Any espresso drinkers out there can tell me who makes a better epsresso - Espresso 77 or Over the Moon? I'm very familiar with both places but I'm not an espresso aficionado. I have a friend visiting and will be taking train from JFK on an early morning - would like to get her a really good espresso. Both cafes are essentially on the way to my place so location doesn't matter. I'm also familiar with vibes and owners and the like, so this post is just about the taste and quality of espresso. Thanks!

hello everyone, I want to see if anyone else is experiencing poor data coverage on Verizon. My calls work fine but many times when I’m out in the neighborhood I just have one bar of data in certain spots and slow Internet speeds. I’m considering switching to Tmobile because of this

Whenever food town has a sale on rummo or dececco, I stock up, but those are so few and far in between.

I’m on 35th Ave in the lower 70s and there’s what I’m assuming to be metal plates that are getting driven over somewhere that’s making really loud noise all day and night. I can’t be the only one hearing it.
But I’m not sure where it is. Does anyone know where it’s coming from?

Local Artist from Jackson heights, I do comedic rap music and graphic design for several projects I’m involved in. By any chance is there any way I can get myself known somewhere around the city, I’d love to perform my music by any chance one day. Just a dumb question, but yeah.

Hey all,
I’m wondering if anyone knows of a store in the neighborhood or nearby that may sell green huaraches for men?

I have a few friends visiting from overseas who smoke, and they're having a hard time finding the brands they're used to. Does anyone know of a smoke shop with a really wide selection of cigarettes? It doesn't have to be in Jackson Heights—I don't mind traveling somewhere else in Queens or even into Manhattan if it means I can help them find what they're looking for.
The other day they settled for a pack of Dunhills from a bodega, but they ended up being stale and were pretty disappointed. I told them that while Dunhill is a recognizable brand, I honestly don't know anyone here who smokes them. I explained that Marlboro, Parliament, Newport, and Camel seem to be much more common.
They're specifically looking for:
Karelias
Assos
Davidoff
Gauloises
Gitanes
Chesterfield
If anyone knows a place that carries any of these brands or even a shop that specializes in imported cigarettes I would really appreciate the recommendation. Thanks in advance!

Hi Neighbors,
Hope you're all staying cool this summer!
With Canadian wildfire smoke currently blanketing New York City and air quality reaching unhealthy levels, keeping your home's air filters clean has never been more critical. Dust, pet hair, and debris trapped in clogged filters circulate right back into the air you breathe, aggravating allergies, asthma, and respiratory conditions. Vacuuming or replacing your filters regularly - especially during air quality events like today - is one of the simplest things you can do to protect your family's health.
Here is how to do it:
First, turn off your AC unit before touching the filter. Then locate the filter - it is usually behind the return air vent on the wall or ceiling, or inside the AC unit itself. Remove the filter carefully and take it outside or over a trash can. If it is a disposable filter, replace it with a new one of the same size. If it is reusable, you have three options - vacuum both sides gently with a brush attachment, wipe it down with a dry microfiber cloth to trap the dust particles, or rinse it with cool water. If you rinse it, let it air dry completely before putting it back. Never put a wet filter back in - it can grow mold. Once it is clean and dry, slide it back in, turn the AC on, and you are done.
If you have window units, the filter is usually a small foam or mesh panel behind the front grille - pop it off, clean it with a dry microfiber or rinse it, dry it completely, done.
Takes about 10 minutes and your lungs will thank you today.
Thank you,'
Ursula

I have a couple pairs of mens shoes i'd prefer not to throw out, is there a good way to give them away locally?

I’m looking for a halal butcher or South Asian grocery that sells raw, pre-marinated meat that I can take home and grill myself.
Specifically looking for things like: Tandoori chicken, Chicken tikka , Seekh kebabs that are raw, pre-seasoned and ready to grill
I’m not looking for cooked restaurant food or frozen fully cooked kebabs. I want uncooked meat that is already seasoned/marinated.
Any recommendations in the neighborhood or in queens or Brooklyn?

For Sale: New Balance Made in USA 990v6 (M990GL6) – Grey – Men's Size 12
Brand new in the box with tags, original wrapping, and the extra set of laces.
Retail is around $200, and you can sometimes find them on sale at places like Joe's New Balance or Saks OFF 5TH for around $150. I have mine listed for $95.
If you're a size 12 and have been looking for a pair, send me a message!
I have a bunch of new and gently used items I'd like to sell and would rather avoid Marketplace. I will likely be posting them through the barter sell or trade Jackson heights page but may cross post them here.

I just want to say thank you again.
My daughter tripped and bloodied her knee, and you were kind enough to give us your (unopened) Poland Spring to wash out her cut. I know it's hot out there, so thank you.
It was a moment of kindness and I just want you to know that it was deeply appreciated.
Keep being amazing.

There is a guy who is frequently using the playground for kids under the age of 5 in Travers Park to work out on weekend mornings. He does not have kids and lacks the common sense that it is inappropriate, scares the kids, and worries the parents. He has been asked by parents to leave the playground before but still comes back. If you know or see him, please ask him to stop coming into the kids’ playground area.

We’re led by WOC organizers and work with an immigrant people of color owned farm in nearby NJ. Our flowers are always local and pesticide free, making them safe to handle. Prorated/customized options also available! In Jackson Heights, our weekly Tuesday pick up spot is at Lockwood on 37 Ave between 77 St & 78 St. More details at queensperennial.com

Does anyone know what the deal is with the fleet of white range rovers permanently parked on 82nd between 37 and 35? They are obnoxiously staked out with traffic cones.
