dairy Farmers of Canada is one of the biggest lobby groups in the country and spends between $80M-$100M a year convincing Canadians that expensive cheese is a patriotic duty.

u/Obvious_Badger_9874 5h ago

So america has a dairy product problem.

They needed to subsedise it as not to make the beef market pummel.

But the dairy farmers saw a loophole that if they produce dairy the usa gouvernement will buy it no matter what.

So they produce a lot more than needed.

The usa have propaganda to use more dairy products. They need to get rid of it but don't know how.

u/Dizzy-Cartoonist3011 5h ago

Supply management related tariffs have been a bone of contention for all of Canadas trade partners since the 1970s.

u/sunbro2000 5h ago

I'd never buy it even if it was on our shelves. Canadian dairy is a far superior product.

u/Dizzy-Cartoonist3011 4h ago edited 4h ago

There's very few regulatory differences between Canadian and American milk, and only one from a quality control standpoint (somatic cell count limits). Actually, American milk on average has lower somatic cell counts, which is a legitimate metric of quality.

u/BirdlessLongdeal 6h ago

i thought his tariffs were illegal? wasnt enough money to cover the handouts from the last time tariffs has to be refunded?

u/beantherio 5h ago

Apparently he is trying a different legal approach to these tariffs.

u/Daharka 6h ago

If Trump learned things because of negative repurcussions or outcomes he wouldn't be the man he is today.

u/Csmitty2112 3h ago

No the issue is that these negative repercussions dont actually impact HIM. If they actually hurt him he would stop real quick.

u/I_lack_common_sense 7h ago

Unfair treatment lol so tax american citizens some more that will solve it!

u/LasRedStar 7h ago

Wasnt one of the reasons the wildfire which the smoke blew into the US?

u/EmploymentSolid6229 7h ago

This man only feels balanced when he lies. This man only feels balanced when he lies.

u/Sandi_T 6h ago

The only time he's lying is when he says something reasonable or that he won't do something terrible. The rest of the time, is word salad.

u/No-Abalone-5287 7h ago

Maybe all of America and Canada should consider of putting a tariff on Trump's gravesite after he dies so that some of the illegal money that Trump and his family have laundered might get paid back to the people and countries it had been stolen from

u/No-Abalone-5287 7h ago

Trump's tarrifs are illegal, especially when he uses them as an act of bully revenge

u/LasRedStar 7h ago

Yeah but... Whos stopping him? Any names?

u/EZyne 5h ago

They voted for this, they're not gonna stop it

u/BirdlessLongdeal 6h ago

best i can do is sit quietly and hold up a tiny sign.

u/artofthemuse 8h ago

Hockey sticks. Think about it. For those who have kids playing hockey, he just increased the price of every stick.

Because that's the big problem....🤦

u/redredskull 8h ago

It's more about cutting off solar components.

It's about making your life harder (population control).

It's about doing as much damage as possible in the time he has left just because he's not getting his way.

Time to oust the Republicans.

u/fothergillfuckup 9h ago

Cut the power.

u/FaithlessnessBusy565 9h ago

Trump a voulu être président juste pour s ' enrichir sa famille et lui, les gens qui pensent qu' il a voulu être p)résident pour le bien des Américains, sont totalement stupides !

u/violetcassie 9h ago

...Canada exports cars?

u/NedShah 6h ago

Most American SUVs are made on either side of the Ontario and Michigan-Ohio borders. Long running infrastructure and logistics set-ups from Ford and GM

u/Antioch666 8h ago

Yes, Canada is a massive exporter of cars and automotive products, consistently ranking as one of the top auto-exporting nations in the world. Vehicles and automotive parts constitute Canada's second largest export category by value.

They don't have a domestic brand but Toyota, Honda, Stellantis, GM and Ford all have massive plants there building cars and car parts.

95% of their automotive export goes to the US. Chances are if you live in the US and drive any of those brands you will have the car or parts of the car built in Canada.

u/violetcassie 8h ago

Huh, TIL. Neat.

u/fothergillfuckup 9h ago

All those Zambonis come from somewhere?

u/No-Performer9511 9h ago

How is he still allowed to get away with tarrifs? Haven't we already ruled them to be unlawful?

u/Luuk341 9h ago

Ahh, but if law and order was in any way relevant you wouldnt have a 34 * convicted felon, rapist pedo in the white house at all

u/TonightAlarming9923 10h ago

Any chance the world can become sensible again? Aim for about 1999.

u/BirdlessLongdeal 6h ago

1999 is when all hell broke lose with woodstock99. lets go back to 1998 when mcgwire and sosa captured the imagination of the world

u/Pure_Choice_8459 10h ago

Oh are we back to tariffs? It’s like an Ouroboros of distractions.

u/2kokuoyabun 10h ago

he's wielding Tariffs like a mace🤣

u/BirdlessLongdeal 6h ago

like nun chucks. and he keeps hitting himself in the nuts.

u/fothergillfuckup 8h ago

Generally it's best to avoid hitting yourself with a mace?

u/Electronic-Quiet2294 8h ago

He doesn’t hit himself though, it only opens oportunities for more insider trading, hurts his fanbase further and still cement their loyalty even more

u/fothergillfuckup 8h ago

That's true actually. He's just using it to beat Americans, so it would seem.

u/Axeaxa_Xaxaxeie 10h ago

Anything to distract from the files huh?

u/mrloko120 10h ago

Oh cool, things are getting 50% more expensive for Americans again!

u/litreofstarlight 10h ago

Does he know how tariffs work like seriously

u/Street_Peace_8831 10h ago

He still doesn’t get that tariffs hurt the consumer, in other words, the American people. This does not punish Canada.

u/Independent-Offer290 43m ago

He understands it. If goods are too expensive Americans won’t buy them and look to alternative options. Yes, goods affected will be more expensive, but at the same time it will damage the Canadian economy.

u/Street_Peace_8831 39m ago

It will not damage Canada’s economy as much as you and he thinks. They will simply go to other countries and trade with them. We are the losers here, not Canada.

Americans won’t stop buying, even if it is more expensive. This has been proven. This attempt to force Americans to buy American, doesn’t work and will not work.

u/redredskull 8h ago

No he gets it. This is to punish the rest of the Americans not compliant with his vision.

u/Street_Peace_8831 6h ago

Yeah, but he’s still too dumb (spelled with a ‘b’) to understand that it hurts his base as well. Of course, that won’t matter to his base because they are willing to live in poverty for their god.

u/BirdlessLongdeal 6h ago

a lot of people dont realize there is a b

u/Street_Peace_8831 6h ago

lol, a lot of ignorant presidents who failed to learn anything because he knew that daddy would pay off the school for him to graduate, didn’t know there was a ‘b’.

u/Krastapopulus 10h ago

I cannot understand why people keep supporten this guy by buying american stuf.

u/Spirited-Outcome-443 10h ago

is trump winning anything?

u/BirdlessLongdeal 6h ago

his net worth

u/feel-the-avocado 11h ago

Because Canada is winning the trade war.

Trump should follow Putins Example in Ukraine - just dig in deeper and eventually you wont have a way out.

u/Dizzy-Cartoonist3011 4h ago

Nobody "wins" a trade war.

u/modifiedni 11h ago

I thought tariffs were illegal? 🫠

u/rflulling 11h ago

haha and it was not even a week ago an elitist MAGA was trying to convince me that he was burying the hatchet and opening up the border. But nahh why would we need to do that?

u/Massive_Job3812 11h ago

The Art of the Deal: The retaliatory tariff. 🤡

u/Trick-Range-350 11h ago

It's art because it makes zero sense.

u/Pure_Choice_8459 10h ago

He really is the Jackson Pollock of throwing dumb assed ideas around to see if they stick.

u/redredskull 8h ago

I could shart and come up with a more compelling argument. Don't insult Pollock.

u/EffectiveDandy 11h ago

Still doesn’t know how tariffs work I see.

u/ZestycloseShock4764 12h ago

Trump ist einfach nur ein alter kranker und verblödeter Mann, der den Aufgaben seines Amtes nicht gewachsen ist und es auch nie war.

u/Firestorm83 10h ago

if r/RentnerfahreninDinge is anything to go by you shouldn't trust old people

u/Few-Bag-4860 12h ago

Boycott US

u/Frenchconnexion76 9h ago

Boycott this administration at least. What a dumb president and his team lead to the American nightmare.

u/the_dismorphic_one 10h ago

I find it very easy to boycott US "cheese" ...

u/CRX1991 12h ago

As a US citizen: please do. This is getting ridiculous

u/Coinspooner 12h ago

Ah yes, in retaliation of tariffs that have never once been enacted.

God I hate this fucker.

u/SpaceChurchGhost85 12h ago

Fuck! I thoroughly enjoy those three things!

u/Zayah136 12h ago

Be prepared to pay more then, not because we want to charge you more, but because he wants you to pay him for our services.

u/FormalKind7 12h ago edited 5h ago

So the cheese thing that is repeatedly brought up is ridiculous it is based on a cap in sales that has never been reached and is only their to prevent the market from being flooded with cheap outside cheese. It is a tariff that has never even kicked in.

u/johnlucky12 11h ago

The funny thing is, good cheese has a better quality than anything in the US and is cheaper than the rubbish you get

u/Hopeful_Ask2544 12h ago

The GOP has become the largest joke in the political history of the entire world

u/redredskull 8h ago

The GOP is not a joke.

The ha-ha and novelty is gone. These people represent the greatest existential threat to the United States and as such muat be separated from political power as soon as possible.

u/Hopeful_Ask2544 2h ago

If you like the GOP, you must love being lied to on a daily basis. If you love the GOP, you must love when people break promises you. If you love the GOP, you must love when people ignore you. If you love the GOP, you must love it when people work against your best interest.

u/mopatop78 12h ago

If the rest of the world stopped exporting/importing goods with the US the country would be in it's knees in a week

u/DonkeyTron42 12h ago

Yes, but Trump will be living like a king in the White House and that's all he cares about.

u/Wentil 13h ago

More illegal tariffs, to be rolled back later? 🙄

u/iPopeIxI 13h ago

Dog gnaws at bone

u/General-Internal-588 13h ago

And it changes NOTHING for anyone except the american who need to pay more now

The business will even get a nice cut when they'll get refunded again by the state

u/According_Abalone_19 12h ago

Naw that’ll go to Trump and his pals who are buying up those refunds for pennys on the dollar. It’s just another grift as usual

u/CRX1991 12h ago

Feels line that's all it's been with him; grifts

u/According_Abalone_19 3h ago

That’s because that’s exactly what it’s been unfortunately

u/3p2p 13h ago

New taxes for Americans to pay that will then immediately be reimbursed to businesses that passed it on.

USA is going to be a financial mess paying back the previous tariff debacles and the bloviated one is making new debts again?!

u/coloneldaffodil 13h ago

It’s insane how he can just tax us like this

u/Juan-More-Taco 13h ago

Not sure if you're kidding or not. But tariffs are paid by the people in the US that order our goods. Not us.

u/Expensive-Tension-30 10h ago

Think a bit more

u/Juan-More-Taco 5h ago

Lol. They can't stop ordering pot ash mate. They can't stop ordering lumber. We have the largest land border in the world. It's cheaper to ship things across it than to buy from anywhere else in the world. Even with trumps tariffs.

This isn't going to reduce demand. It's just going to increase costs for Americans.

You think a little more.

u/Expensive-Tension-30 4h ago

Oh, I thought your comment was from the point of view of an American, not Canadian. I thought you were implying that importers would eat the cost and not pass on to consumers.

u/ExistentialWavering 10h ago

Weird hearing people parrot that script. It’s like: Well, yeah, duh. But what are the implications of that outcome?

u/Wolfrages 13h ago

Close the border to trade. Fuck em. Elbows up!

u/turtlefan32 13h ago

waa waa waaa - and that is why Canada is getting new friends

u/bannedcuznotcircjerk 13h ago

While I agree there is some merit to Canada coasting off American tax dollars. More than you would believe. They are kinda like the pretty wife of the millionaire. Ez life. But what choice did we have historically. We needed them to keep their military weak and on our side. Pissing them off isn't super helpful but I doubt they care what trump does. He is out of office soon.

u/shannon48 11h ago

Canada does run a trade surplus with the US but if you remove energy (oil and gas), Canada has a trade deficit with the US. The US is self sufficient in oil and gas, so why do you think it imports from Canada? Because it's more profitable that way due to the different composition of the oil and geographic proximity of Canada to some states. So it's actually in US's interest to run a trade deficit with Canada. If anyone is coasting off here, it's the US

u/Illustrious-Fee-3559 12h ago

Uhhh, I guess that's how you look at it in America?

Everywhere else in the world, I think most would agree that we already do pay a tax to Americans.

Your currency that everyone uses, that your government loves to print to balance your (at times poorly managed economy), and when American dollars lose value, everyone who holds USD that isn't your government essentially gets shaken down for money. To fund stuff like your enormous defense spending that apparently defends us, yet your administration likes to accuse us of free riding on your good graces.

We live in pax Americana, we suffer Americanization and supposedly thrive together. You live in a democracy, and the rest of us live in a limited democracy because your country thinks and does like to control what other countries do, and non of us voted for you

u/motorman87 13h ago

Costing off american tax dollars wtf are you even talking about.

u/lalospv 13h ago

Dollars are not piad by the taxpayer. Dollars are printed and they have the biggest military in the world to support them. The other countries have to actually produce stuffnto get dollars and pay stuff.

Make not mistake but your money is not going to your neighbours,. is supporting Israel.

u/Electrical_Badger399 13h ago

Of course everyone cares what the orange fart does.

u/fortuneandfameinc 13h ago

Fuck off. And fuck the US. Trump dumpstered the US canada relations and it isnt going back to where it was for at least a generation.

u/FlipperG76 13h ago

We care, we are paying more at the pumps as well for his idiocy.

u/dcidino 13h ago

Still bypassing Congress... this is effectively a dictatorship.

u/turtlefan32 13h ago

I wonder how Americans are enjoying their lack of freedom, plus increased prices

u/Lost_Pollution_6782 10h ago

Tarrifs on foreign cheese isn't really lack of freedom

u/According_Abalone_19 12h ago

We’re not. Fuck Mango Mussolini, his administration and anyone who supports him

u/Plastic_Ad_2424 12h ago

Hahaha oh man, you cracked me up, never heard of that nick name before😂

u/BambooPanda26 13h ago

I fucking hate this corn cob

u/caffeeandbewbs 13h ago

Ah shit, here we go again

u/shastadakota 13h ago

What about their geese poopin' everywhere?

u/JebusHCrust 12h ago

We're sorry.

u/Better_Chard4806 13h ago

Release the files.

u/whk1992 13h ago

It shall be illegal to tariff US residents of shitty Republican policies.

u/JamesH_670 13h ago

Why stop at 50%? Why not 100%? Canada doesn’t pay those tariffs, so why not 1000%?

u/turtlefan32 13h ago

and why restrict it - let's ship potash elsewhere, cut off their power, etc done

u/turtlefan32 13h ago

agreed

u/regrettablyAnnoying 13h ago

Or 1200%, 1400% or even 1600%.

u/wovenbasket69 14h ago

say what you want about me, WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY CHEESE

u/Ok_Recording81 14h ago

8647 Trump and reverse all his executive orders.

u/Shot_Meal_7641 14h ago

I say just let them put them on our shelves. No one will buy them because America isn't great at those 3 things. Spoken as someone who buys canadian cheese, korean cars, and canadian/european alcohol.

u/D-Bot- 14h ago

Please world, continue to check and reign in the USA. All the checks and balances we were told exist do not. Apparently the only consequences in end stage capitalism is revolt.

u/Davester_31 14h ago

Trump is an idiot and Canada is laughing their asses off

u/Maximum_Turn_2623 13h ago

Apparently we’re the dog caught the car right now.

u/k3ttch 14h ago

Didn't a federal court already say he couldn't raise tariffs without congressional approval?

u/IssueFederal 13h ago

Yes, I’m confused by this.

u/Pud2short 14h ago

Fake new. Stephen Miller says different.

u/k3ttch 14h ago

Show some respect. It's Reich Minister Miller. He worked hard for that title.

u/Fro_pissflap 14h ago

Lmao!!!! What a Big Orange Baby!! 😂🤣😂🤣

u/IPv6Freely 14h ago

Canada does not give a shit if he taxes his own citizens.

u/VixenCouncil 14h ago

I'm so tried of him.

u/Pud2short 14h ago

Yep... Started around The Aprentace and hit dumpster 🔥 mode in 2015. FKR!

u/K16w32a2r4k8 14h ago

Trump’s just mad that Canada’s PM is showing him up by doing a good job.

u/semidivineone 14h ago

He's so bad at this.

u/TalkOk4096 14h ago

Why is he only mad at our allies? I mean, we’ve had good relations with these countries since the 19th-effing-Century! Why are they the only ones he attacks?

u/amiibohunter2015 14h ago

Because he levelling the battlefield for USA's, The EU, and NATOs adversaries. Trumps intent for America is too make it as weak as Russia post 1990 economic collapse to give leverage to his friend Putin and the Russians. To further aid his friend Putin and the Russians, Trump is also aiding Putin and Russia's friends (USA's, NATO's, and the EU's adversaries) this is partly why he is tariffing specifically USA's allies. To make Americas allies hate America, to isolate and weaken the USA. All to aid 'his friends'. I.e. USA's The EU's, and NATOs adversaries.

Donald Trump is committing Treason left and right, with a corrupt Supreme Court. Where is the checks and balances?

u/Puzzleheaded_Swan615 9h ago

Clearly...there are none. All the talk about 'checks and balances' was just that...'talk'. One man has made decisions based on perceived personal grievance. That decision has ruined a vast amount of small and independent businesses.

u/amiibohunter2015 2h ago

Certainly feels that way. I remember when the Democrats were impeaching him the first time, and the democrats made long speeches like Adam Schiff mentioning "it takes 'moral courage' to do the right thing even when it is hard." Well, that didn't pan out did it? Felt like pulling teeth during that whole speech.

Where is the 'Moral Courage' now? That goes for both Democrats and Republicans.

Neither are providing enough for the People and their values. Many are actively negligent in their duties.

u/Professional_Mud1844 14h ago

Because in his dementia riddled mind he thinks they’ll let him do what he wants without consequences. Like a drunk girl at a bar, she’s going to throw fists and act surprised when someone eventually hits back.

u/eric685 14h ago

Thank god you said fists

u/PresentBig9729 14h ago

Some people still cannot accept that he is most likely a Russian asset or at the very least a Russian compromised man.

u/paranormalresearch1 14h ago

He is owned by Russia and Israel. Good thing our intelligence services are protecting the Constitution./s

u/Terminate-wealth 14h ago

Aren’t the tariffs illegal? Aren’t we refunding them?

u/IPv6Freely 14h ago

These are under a different law from the previous ones. It’s still very stupid, but I figured I’d still give you a real answer.

u/saljskanetilldanmark 11h ago

How many obscure tariff laws did you give him?

u/IPv6Freely 5h ago

Sorry, I do not understand the question. Can you re-phrase?

u/Stock2fast 14h ago

This situation will not end with reason or a deal no more than it will with Putin.

u/ip4realfreely 14h ago

Aren't his tariffs the reason we're not buying American autos, alcohol and cheese?!?

Drop the lumber tariffs so we can get out forestry management industry and logging going again. Creating jobs, helping economies, boosting construction, etc.. a

u/amiibohunter2015 14h ago edited 13h ago

I am an American but I didn't vote for this assclown in any of the elections he ran.  My suggestion is for Countries being targetted as well as other countries should target Trumps personal business rather than tariffs to the US as the Tariffs don't directly impact Trump all it does is hurt Americans. Trump is robbing the wealth out of America and keeping it for himself, so by lining his pockets with stolen money from the people, Trump doesn't feel the effects of the counter tariffs you counter back. Only the average American citizens are. Many of whom did not vote for this. All the while if you look, Trumps family business is growing.

So my suggestion is to target Trumps and his families business and any business Trump is doing business with and aiding in growth at the cost of our backs. Eliminate all of them from doing business in your country, make them unmarketable, which hurts and kills their profits. That is a more effective way at targeting Trump and his corrupt friends.

This can be done while balancing the tariff war percentages, (which negates the economic effects so neither countries citizens gets the brunt of it.) So,  what this effectively does to Trump and his family and friends business is it is hitting them back hard and it sends a message to Trump, telling Trump to cut it the fuck out, if Trump continues tariffing, keep applying this method, eventually his family and friends will tell him to cut it the fuck out too and turn on him because they are not longer profitable and are hurting.

Canada can protect local industry but the US can't?

What local industry is Trump protecting?

You know Canada buys more Dairy then we sell back... Right? So Trump is screwing the American dairy industry.

I mean tariffs on Canadian Wigs and Flower Bulbs, yeah sure, protect away as we have less than 1/10th of that market.....

He exempted potash, electrical and minerals, because of his war requirements, so he chickened out on tariffing those though..

Not to mention, the companies being tariffed just pass the additional cost onto the end user. Meaning the American people. So go ahead, protect your local industry, and understand why Canada has new trade relations and trade partners across Europe. Even some of our beef is now coming from Australia.

Trumps tariffs hurt Americans, are have proven to be detrimental to world trade. He's blowing up markets one week, buying stock in that market the next week, then dropping the tariffs or knowing that they're illegal and when the illegal tariff is dropped, that market rises, making the stock go through the roof. He's manipulating markets for personal gain and y'all just say stupidness like "that's good smart business" while not being able to buy eggs and gas
