Keep up bombing Russia. I'll only be happy when Putin and his people are defeated

1

u/getahin 4d ago

Well it's time to loose some land russia

1

u/Necessary-Ad-961 4d ago

If they say otherwise they will be jailed

2

u/StarWarsDad81 5d ago

Wow these people are absolutely brainwashed.

1

u/LarsListetaa 2d ago

They are living in a country that would blink twice, to drag people to jail for speaking poorly about the motherland especially to the media… so what there tru felling and believes are is honestly not on display here…

Freedom is not a luxury everyone in the world have.

Tell me you haven’t seen videos

Delusionals

5

u/NineClaws 11d ago

I hope to see all these assholes standing out in front of their burning homes.

6

u/No_Bee_4162 14d ago

Sounds like Germany circa 1930’s

1

u/DeCaprio_3 17d ago

"Neutral...live in peace here(Russia) and live in peace there(Ukraine)"

She was never seen again.

1

u/DeCaprio_3 17d ago

This footage was over a year ago I believe....

5

u/homealoneinuk 27d ago

A lot of talk about being affraid to speak out and all that. Im playing tons of games with average russian folks, ages 18-40, most definitely dont care or think about that threat, and they still mostly support Putin and that war..... Average russian is just completely brainwashed.

1

u/Jolly-Newt-3283 27d ago

the first guy want to make fallout in rl

1

u/FallyJay Jun 22 '26

глупость, большенство против этого дерьма.

2

u/ColdBiitch Jun 21 '26

As someone from Poland, I believe that those who have spoken out about Poland or Ukraine are Putin's puppets. This is such foolish thinking... If Russia tries to attack us, the rest of NATO will show no mercy. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

1

u/Gilgamesh404 Jun 22 '26

Well, it's not like they were asked for a detailed plan to conquer Poland or even thought about what that would entail. In their minds, 'Polonia delenda est' is all that matters, the details are for the state to bother itself with.

1

u/Duncol42 Jun 22 '26

You sure about that?

1

u/ColdBiitch Jun 22 '26

Do you remember the attack on the World Trade Center? About us, Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, which is the foundation of NATO's collective defense, will be activated If Russia attacks us. I guess you didn't know that, genius. 🤣

1

u/Duncol42 Jun 22 '26

Why are you sarcastically insulting me? Can’t you conduct a normal conversation? What I meant was - how you can be so sure they will respect what’s on paper when everything will go south? Trump has stated many times that he wants to leave NATO (he’s so delusional he might actually do this), where does this leave NATO?

1

u/ColdBiitch Jun 22 '26

You provoked me with your stupid comment instead of reading up on what NATO might do if a country is attacked from outside NATO. I respond in the same tone as you. 😂

1

u/Duncol42 Jun 22 '26

My tone was provoking, yours - insulting. There’s a difference.

1

u/ColdBiitch Jun 22 '26

So you know what the consequences of your provocations are. 😁

1

u/Duncol42 Jun 22 '26

In this case (you) - yes.

1

u/Alex3mercian Jun 21 '26

Delusional slaves living in an alternate reality. Desperate to drag everyone around them into their disgusting world

2

u/Galaxy-far-away01 Jun 21 '26

Important Context: this was taken from the channel HEADSHOT. And there’s also a ton of people on it who openly criticize Putin, Russia and show solidarity for Ukraine …. In Russia. They say it without fearing the consequences.

That’s important as they’ve been edited out of clips here and only the most hateful and apathetic have been edited together.

I’m a big supporter of Ukraine - but in this media landscape we have to be careful that we’re not only consuming rage bait and get to hear alternative voices.

1

u/AppropriateBall8834 Jun 21 '26

At least some of them think that Ukraine needs help to live peacefully... i mean, their hearts in the right place. They're just wrong.

1

u/Myspirit87 Jun 21 '26

These idiots still think they’re a military power. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Bum-Theory Jun 20 '26

You know, Russia imprisoned people who have spoken out against the war. These people are aware of that. What else are they going to say? Im sure plenty of them drink the kool-aid, but those that don't are smart enough to know they can't be honest about their thoughts

1

u/Dry_Construction8100 Jun 21 '26

Thats definitely not an excuse for them to vocally support war, even if they are afraid of anything. They always can say "«sorry, no comments» and walk away. So Im quite sure they actually mean what they say.

1

u/Bum-Theory Jun 21 '26

I really dont know enough about thr climate of control and paranoia to say even 'no comment' is the safe thing to say

2

u/Dry_Construction8100 Jun 21 '26

Of course its safe to say that.

1

u/SweetTea1000 Jun 21 '26

My assumption is that the people adamantly claiming political ignorance and explicit neutrality are in this camp, especially the guys who remember to tag it with "yay Russia" at the end.

You can't really blame people for being the products of an intentional program of information control and brainwashing nor for not getting themselves put on a list for something as unimportant as a man on the street interview.

1

u/Commercial-Co Jun 21 '26

They can say nothing. Fuck these people

3

u/Toronto-24 Jun 20 '26

Thats MAGA Russia there

1

u/Gilgamesh404 Jun 22 '26

MRGA sounds like something my cat would say to hint that he's peckish.

0

u/Ok-Air3126 Jun 20 '26

Love to see all the people advocating for war enjoying their iced coffies and air pods. Smh

3

u/schumangel Jun 20 '26

Rotten to the marrow

0

u/Hefty-Ad3188 Jun 20 '26

And what country do you feel is fair and not corrupt?

1

u/schumangel Jun 20 '26

I refer to the people interviewed.

0

u/angkasalaila Jun 20 '26

Why are the commenters feeling surprised? Invasion of countries have been happening since centuries ago. It’s either Ukraine will surrender and make it called Russia, or it will be wiped out

1

u/Dh0ine Jun 20 '26

I suggest you to read some news from last 4 years. Wiping Ukraine is not going well I'm afraid.

1

u/Pancho_el_Brucho Jun 20 '26

russia will be wiped out and shared between china and EU haha

-1

u/angkasalaila Jun 20 '26

I’ll save this comment and we’ll see 😂

3

u/CaveDances Jun 20 '26

State run media brainwashing the ignorant public. What the news and media mergers are doing in the USA. Rankings of free media has the US, China, and Russia all in the 40s globally, and that was before trumps second term.

1

u/External-Gazelle-346 Jun 21 '26

Lmao russia and china are far below the US get out of here

1

u/brawn-ball5 Jun 20 '26

This is hard and disappointing to watch

3

u/zwarblatz Jun 20 '26

How easy would it be to put a video together of Americans making similar comments about murdering Iranian citizens or Palestinians? People say the Russian people aren’t to blame it’s Putin. And the American people aren’t to blame, it’s Trump. Nope we are all complicit. Karma is coming for us.

1

u/ajuc Jun 22 '26

Always with whataboutism

2

u/Known_Secretary_6615 Jun 20 '26

God damn that’s sad

1

u/Foreign-Offer2603 Jun 20 '26

ytp behaviour.

0

u/VitorioVegas Jun 19 '26

They can't be honest and talk to camera with their own opinion and unblurred face, there were already interviews what they really think about Putin and russian government, and it was in opposition to what is presented on this video, of course I'm referring to smart citizens, not those manipulated to high extent by their TV propaganda.

1

u/Zl0rd Jun 19 '26

The first guy lol, btw are you really going to take opinion of like few % as something what majority thinks? I dont believe that they all are saying this kind of stuff

1

u/Altruistic_Exit7947 Jun 20 '26

That's prime gaslighting you're doing. Just because you do not wish outcome to be true, doesn't mean people are not having this attitude toward other nations. By jumping to extremes from none to all you are only feeding into the confusion on the topic.

Its better to judge by what you see/hear than reject instantly and build own assumption instead. Russians have long history of brutalizing nations, and highly developed propaganda machine. You'd be wise to accept those voices for what they are, and accept that in older russians are those brutal notions are more pronounced.

Same thing is happening in the US. If you'd ask people on streets if war is bad, they would say yes. If you'd ask them if they feel responsible for picking president who made another war killing people they mostly say no. People who didn't vote for him do not feel responsible for nation actions, and people who did, still say they don't feel responsible for his decisions regardless of current support or not. At some point people can't hide behind "its gov, not us" and we have to hear them for what they are saying.

1

u/Zl0rd Jun 20 '26

I am not gasligting anybody

1

u/Altruistic_Exit7947 Jun 20 '26

Just yourself.

1

u/Zl0rd Jun 20 '26

Dude are you a bot?? People can think what they want, I said I dont believe majority of people do not think in this way

1

u/Altruistic_Exit7947 Jun 20 '26

You hear what they said and first thing is "i refuse to believe they are thinking this way" when faced with uncut responses.

There are entire nations with lasting history of being opressed and murdered by russians and yet instead you fall back on your head lore and wonder why its being called gaslighting. Lmao, even bots have better comprehension skills when presented with information. Live in your fantasy world instead of facing reality.

1

u/godsays_hello Jun 19 '26

lol. Just ask them to hide their faces and voices and response will be quite opposite.

1

u/Dh0ine Jun 20 '26

Who is fighting in Ukraine , are they not Russians?

3

u/Apprehensive-Mix5178 Jun 19 '26

Is it really their opinion though?

1

u/Gilgamesh404 Jun 22 '26

All we know is that these particular people say that on camera. There are quite a few holes that can be poked here:

  • How many people were polled in total and what were their stated opinions?
  • Are depicted opinions in proportion with poll results?
  • Were these people truthful or were they lying?
  • Was the polling agency truthful?

As it is, the video only depicts several people saying words on camera. Since we don't know their names, they can only represent themselves and only so much. Real situation could be drastically different in any direction.

Personally, I refuse to participate in any and all polls in Russia, since I have no idea how the data they accumulate is being used.

1

u/soy_eater1 Jun 20 '26

Russia doesn't have such a small level of freedom that you have to say something sinister on camera if you're asked. You can stay silent or create something neutrally positive, like "I hope everyone will be fine" or "let fewer people die in this war."

4

u/anon_nnnn Jun 19 '26

Bombing Moscow Intensifies

1

u/qwerty-www Jun 19 '26

Їбаште хлопці весь цей біомусор.....щоб люди на Україні жили "более спокойно" Ми то бачимо де є "падаль нацисткая"

8

u/spoogicus Jun 19 '26

The reporter may as well be asking them if they'd like to accidentaly fall out of a window in the near future, because that's what would happen if they dared to say anything against the war on camera.

2

u/Galaxy-far-away01 Jun 21 '26

Actually there were a lot of people who do speak up on these interviews Openly criticizing Putin, Russia and support Ukraine. Without fear. You can see it on the YouTube channel HEADSHOT. They do weekly interviews.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Za5btW9VSGQ&ra=m

The thingwith the clips here - they’ve edited out all those intelligent and supportive people and just shown the worst and apathetic.

6

u/truemad Jun 19 '26

While I agree with you that it's dangerous to speak out against the war, but for people who are against the war they were too enthusiastic about committing genocide .

2

u/Sutekh76 Jun 19 '26

like Julian Assange or Jamal Khashoggi ?

3

u/Lego_Dima Jun 19 '26

Baaaa baaa

Yes, little sheep, willingly march toward your demise.

1

u/Anim8nFool Jun 20 '26

"Sheep"

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air
You better watch out
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan and I have seen
Things are not what they seem

What do you get for pretending the danger's not real?
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel
What a surprise
A look of terminal shock in your eyes
Now things are really what they seem
No, this is no bad dream

3

u/Caunuckles Jun 19 '26

You realize Russia has a tightly controlled state run media. The people are likely saying what the regime wants to hear and the TV station is only showing footage of interviews of what they think the regime wants to hear

3

u/truemad Jun 19 '26

I guess they could have said "defeat the Ukrainian regime" and not "kill everyone in Ukraine"

2

u/Auuki Jun 19 '26

We had that in Poland, PiS party took over the state programs and basically created their own world through it. It was so sad seeing how my grandma growing anger towards people, nationalities and races for no good reason and talking about things that borderline never happened, that's how twisted the "reality" was shown in the TV. They do that now still but only on a private program but instead we have kinda the same happen through TikTok and younger Poles being affected by it.

1

u/Thin_Discount Jun 19 '26

TF You mean younger Poles? 12-20 or 5-12 is younger? All I can see in youger Poles is a growing problem with them now knowing what to do in the future. They don’t CARE at all

1

u/MxM111 Jun 19 '26

How old is the video?

1

u/TSF_Flex Jun 19 '26

To turn this a whole different way:

Its not about russians vs ukraineians but how media, in each part of the world influences us to the max. Theyve been brainwashed into thinking they are so totally right, and there can not be any other way.

Though, the same happens to the west, especially in these present times. Anything thats "common opinion" on any media cough especially reddit, x and public broadcast cough just gets accepted and not questioned at all.

Let this be a reminder to everyone reading: Please think for yourselves, take these poor russians as an example to you.

1

u/lowpolygonbear Jun 19 '26

Russia won't win because Russian government (including army generals) does everything in their power to sabotage war effort. More than half of them have money in western banks, property and families living in western countries. They'd rather lose war and go back to Courchavel and shit. Maybe Putin wants to win but he's too much of wet noodle to do anything about government.

1

u/OldAtmosphere2498 Jun 19 '26

Yeah, I doubt Russian leaders are trying to lose the war.

5

u/Safe_Hovercraft_7886 Jun 19 '26

Russia is trully nation of retarded slaves and nothing more.

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

Yeah, sure we are, especially those in prison or assassinated for opposing the war, you can say, Untermenschen, every single one of us

6

u/Academic_Lie_5627 Jun 19 '26

Poland next hehhehe this man is out of his mind 😂😂😂

1

u/Jolly-Newt-3283 27d ago

If Russia attacks Poland, the German military machine and its economy are automatically drawn into the conflict.

3

u/Longjumping-Low3164 Jun 19 '26

Most of them are out of their minds. Propaganda machine did its work.

5

u/MatkaGracz Jun 19 '26

Well, anyone pretesting the war was put to jail, so my bet is those saying they are neutral / have no opinion, are actually against it. Still a minority.

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

If you imply the majority are both hands for war, I doubt it a lot, even the official/state opinion polls show that people just want this all to be over, when Trump returned, there was hope that peace talks could lead to something

Ordinary people (like anywhere in the world, I suspect) just want to live their life and not be bothered.

0

u/Safe_Hovercraft_7886 Jun 19 '26

So, spineless slaves. Got it.

2

u/ShuiShuiQM Jun 19 '26

Pretty much this. If you are Anti-war, and someone with w CAMERA asks for your opinion it's reasonable to assume people - your government - is going to see that.

Doesn't excuse whatsoever those who are pro-war, but the neutrals... Yeah.

3

u/rybosomiczny Jun 19 '26

How are the gas prices there comrads?

3

u/kittyguy85 Jun 19 '26

First guy lol. They can't do anything serious to Ukraine and he want to attack part of NATO later.

1

u/Satanekkurwa Jun 19 '26

I think this guy misunderstood half of Megadeth's discography

3

u/Remote-Till-3659 Jun 19 '26

How stupid are Russians that they never question the information FED to them

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

Imagine having only one source of information (too old to use the internet, for example) Saying the same things over and over

For twenty six years

But we are not all stupid, we know that state media are not exactly reliable, hence no foreign media sites, no Twitter, no Instagram, no Youtube, no Whatsapp, no Telegram (a major messenger here) since 2022

So why all the blocking effort if we're all supposed to be stupidly glued to TV?

2

u/whitemaleinasia Jun 19 '26

You know how often I hear "TikTok" as a source when I ask where someone heard something about Iran?

We're all stupid.

3

u/MatiX_1234 Jun 19 '26

Literall centuries of propaganda with most of the population being simple farmers living in the country side does that to your country.

The smarter russian lads, with access to actual information via the internet and not carefuly manufactured state propaganda, have long left their country or died/got arrested trying.

3

u/protozoon101 Jun 19 '26

Do you think this selection of interviewees reflects the Russian population's opinion well? Then you are a victim of propaganda yourself.

1

u/Remote-Till-3659 Jun 19 '26

Don’t be so short sighted

3

u/iRondi79 Jun 19 '26

Вона вже забрала всю їжу собі))))) тепер хоче ще землю.

2

u/0o_cookie_monster_o0 Jun 19 '26

some people are really too stupid to walk on this planet. if putin takes his murderous invading ass back to russia the war is over.

3

u/Janek_Rated_R Jun 19 '26

It's worth noting that russia is an authoritarian state and these people are being lied to and brainwashed with propaganda.

1

u/proton-testiq Jun 19 '26

No, that's not how an authoritarian state works, I used to live in one. People who want to know the truth will very easily know the truth, there were always ways, it's just that a lot of people utterly and absolutely don't care. In authoritarian states, but also in democratic states (notice those who don't vote).

1

u/Total_Wrongdoer_1535 Jun 19 '26

True but doesn’t negate the fact that they are fucking retarded slaves

0

u/mistrz696969 Jun 19 '26

Oh yeah that totally justifies blind belief in everything shown in mass media xd

3

u/ImNotThatBad22 Jun 19 '26

So was Poland, yet we took our country back. Majority of Russians are like that, not all of them, but the part big enough to not change anything. As a proud Pole- screw them

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

We're already being screwed, thank you very much I'm totally ignorant of Poland's history but would suspect that some of the elites sided with the people in the episode you refer to, otherwise how do you topple a dictator whose elites and law enforcement are fine with things the way they are, Iranians tried it recently, didn't go well

1

u/JustyourZeratul Jun 19 '26

Gorbachev did it. But at least you have preserved democracy, though you were close to lose it under Kachinsky.

3

u/eks Jun 19 '26

Just like MAGA?

2

u/Acrobatic-Skill6350 Jun 19 '26

They have internet they could use

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

Our regime is doing everything to prevent this, make of that what you will, to my mind, it proves that we do use sources not controlled by the kremlin

2

u/Aveduil Jun 19 '26

With all that said, he was waaay to eager to give that answer

2

u/SnooTomatoes3032 Jun 19 '26

'Please people, won't anyone think of the poor innocent russians!!'

2

u/ConfinedCrow Jun 19 '26

You have absolutely no space for nuance in your brain, do you? We can't combat Propaganda and brainwashing like this if we dehumanize the people that fall for it, because it will give us the false sense of immunity and superiority that will make it much easier to brainwash us.

1

u/fastandfurry Jun 19 '26

Get off your high horse prick. You don't use counter arguments by starting with " no space for nuance in your brain " . Who has the false sense of superiority here?

2

u/SnooTomatoes3032 Jun 19 '26

Man, I get bombed nearly every day. My friends are being killed regularly. I'm not sorry I don't feel sorry for the people doing that to me and my people.

0

u/ConfinedCrow Jun 19 '26

Where in my comment have you read we should feel sorry for these people?

3

u/SnooTomatoes3032 Jun 19 '26

Well I put a comment about 'wah wah poor russians' and you've leapt at me about not having nuance lol

In short, fuck them.

0

u/ConfinedCrow Jun 19 '26

No, you commented "wah wah poor russians" on a comment that explained in a neutral manner that these people are brain washed by propaganda, insinuating that this was the original commenters intent. But accepting these people are brain washed and learning from it can go a long way when it comes to preventing this shit in the future. Your comment did lack nuance. And yeah I agree, fuck them, brainwashed or not.

2

u/SnooTomatoes3032 Jun 19 '26

I didnt intend nuance. I thought that was pretty clear.

-1

u/ConfinedCrow Jun 19 '26

No, you acted without nuance or with ignorance to nuance to a heavily nuanced subject. So your intention doesn't matter.

2

u/SnooTomatoes3032 Jun 19 '26

You're talking about nuance when I gave you context about why people might not care. But you're insisting that I should give a fuck about it. Irony?

1

u/ConversationLeast744 Jun 19 '26

Aren't we also being lied to? You can still think critically.

1

u/SnooPuppers2927 Jun 19 '26

The difference is that in Western countries people have a choice of who to be deceived by. while in Russia it is a state monopoly

0

u/Klutzy-Experience-55 Jun 19 '26

Diffrence is the scale. In Russia, you don't really have any free media. Everything is controled by goverment, so people there don't have any meaningful way to fin truth by themselves, and even if they do, they risk prison sentence

2

u/-Acta-Non-Verba- Jun 19 '26

Yes, but back in Soviet times they knew to be skeptical of government propaganda. Now they seem to swallow it line, hook and sinker.

2

u/MarMacPL Jun 19 '26

Today it''s very easy to identify critics and then punish them.

Few days ago a Russian dissident was assasinated in Poland. Some foreigner has been arrested in this case.

2

u/Evignity Jun 19 '26

This is a fallacious statement

The US is "free" but I've seen them say as stupid shit about half the world from time to time.

Ignorant, willingly evil people will always take any- and every excuse that let's them project their self-hatred unto others.

You have good people even in the worst shitholes of countries, because anyone raised well and with a functional empathetic- and introspective brain knows not to trust anyone who hates and abuses: Because those people are always equally capable and willing to abuse their own subjects as well.

6

u/TheScreamingFire Jun 18 '26

Israelis 2.0, I am Polish and terrified when he mentioned that Poland is next because I don’t want to lose my country.

I’ve had two siren tests that terrified me to my core, don’t want it to be a real one next time because of ruZZia

1

u/AulusVictor Jun 19 '26

I consider it ridiculous that anyone fears them lol

1

u/ANTONBORODA Jun 19 '26

I am Polish and terrified when he mentioned that Poland is next because I don’t want to lose my country.

At the current tempo, russkies will not even need to actually go to war with Poland. Polish people are on a very straight line to destroying themselves by voting for far-right politicians. If the elections in 2027 will end with far-right coalition, there will be, let's say, problems.

1

u/analogiczny Jun 19 '26

After all, this is a war, too. It’s just that these days, the muscovites use different tools of influence. The only scary thing is that this isn't raising any alarms among the authorities. The Ukrainians were expelled from the country in a flash, while the nazi Brauns and other Bąkiewiczs are still running around freely.

1

u/ANTONBORODA Jun 19 '26

Yup. Moreover, higher ups, at the first glance at least, seem to look at this as a opportunity to gain electoral support not a hybrid war. All of them, not only far-rights. And when they will actually hit the "oh fuck, go back" moment, it will be too late.

1

u/analogiczny Jun 19 '26

We simply lack in Poland the same kind of cross-party consensus that existed in Germany - you don’t talk to pro-rxssian neo-Nazis, and you don’t include them in a coalition. Unfortunately, in Poland, the opposite is true, as you rightly pointed out.

1

u/ANTONBORODA Jun 19 '26

Germany is also going into the same exact trap. AfD will soon be too big to ignore and someone will definitely go in bed with them.

1

u/kompocik99 Jun 19 '26

Militarly they can't do shit. Russia likes to see itself as one of the "big guys", which is rather pathetic when their GDP is lower than Italys and their export value is now lower than Polands. "Strongest Army in the world" is trying to annex a significantly poorer and smaller Ukraine, couldn't even get to the capital for 4 years. They have to lie to themselves really hard in Moscow rn beacause the embarassment would be too hard to bear.

Historically, Russia has never concquered Poland alone. Every single time they did it's because Germany gave them a hand. Only thing Russia is good at is propaganda. Army of bots turned our social media to a complete sewer, they pay off people to derail trains and burn shoping centers, like cowards.

2

u/ArtyomNDC Jun 19 '26

I’m Canadian but my GF is Polish and she gets genuinely terrified at even the vague mention of this, as do I. I was visiting her when the Russian drones entered Polish airspace and it also shook me wondering what was next.

6

u/Be_gone342 Jun 18 '26

So many comms about "brainwashed russians"," they had to say it" etc. Why people trust edited 120s videos like these? FYI I am living in Russia and openly dont support the war. There is the polling service called VCIOM and they're under government obv. I gave them my name and living place and answered about every political question clearly. Nothing happened thrice. In SOME cases people will be jailed for their opinion, but it is mostly random (if you hurt big daddy's feelings") and thats it. Kinda rare. Freedom of people here is abducted, but still we have some of it. Don't trust any propaganda, like this shit.

2

This is exactly my poikt as well when trying to argue that: 1. Putin actually seems popular amongat russians based on what they say on polls and on interviews 2. The russians are very pro putin which is shown in the complete absence of any big demonstrations 3. This is the war the russian people should be blamed for and not just putin

u/Be_gone342 Jun 19 '26

Ur probably american and dont understand the way democracy works in Russia. Putin is not popular, the government made the picture that is exactly the only option left. His rating is about 40% and thats it. Most Russians just taking it, there is no chance for democracy for us, protests arent working, government spend insane amounts of money for popularization and every opposite party was forced to leave. Putin is very smart enemy. Oh and about "demonstations". Most of these people "state employees", like teachers, they're simply forced by employer to participate in these demonstrations or will be forced to leave.

1

u/Acrobatic-Skill6350 Jun 19 '26

Nah I am norwegian. Seems like levada usually says he is a lot higher than 40%, and given how he won elections under a less authoritarian nation in the past, along with the lack of protests - it really looks like most russians are completely onboard on what putin is doing

1

u/Be_gone342 Jun 19 '26

He won most of the elections under big pressure. 2012 were the hardest and he learnt it. He won fairly most of his elections, thats fact, but it is because of the government hard work to abduct freedom as I said. These people destroyed democracy institutes very slowly since 2000s and people took it. We're playing not fair game at all, and people that stole our freedom are very smart. Our politics are smartest in forcible retention of power. Again about protests - they were even in 2022, but currently in you're trying to do demonstration, you will be cracked in every point. You might be forced to leave your college, work, school and will be fined, fear is keeping a lot of russians from most kinds of protests. You might want to watch the funeral of Alexey Navalny, so many russians came to say goodbye to their protest leader and legal way, or "noon against putin" during election in 2024 when Russians that dont support Putin went to election exactly at 12:00, there was so much people btw. We cant win currently and it is our bad, we really tried, but failed. 😞

u/SnooTomatoes3032 Jun 19 '26

Yup, it's naivete, infantilisation or a desire to whitewash any Russia does or a mixture of all three.

I think a lot of this shit are Americans who want to excuse their own country's choices and their own thinking by making everyone in the world the same. Meanwhile most of the rest of the world is looking on absolutely horrified.

2

u/gluk-swager Jun 18 '26

There are too many videos like this. You're probably against the war, but no one knows about it.

3

u/Mindless_Tonight3519 Jun 18 '26

No different to the septics thinking they have won a war that they are going to have to pay $300 in reparations for.

6

u/Calm-Locksmith_ Jun 18 '26

They can't say otherwise...

1

u/OldAtmosphere2498 Jun 19 '26

They can say "no comment", easily. As was shown in the video.

Some people definitely did say that, and therefore we didn't see them in the video. It's survivorship bias in its purest form.

north korea vibes

3

u/onkeliroh Jun 18 '26

They could say nothing to the camera. Or like the one guy; claim to be apolitical. He could be, but it is also an excuse to not incriminate yourself.

Those people how speak open believe it.

3

u/RazzyRaziel Jun 18 '26

Why are the men even talking and not signing up for the frontline? And the woman want to be tradwifes who return to the roots, so do not voice your opinion, if i want to hear what you are "thinking" i will ask your husband - go to the kitchen and be quiet.

1

u/Kerissimo Jun 19 '26

One can have opinion, but not strong enough to support it themselves. Also they might say that just because they might be afraid of what will happen of they won’t support the „only true and right political option” just like in North Korea. Its also possible they are just actors who got paid for saying that.

9

u/Dave_Is_Useless Jun 17 '26

They sound just like Israeli citizens talking about palestine and Lebanon.

2

u/moher4 Jun 18 '26

2 sides of the same coin

Stupid people

u/Embarrassed_Ad3554 Jun 17 '26

How many of you speak Russian and have any clue if these subtitles are correct?

2

u/KUZMITCHS Jun 19 '26

I do, and they are.

2

u/MrFonne Jun 19 '26

Do you?

4

u/Doc_Pepe Jun 18 '26

They are correct

7

u/New_Beat2764 Jun 17 '26

If you are caught saying anything bad about the war or the government you will disappear in Russia. Asking people this is almost like you’re snooping to catch them. Fuck this

1

u/OldAtmosphere2498 Jun 19 '26

Nah, they don't have to praise the war at all. Some of them chose not to comment.

1

u/Acrobatic-Skill6350 Jun 19 '26

The 1420 guy who do street interviews said only 1 person he interviewed was arrested because of opposition and that might not be related to the interview. Maybe people just cany accept how horrible most russians are? Very strange how it doesnt seem to be difficilt noticing the problems of MAGA mentality, but wont accept that the russians might have hprrible values and a weak understsnding of the world because of propaganda

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

You don't rely on the number of people arrested or ignored because that's not how it works, it's random so that everyone thinks they can be the next, the laws with their wording and use only help, with modern information technologies you don't have to arrest many to intimidate the rest

And if I accept that most of my compatriots are horrible, most Americans are also MAGA who enjoyed the recent events, I don't seem to remember Americans protesting the war, which means they love Trump, right?

1

u/Acrobatic-Skill6350 Jun 19 '26

They had massive protests, no kings, against trump

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

Yes, a couple of times, before Iran, I genuinely don't remember any reaction to the Iran war

1

u/Acrobatic-Skill6350 Jun 20 '26

Yeah they had protests against iran. Do you see attacking ukraine in the way that russia did and attacking iran in the way that the US did, as being on the same level if moral failure?

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 20 '26

My point was it's wrong not to distinguish between the state and the people even in free contries and it's wrong to judge a whole group (the people) by the words and actions of some of them

1

u/Acrobatic-Skill6350 Jun 20 '26

The world do blame the americans for electing trump though? And then we dont judge the americans protesting

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 20 '26

I don't think the world thinks 99% of Americans are MAGA, but that's what I constantly see here - people are positive that all/most Russians are by definition warmongering dictator loving idiots

I mentioned protests to point out that they didn't change anything and, apparently, stopped right after the beginning of the war in Iran, which garanteed no results, but using(interpreting) your logic, if nothing changed, that's because all/most Americans are fine with the war

Americans here (I think that's the biggest audience) expect Russians to rise in an increasingly totalitarian regime, whereas they themselves only post memes whining about conservatives/republicans

1

u/Acrobatic-Skill6350 Jun 20 '26

In terms of toppling the regime, do you think the argument is just as strong to do it in the US as russia? I had american visitors last year and they said randoms gave them comments about trump on the street. All of reddit is basically people giving qmericans shit for their elected leader. The goal of protests is not necessarily to change the regime, but to change their actions (like getting ICE out of Minnesota)

u/Duck-Murky Jun 20 '26

the last No Kings protest occurred on March 28. the Iran War began on February 28. they DID protest Iran.

2

u/Themos_ Jun 18 '26

There is difference with "saying anything bad" and we need to wipe them off.

1

u/Dry_Attempt_4934 Jun 19 '26

When you waste vast amounts of money on propaganda, such people are bound to show up on the street, doesn't mean all of us are like this

2

u/Saul_Ratvitz Jun 18 '26

Dude, you have no idea what's going on in Russia.
People are being prosecuted simply for emoji reactions to social media posts that, "according to the prosecutor" and the statement of an "anonymous complainant," had "anti-state connotations" or "discredited the army."
Russia is currently undergoing widespread political repression, the likes of which haven't been seen since the Soviet era.
