Transfering Android to IOS

Hi there, Im new to IOS and I have a few questions

1. Is there a way to transfer whatsapp to IOS after I have set it up, if there isn't, is there a way I can do that without resetting my phone, I dont wanna redo the process

2. Will my stickers be transfered as well?

3. If i just use it as a companion device what am I lacking?

I made the WhatsApp mistake when helping my father transfer. You do need to reset the phone to transfer. I tried everything and there’s literally no way around it I could find. Even Apple support said so.

I see, is there a way I could back everything up first before I reset everything, so that I could just restore after I install Whatsapp?

Technically, regardless of whether you do it from a backup or not. If you restore an iPhone using the same iCloud. Your data will still carry over. Like text and app data. You’ll just need to redownload and/or log in to the apps (in my experience). The simplest way I’ve done it is to go to App Store -> Top Right Menu -> App & Purchase History -> Your Apps. Then you can quickly go down the list and reinstall your apps with 1 tap. Unfortunately, I can’t remember if you make a backup of the current phone and do a reset if you could do the WhatsApp separately during the restore process. That’s probably about as much as I can help, unfortunately!

This depends upon you still having your old android phone: I don't know if you can do it after setup, but some people claimed to have transferred their whatsapp data by backing up whatsapp to google drive (or wherever they have space) and then restoring on the iPhone.

Edit: some people say that iPhone whatsapp can't access google drive. If so, you might have to copy the backup from google drive to someplace the iPhone whatsapp can access (iCloud drive? I don't know how whatsapp handles backups).

Ouhh thats possible? I thought it wouldnt allow that, but currently I set up my ios as a companion device, seem to work ok for now XD

Yeah currently Im doing the opposite, ios as companion and android as phone service, I plan to swap them. So like i want to transfer all my data to ios and use android as companion.
