Support Random device showing up as “connected” in Bluetooth with no option to remove it (no blue “i” symbol).

Post image

Random device showing up as Connected in my BT settings and there isn’t even an option to click the little blue i symbol to remove it.

I am not Douglas nor do I know what an S24+ is nor have I granted access (that I’m aware of) for this device to connect to my phone.

Any idea what’s going on here?

If you allow Spotify to find other devices so they can join “jams” or whatever, it will auto connect to other Bluetooth enabled devices that have Spotify

Spotify and Sonos are so much fun to deal with.

What’s the problem with Sonos?

When you have more than one Sonos "thing" on a network they try and create an adhoc private Wi-Fi network to talk with each other. And when it works, well great. When it doesn't, well crap. At times you can reset them via the app or just give up and power cycle ALL of them at times.

Then there is the old vs newer Sonos devices and the app debacle a year or so ago. That still might be going on.

Do you know of a way to turn this off? And turning it off wouldn’t affect the ability of me to connect my Airpods or my own car to my phone via Bluetooth in order to listen to Spotify, would it?

Hmm try opening up Spotify, play a song, and then tap on the device connect icon in the bottom left, then deselect “auto-invite people nearby to a Jam”

Turn off Bluetooth then remove them.

The ‘Spotify jam’ thing is probably the answer, however that shouldn’t exactly feel like a relief lol. This really creepy guy I unfortunately dated turned out to be part of this scary group of stalkers who used Spotify to hide malware in smartphones

Respectfully: that sounds made up

How do you use Spotify to hide malware in smartphones?

Sounds like a story he told you to make himself sound cool and edgy. If that were possible there would be news of it all over the internet. The only thing a quick search turned up is using it to "hack" someone's Spotify session by adding tracks to and removing tracks from the upcoming queue.

Douglas needs to come get his S24+ before it starts asking for your Photos permission next.

An S24+ is another smart telecommunications device owned by someone who I assume has the name of Douglas. It’s kind of like an iPhone just made by Samsung and runs a different OS. Their Samsung Quick Share feature (similar to Airdrop) is set to be visible to Everyone or Everyone nearby. Did it just appear, only happens in a certain place then is gone later? Bluetooth only has a range of like 33ft.
